Great for project management for remote employees
What do you like best about the product?
Access by several remote team members/collaborators. We are able to quickly see workload and shift as needed. Additionally, contract/freelancers could easily access system and update progress on various projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some calendar planning functions were lacking that were under development for future release. We were hoping to use this more robustly for trade show planning and management, however some of the calendar functions we wanted regarding events/tasks were not yet available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solved our ways to manage contract and remote team members' tasks and workload. Extremely helpful to communicated to cross-functional teams on progress. Also was a simple enough system that freelancers and contract employees could gain access and use with little to no extra training/on-boarding.
Asana
What do you like best about the product?
asana makes timelines pretty easy to visualize and see
What do you dislike about the product?
For me, it was a hard adjustment to get used to and to understand the program. This is the reason for the lower marks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
asana allows everyone on our team keep up to date with deadlines. We just recently started using the program, so as far as long time use, I do not have much to say about that.
Love Asana but wish they'd fix one little thing
What do you like best about the product?
I really do enjoy Asana. It's got an interesting and intuitive UI, it's easy to use and makes sense. While originally used for managing tasks and 1:1's for professional development, we've come to use it as an entire project management software for full implementation projects. The ability to add users outside of my organization so I can send notifications is exactly what my team has been needing for years. While there was some learning curve for the whole team, I found things pretty intuitive and process of building out a project makes sense to me, and templating the projects makes our lives so much easier.
The only caveat I have is that clicking on a line item makes it immediately editable, and this is a huge pain.

What do you dislike about the product?
I really only have one major concern with Asana, and it's a funny one from a UI standpoint. Perhaps other people don't see it this way, but I do.
When I am viewing and managing my tasks in Asana, the one thing that drives me absolutely crazy is that as soon as I click on a line, it's immediately become text-editable. So, any time I just want to click on a line, it goes into this mode and I always end up accidently typing or erasing, or just needing to click out of that box. I love everything else about Asana except for this. It doesn't make sense to me, and probably will not. Perhaps I'm the 1% who hate this feature, but there's gotta be a better way - at least make edit ability a double-click option.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Asana for project management software. Where this was originally just a task management software for professional development, we've realized this can be used to manage full projects. The features we've found while really building out projects have become a massive help to our team and our clients are reaping the benefits. It's so easy to communicate tasks to clients with this tool, now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While this was originally just given to us as a simple task management software, once we opened it up and started building projects to manage in Asana we realized just how capable it actually is. Where we thought it didn't have a lot of use to us at first, it's now becoming a go-to tool for my team to operate efficiently.
Seems good but can't really get into using it
What do you like best about the product?
I like seeing tasks assigned to me across multiple workstreams and projects
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to sign into and remember to reference yet another tracking tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're managing a large project with multiple workstreams, teammates, and deliverables. The main benefit is having a single place for everyone to know what's going on at any given time
Great for Project Management and Basecamp
What do you like best about the product?
Storing all reports, discussions, assets, etc. in one place is a great way to not only keep everything organized and searchable, but also a great way to backup data. Use as a project management platform that sends notification alerts in a more user friendly manner is done so better than competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI was a big dislike, but it has come a long way since redesign. Also had issues with always having to sign in rather than it saving credentials or session. Could've been a security at organization or an Asana feature?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Asana as basecamp for marketing campaigns, projects, and analytics report archiving has eliminated the need for multiple platforms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to train employees before use in order to maximize Asana's capabilities but also to make sure it is used properly.
Best thing ... if you have the time.
What do you like best about the product?
You could literally run your life from Asana. Personal, work... anything. It has endless possibilities. It’s lists & capabilities are customizable and each item you add into your workflow has layers of options.
What do you dislike about the product?
I stopped using it because it was too much to keep up with. Too confusing how things connected together and how to manage it. I would add stuff to my list and not know where it was when I went to do it. I couldn’t figure out how my inbox worked or how to connect all the tasks into my inbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was better organized, but I don’t think I saved time. Could’ve spent more time setting up a project in Asana than I could’ve actually doing it.
Easy, straightforward task management
What do you like best about the product?
Asana makes it very easy to set up tasks to share with a team, schedule on a calendar, and check off when complete. It's a simple tool with not a lot of bonus features, but it gets the job done for users who just need a nice overview of a list of tasks to be completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The list view is not for everyone, and it lacks a lot of the more robust features of other project management tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of my clients prefers this tool over others, so I use it with his team. It's allowed me to have a clear view of what everyone's part is within the organization, and when their tasks are due, so I can plan/schedule my own work around that.
Reliable with Expanding Functionality
What do you like best about the product?
Projects can be broken down and assigned to team members. Subtasks, notes and uploads can be saved right in the task. They even added dependencies last year so you can make tasks rely on others and have dates automatically shift if one task is late!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot of deeper, more customizable abilities, but they did add dependencies and a few other cool features last year, so they appear to be listening to their clients and adding features over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
project management, organization and task assignment.
Sticky
What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration, general flexibility, private/public ability
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve, text formatting in comments
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration on tasks

Asana has a very easy to understand interface
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has simple and easy to use interface. It has great set of tools that are not very complex. I love that they constantly release new features and we are very satisfied from using this product. They do everything to meet our needs
What do you dislike about the product?
No integration with MS word and that causes a bit of problems when you want the work to be documented as well
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning tasks and tracking them
