Excellent Project Management and Team Collaboration Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I used Asana before the UI/UX updates, and I think they made huge improvements with the layout and project management side of the platform. I like that it's free to a point, which allows you to figure the tool out and bring your team up to speed. Overall, a great platform for keeping all your projects and teams in line.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the team communication piece of Asana, but they have integrated with my favorite communication tool, Slack. It does provide a fix for their issues, but causes you to have more than one platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped me stay on time and up to date with my projects. I was able to keep my team updated on tasks and completion dates easily.

Connect Slack to make it a complete team communication tool.

You really need to access the needs of your team. It works great for me with small teams but I have not used for large teams under the Enterprise plan.
Asana for commercial cleaning
What do you like best about the product?
Asana gives us the ability to communicate with all levels of management. It allows us to find new and interesting ways to solve problems
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the structure of the projects can get a little confusing for newer users. Generally after a little bit of training and time using the product it gets easier
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has allowed us to affectively manage the projects that we have on a day-to-day basis. Instead of things getting lost in translation. Instead of things being forgot about. We have everything in one place
Great Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love that everything can be view on the calendar and separately or all at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's takes a bit to get used to the repeating tasks feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeps my team accountable.
Simple -Point and click project/task management
What do you like best about the product?
I like how simply it is to see/assign task (and subtask) to people in your org and group, and external consultants -which is another thing that makes it great --easy access sharing to projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when the simple point-and-click features that I like about Asana, actually weigh down the task, and another (connected) tool / platform has to be used for detailed follow up from Dev teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a million Google docs and google sheets all over the place, with random notes on follow up / action items in random columns.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't look for Asana to solve all of your PM workflow issues if you work within in a diverse company/start up with cross platform needs (Biz Dev, talking to Tech/Engineering, etc). Its better than most point-and-click platforms,, but still not a great solution for heavy development tracking for tech based starts ups.
Great user experience
What do you like best about the product?
Delegating is a core competency these days, and Asana makes that easy. When working with offsite teams or larger groups on key projects with can't-be-missed deadlines, Asana is perfect. Their mobile app is also quite useful for participating in projects on the go. It's a very text-based tool, so go with Asana (vs. more visual tools) if you like making lists.
What do you dislike about the product?
More features = more clutter, and the interface definitely got clunkier as tools got more sophisticated. Some things (like adding subheads to tasks within a project) aren't intuitive, but another good thing about Asana is you can always undo your mistakes!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating is easier with Asana, especially with offsite folks. Task management and assignment
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you like a text-based tool for your project management, go with Asana. It's not as visual as other tools, but that's something that I really liked about it.
Asana makes the ride worthwhile
What do you like best about the product?
The app function of Asana is awesome! It's very useful for task management and updating projects, even when you're not on your desk. Ideal for team setups that are spread out in different locations.

None - I've had a very positive experience with the tool thus far.

Best software for solving task management. It works in small teams and I think with good governance it can work with larger ones.

lo que me gusta más es la facilidad de uso y la fácil comunicación con mis colaboradores para el manejo de las actividades, constantemente me permite estar activo en mis actividades y asignarle a mis compañeros actividades para que podamos estar sincronizados casi instantáneamente. La facilidad de crear perfiles en el sistema es muy bueno, aunque preferiría que se pudiese centralizar la activación de usuarios y que no se tengan que separar las actividades pendientes por vistas de empresa
What I like best is the ease of use and easy communication with my collaborators to manage the activities, constantly allows me to be active in my activities and assign my colleagues activities so that we can be synchronized almost instantly. The ease of creating profiles in the system is very good, although I would prefer to centralize the activation of users and do not have to separate the pending activities by company views

What do you dislike about the product?
La poca personalización de las notificaciones, creo que es algo que se puede mejorar, al igual que las vistas para determinar las actividades más urgentes, seria bueno incluir alguna manera de priorizar actividades de tal manera que podamos darle atención a las mas importantes. Otro punto a mejorar es la posibilidad de darle avance a las tareas, hay veces que no logro terminar una actividad pero esta en un 75% y no tengo como hacerlo saber

Mejora en la asignación de actividades, es muy buena para ir dejando el historial de aquello que ya culminamos, además mantener las actividades ordenadas para saber cual es la que se vence primero

Es necesario terminar de pulir la estética de la app y quizás crear una versión de escritorio
Great collaboration tool with robust options
What do you like best about the product?
I love the depth of detail I can add to Asana. I can create projects, tasks, subtasks, etc. and keep tabs on everything as the project leader. I can assign my colleagues to each line item, add a due date, and keep track of the workflow across multiple projects at the same time with relative ease. I like the mobile app, as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the level of detail is confusing for my colleagues, but I would venture to guess this is a people problem, not a software problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've eliminated too many cooks in the kitchen, and I can delegate quickly and efficiently without writing 10 emails.
Excellent for planning and project tracking
What do you like best about the product?
It is simplicity, it is very intuitive, easy to use and user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I know it is out of the scope of the site, but it would be nice to have the capability of doing real-time interaction with other team member
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To stay on track, we are a pretty large lab and being on the same page (timewise) is very useful.

It could be very useful to build in other capabilities for communication with other team members.
