Asana Makes Task Organization Effortless at Work and at Home

    Reviewed on Jun 05, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is an extremely user-friendly application that is perfect for organizing and breaking down tasks. I use Asana both in my personal and work life. At home, my partner and I easily make tasks for each other which holds us accountable and allows us space to provide all of the details without rely on info-dumping to each other and remembering. At work, I have many duties that repeat at regular intervals and involve multiple steps, so making use of the recurring and subtask features has saved me so much time, effort, and energy.

I'm aware of many integrations, though I don't personally utilize them. There have been only a few times I've ever seen Asana be "down" and most of those were datacenter-related rather than on Asana's end.

Purchasing at least the first tier is essential for access to custom fields and rules for automation. The price is well worth the amount of brainpower those will save you.

Between Asana's official help articles and community forums, I have been able to accomplish much of what I'd hoped to and more.

I haven't had the need or desire to explore the AI capabilities, but I'm aware they are there should I want to explore them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish more of the community-voted ideas would be implemented timely. Many of them seem relatively simple, like formatting in task titles (bold, underline, color, etc.).

The focus on AI teammates is a bit off-putting as I find it unreliable and missing the point of collaborating with actual humans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have dozens of tasks that I'm responsible for that repeat at regular intervals. Having a hub where I can reliably see the tasks, when they're due, and my instructions is a huge time and energy saver.

A Great Solution for Organizing Work

    Reviewed on Jun 04, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
As a UX/UI professional, what I appreciate most about Asana is how well it keeps complex projects organized. It lets me manage design tasks, track and incorporate feedback, collaborate smoothly with developers and stakeholders, and keep an eye on project timelines—all without losing sight of priorities or deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Asana is that it can sometimes feel overwhelming when managing large projects with many tasks, subtasks, and custom fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps solve project coordination and visibility challenges. As a UX/UI designer, I often work with multiple stakeholders, feedback cycles, and deadlines. Asana keeps requirements, tasks, approvals, and timelines organized

Great Action & Project Summaries, but Missing a Few Basic PM Features

    Reviewed on Jun 04, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The way they present summary of actions and projects
What do you dislike about the product?
A few basic project management features are not yet present, such as setting the duration of a task and having a “Back” or “Previous” function to undo changes after moving timelines incorrectly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are very focused on AI functions that we can use to summarise and report on the status of projects.

Tedious to add dates and get everything scheduled out. Would love a date calculator.

Task tracking is easy, everything else feels hard and inaccessible.

What do you like best about the product?
Kanban/having multiple views in general is especially helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
Assigning a task to multiple people creates 2 separate tasks. If we're both assigned, why can't it be one task that either person can check off?

I also don't like that everything is presented as a Task. It's difficult to present ideas, and everything is just tasks in a list. There needs to be better functionality for a document hub, and easier methods to find chats between tasks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Honestly, not a ton right now. It's been helpful for tracking PO's, but these are messy because everything is a task to be checked off. Comments within tasks feel like they get lost, and documents aren't embedded well that I can view them at a glance. I'm evaluating other software to see what might work better for our needs.

    Streamlined Our Hybrid Team's Workflow

    Reviewed on Jun 03, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the ease of use of Asana. You don't have to be someone who's studied a lot of project management or has experience with tools to be able to use it and see benefits. I find the product boards very helpful for building out project plans, attaching project briefs, and using RESI models for roles and responsibilities every day. The integration with cloud works really well, and I appreciate being able to incorporate AI features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we had access to the portfolio, at the level that we're at. We're just a small enough brand that the financial piece of it doesn't make sense for us, but I do wish we had that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for cross-functional communication and organization, keeping our hybrid team organized across full-time, part-time, and fractional employees.
