  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create tasks and assign them to teammates. Due dates and projects help keep everything organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found it great for documentation --- commenting structure and checking archives has not been utilized fully yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross-functional collaboration where knowledge is spread among many people. Centralized recording and easy to circulate as a talking point for any in-person meetings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure it's truly project-related. As opposed to say, engineering task-related.
Be diligent about using the provided features; it isn't quite like Pivotal Tracker that forces you to some degree, but it's incredibly useful.

What do you like best about the product?
As a task management tool, Asana provides a lot of functionality to cover almost everything you can think of regarding manage tasks, which is good, very comprehensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
deep learning curve, slow, too much friction, too much functionality that are very distracting as compared to the core task management flow

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I don't feel like they are going towards the right direction. the overall product felt very overwhelmed, slow, too much things going on at the same time, while, what people need, is a product with strong/clear/easy to use core task management flow, while other additional functionality are of very low frequent usage, and they shouldn't be distracting.

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoyed working with Asana, and I ocassionally still use it, the reason that I did not continue with it is because i needed something that worked also as a CRM.

I highly recommend it though for anyone that is looking to get organized and manage projects
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not really dislike anything about it, however i would have loved it if it had a CRM plugin - or worked somehow with another one. Another element would have been the social media integration and the bulk emailing would have been nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The challenge of keeping organized and also of communicated with your team -as well as keeping on time with projects.

Asana makes collaboration and project management easy!

  • January 27, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like having everything in one place---no more long email chains! Deadlines, checklists, tasks, comments, feedback, drafts...they're all there.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Asana's site loads slowly. Also, I wish more of my clients used Asana!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of many deadlines for many projects at once, with details, feedback, comments, etc. for each project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give Asana a try for just personal projects---that alone is very helpful. And when working with multiple team members, it eliminates long email chains, putting everything related to each project in one place. It's been incredibly helpful.

Asana is my default choice for managing projects and lists

  • January 27, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana's simple, beautiful design. I also like the constant addition of new features and fixes, such as the Kanban boards that were just released. It's easy to teach my team how to use it and feels natural to adapt to any workflow. I've used Asana almost 5 years and it's always getting better.
What do you dislike about the product?
With all the improvements, Asana can feel a little slow at times. I think the pricing has gotten somewhat expensive if your team is large.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana for both personal projects and business projects. It's so easy to keep track of many tasks and projects at once. We've implemented some pretty complex workflows in Asana, too, even though the workflow system is very informal and doesn't include a real assignment or branching engines like more complex products such as JIRA. We actually used JIRA for a while and were overwhelmed by the workflow editing, the security, the "schemes", etc., and found Asana to be 80% of the functionality at 10% of the learning curve.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try Asana or Trello before going after a more complex product. The simplicity greatly lowers the adoption struggles for your team.

Beautiful way to organize your ideas across your devices

  • January 27, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a beautiful tool and an excellent way to visualize your to-dos across both your personal and professional life. I love the mobile app as well as desktop implementation and am most excited about their new release of cards/boards to visualize and organize tasks through simple drag-and-drop. It's incredibly user-friendly, simple and easy to navigate, and designed with care and precision.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints. Asana provides all the usability I need without overcomplicating things. Adding many more features would probably just become tedious—I'm happy with the functionality Asana has now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While my favorite way to accomplish tasks is to schedule them onto time in my calendar, Asana is a great way to keep notes and other thoughts at top of mind or save for later. The team updates and collaboration features are handy, and I love how easy it is to rearrange tasks and update them. I'm staying on top of my many tasks as a social media manager and use it as well to keep track of personal tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool for personal/individual use, and good for teams as well—but only if you properly onboard everyone and make sure everyone's on the same page about using this. It's only really helpful for team use if everyone is committed to making updates, staying on top of their tasks, using the calendar, etc.

Excellent Collaboration Features and Beautiful Interface

  • January 27, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has made collaborating with my team easy and convenient. I can assign specific tasks to specific team members, set completion date expectations and discuss projects. Also, being able to create different projects that have different team members involved has helped me stay organized with the various aspects of our business. This also allows our team members to not get notified on tasks that don't pertain to them.
What do you dislike about the product?
A realtime discussion feature would be a great addition for our team. If we could live chat about what we are currently working on it would help us stay on the same page sooner. A lot of changes that happen on our projects need an immediate response.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we manage and facilitate an online school. Write the lessons and work with third party vendors for videos and graphic needs. This software has helped manage every stage of the creation of a new lesson. Our team members are clear on what's expected of them and we're meeting our tight timelines effortlessly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The more you utilize all of the features of Asana the more useful it will be for your needs. Using the due date and reminder features has really helped our team stay on the same page.
