Great tool for collaborating across teams
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and set tasks. Easy to share information across multiple teams. Can track progress and add assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be time consuming to replicate information across multiple channels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration, Communication.

Get total buy in and training for your team. The more comfortable they are with the product, the more they will use it.

What do you like best about the product?
With Asana, you could enlist all of your project tasks annd assign it to a teammate.Plus you could also attach a file to each task.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no instant screenshot of where everyone is. A one-stop dashboard would be nice.

If you just need to keep track of what your team is doing within the project, then you may want to use this product.

The program could use some extra features and reminders.

Not Great For Small Teams

Creating tasks, seeing the tasks on the dashboard, and assigning them to team members.

Difficult to manage and customize tasks.

It's probably better for managing bigger projects with large teams.
Asana is a clear and concise task management program
What do you like best about the product?
I like interactive team elements of asana (i.e. the ability to tag people in comments, add various followers, etc.)
What do you dislike about the product?
Our team actually uses the comment area of each task pretty heavily for project-related communication. It'd be nice if there was a way to make this more robust or organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company is all remote, so Asana is the main way we assign, organize, and communicate about tasks.
Awesome Experience for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to quickly and easily see the tasks that I need to accomplish for my clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an easier way to integrate my different clients' projects and tasks onto one page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a VA so I save my clients time and essentially money because they are focused on the tasks that drive their businesses forward.

I want to have all my client projects on one page, or on my own portal if possible.
Useful for tracking projects across multiple departments, but can be frustrating to navigate

Navigation is not intuitive and you often don't know if things are saved.

Effective Project Management Software
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create projects and tasks, assign to individuals and keep everyone up-to-date on progress. Asana sends you email reminders and updates on tasks that you're following and notifies you of overdue tasks. This program helps keep teams on track with project deadlines while keeping everyone in the loop with progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a great integration with external calendars. Have had problems in the past with syncing Asana task deadlines to Microsoft Outlook calendar. Also lacks capability to assign multiple individuals the same task. Has functions similar to email messaging but lacks integration to completely eliminate need for email
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana provides the ability for teams to keep track of what projects and tasks all team members are working on at the time. Supervisors can use this tool to monitor workloads and progress on projects so deadlines are met in a timely manner. This is a way to keep tasks organized so nothing gets lost or forgotten. Asana also sends email reminders regarding tasks with pending due dates or tasks that are overdue. Asana has been very helpful in making our team more efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not the easiest to use at first. You can only assign a task to one individual at a time. Calendar integrations are not flawless.
Asana is a must have for Scrum Projects!

Recommended for engineers & project managers alike! Our team uses Asana for projects because of it's ease of use, ability to organize by projects, tags, & labels, and the easy navigational tools like search.

I love the ability to collaborate with my employees. It gives us the opportunity to say on track and everyone knows where we are at a glance.

I would like it to integrate with outlook for deadlines
