Excellent solution for team project management
What do you like best about the product?
Simple, intuitive, versatile, scalable...the list goes on. Asana is one of the most flexible, yet simple project management tools I've used. I like it so much, I use it for my personal projects and to-do list. One feature that really sold it for me is the ability to sort by today, upcoming and later, similar to David Allen's Getting Things Done approach. This has been an incredible help in prioritizing tasks and keeping track of ideas, even if they're off in the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one aspect I've found lacking is a central location to post notes and share documents outside of individual projects. But that's a minor issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication has increased dramatically. The ability to comment on tasks and projects is great.

It's so simple a caveman could do it.

Best Project Management System I have used.
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is simple and easy for staff to understand and use and the constant development of new features allows us to grow as a business alongside the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could use better user management system for administrator
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the open style of asana's project management system it allows for transparency within our business as well as greater opportunities to build our corporate culture and employee cooperation. Individuals are more likely to know when and how to help other coworkers in varying levels of projects by simply seeing the progression and stages of any number of projects.

Do yourself a favor and make the switch as soon as possible
Really solid project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
it was one of my first project management tools which I used to finish the biggest project of my life - medical tourism platform and video consultations. I loved it for simple interface and really great team management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Couple years ago it wasn't integrated with many external platforms. From what I know now it's way better. You have dropbox, slack, google drive etc. It's also still not that great in mobile area. Recently I prefer Trello for really simple project management then dealing with asana or even slack which are too big for my purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I mentioned I solved really big project with Asana. It helped me to manage small team which reduced costs and also helped me to execute and finish that big project. Most of team members was remote so we needed something solid and reliable. Asana provided that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I can easily recommend Asana for example for startup teams, web project teams. It'll be really helpful to manage different small teams and control their tasks. It's really great when team is using Agile method or Scrum.
Simple - Easy - beneficial
What do you like best about the product?
It's straight forward on how to use. No trouble getting started. Also emailing tasks directly to Asana is extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that it doesn't have a windows app for use on my windows computer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage all our company's IT needs. This software manages all my open "tickets".

Go for it. This is very helpful tool and easy to use.
Good Team App
What do you like best about the product?
That you can share things with other team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once in a while it would not show what other team members had completed. It would show not completed but actually was.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to be able to use this app for my team members so that they were all clear on what their daily tasks were. After using the app for a couple of weeks it was not exactly what I was hoping it would be. So it actually did not benefit my particular business but i do think it is an awesome concept!

Difficulty with userinterface. Unable to assign tasks to multiple people

Projects across multiple groups and departments. Minimizing needless emails.
Making Projects Easier
What do you like best about the product?
Asana has made my work immensely easier to put together long term projects and keep track of many moving pieces.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, it isn't possible to assign multiple people to a sub task which is often how things get assigned in meetings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with multiple projects that require our entire team to be part of the process. Asana makes it easier to show others a timeline for work as well as interject new details and tasks as needed.
Asana has been really great in helping me get organized.
What do you like best about the product?
Great way to organize tasks and also keep up with status of projects. Our team uses it to stay on track and to help meet our company goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to sort by multiple things - such as by date and then by hearts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana definitely helps with communication within our team. We don't have to email directly as much since all communication happens within Asana. It has also helped me stay organized when I have multiple tasks happening in many different projects.

If you need to get organized - especially within a team setting - Asana is a great tool!
Project management at its finest
What do you like best about the product?
I love Asana's minimal animations and get out of the way UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana doesn't work well for technical project management where more detailed formatting and character styles, as well as inline images etc are required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana to manage impromptu tasks and projects, as well as coordinate on short-term strike lists like PR around a new product launch.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is great when you need a "light" solution. It's biggest strength is its simplicity, which can also be a weakness when viewed through the lens of managing complex tasks. It shines when used in conjunction with a more permanent task tracker (like Confluence).
Asana helps me get organized!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that I can drag and rearrange things easily. Plus, everything syncs to my phone!
What do you dislike about the product?
When establishing deadlines for subtasks in each task, it can get confusing if you didn't individually label them for that specific task. For example, I have a content calendar and each task includes the same subtasks. On my phone it will just say "recipe" and the date instead of saying "xyz recipe" -- it just means I have to be more specific in my subtasks so I can see what is due from my phone

Helps me to be more organized. Easier to see everything in one calendar and able to rearrange as needed
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I do not work with a team but if I do in the future, this is a great option. You can set individual deadlines and set it for different team members. I believe you can also add notes for members which I think is really helpful -- less emailing back & forth yay!
