Asana, Now or Never

What do you like best about the product?
It is simple, structured to navigate easily, and vibrant in colors. It is a great way to keep business organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get a bit messy, and sometimes I notice that my newest project added will appear at the bottom of long lists and I will have to drag it all the way back up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving internal problems that deal with projects. It is beneficial to use Asana in that all projects are in one place and organized nicely for any user to use.

Great product - a bit too robust for our needs

What do you like best about the product?
I liked how easy it was to set things up. It was fairly intuitive to set up. Its main features are pretty good. They are trying to set up a KanBan board which it's quite up to snuff, but their core product is solid.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot of information that you can put on each task within the projects, but you cannot decide which pieces of information you can display on the task list view. In their attempt to keep things "Clean and simple" they force you to drill down deeper to see the info you really want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was using it mostly for task management. I work on many small projects, nothing big enough to deserve a gant chart, but there are many multi-day projects that can easily get disorganized and lost.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would stick with their core products for now. They are moving into creating Kan Ban style project management - it's still a little clunky, but I'm sure they will make it as good as the rest of their product. They give you quite a bit of functionality with their Free, not time limit offer, it's an easy way to test it and see how it works and if it works for your team. Set up it fairly quick and intuitive.

Intuitive

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can assign task to your team members and the possibilty to tick off the completed task. It's good to keep track of objectives or project stages. It's also great to be able to word search the whole system - it's very handy as you may not remember where the information is stored.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes can come across as a bit fiddly, or just a very advanced to do list. I think it could be that I'm not aware of all the functionalities the software offers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organisation and project management - saves us a lot of email back and forth to set projects up, and keep track of who is meant to be doing what. It's a one stop shop.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Everyone needs to be fully "Onboard" and keen to use it for it to deliver its full potential

What do you like best about the product?
Asana is awesome for anyone needing to get orginzied on a budget. The free version is packed full of great things to help you accomplish any task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only thing I found was a pain was when someone you know has a great board and you want to use it. It’s quite hard to share the layout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management the tasks that are not day to day

Easy To Use

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to navigate through tasks and how you can quickly create new task and projects. I also like that you can easily search the title of a task to see whose board it is on at that given time and what the current status is off it. Another great feature is being able to not only mark tasks complete but to be able to go back and reopen them if need be.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some shortcuts aren't easily known and take some time to find. For example, making heading within the subtasks stand out more with bold or underlying features. That wasn't in the quick start and took a little digging into and searching to figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deligating and following up on task. It's easy to delegate tasks to others and then follow up on it and watch their progress. It is also a good way to keep yourself up to date on your own task and what you need to do. You can create a simple to do list (and other lists) for yourself to be able to frequently go back and forth to and check and update your daily task.

Simple and Easy to Use

What do you like best about the product?
I like the assignment feature, it allows me to quickly send tasks to team members and I can quickly see how things are progressing in files.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I loose a task when assigning it. I think my thumb hits the mouse trackpad and it kicks me out of the assignment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project updates. I can quickly see where projects are and their status. I can tell when we are waiting on certain items, and what information is missing quickly.

Dont know how we worked as a team without this!

What do you like best about the product?
Project management has been a blessing in disguise. We were missing out on so much forgotten work. We are now on top of every little or large task we are working on. Will never not use this or something similar again.
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be a better way to attach files and share larger projects within asan. This is more of a to do list for specific groups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not missing out on projects or conversations falling by the wayside.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a great program. If you feel lost in day to day work, then this is your solution.

Productive, Intuitive, and Easy

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part of Asana is the many different views that you can see your "tasks". The feature that I like the most would be the calendar view because you are able to see each departments to-do's and when they are planning and when they will be done. This really comes in handy when you are waiting on others work, for your work to continue.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the checked tasks on lists go away. I wish they would stay so you can see what you have accomplished. I realize this is a personal preference and others may not feel the same way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Productivity, mapping out our quarters and social strategy planning.
Our productivity has increased exponentially, as well as our plans for the future or even new ideas. New ideas sometimes come and they would be brilliant but for a later time. Asana lets us house those ideas in certain categories so that we are able to revisit them when the time is right. Our social strategy has been affected greatly, as well. We use Asana to map out and schedule all of the content related posts and can stay ahead of our social game.

Good as a basic to-do list

What do you like best about the product?
I like Asana's due date and comments section. I can set up a task, assign a due date, and make comments about what I need to do. I can also change the due date if I wasn't able to get the task. It's a good snapshot of what I need to complete that day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am using the free version, and I realize there are many more features available in the paid versions. I don't like that the comments get buried in the task. It would be nice to resolve the comments the same way you can resolve the task. It is also not much use as a project management system. Although, you can have subtasks in a task, there isn't much more you can add then the title of the subtask. This makes it difficult to break larger projects down into smaller sections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Asana as a task list to prepare for a nonprofit Gala. Asana helps us stay on task with reminders of the days/weeks tasks. We can assign tasks to various committee members and they can update their own tasks as they complete them, or assign it to others, if necessary. We also add documents to share with the other group members which makes it easier to find the document when needed, rather than searching emails or the shared drive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use Asana as a simple to-do list to keep you on track, but find a more robust software for project management.

What do you like best about the product?
Seeing the calendar of projects that everyone is working on is the most helpful. It's a nice way to see how much is really getting done.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes, they have recently made some new reporting features available that really make it user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and work flow for projects has been much easier since implementing asana
Recommendations to others considering the product:
