Love, LOVE this product!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the simplicity, yet efficiency of the product. It's user-friendly, easy to learn, easy to keep up with. I've used it on multiple projects with a couple of different teams. The ability to tie conversations to tasks and keep related items related is phenomenal. Being type A - I love the ability to check things off and see them disappear off the list. That's the best part. :)
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing - it's an excellent product. Great to work with and perfect for teams. Can't say there isn't really anything I don't like about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used it for project management - both for work and for personal. It's easy to collaborate with a team during a project, get feedback on items you submit or things you put in the list. The gantt chart add-in is also very nice and easy to use. The ability to tie in various programs make it very fluid to work with while developing. It's also good just my personal use. I can enable the app on my phone and keep up with my lists as I go. Doesn't seem to put too much on the phone either.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
PLAY with it. Explore the software when you first get it set up. there are so many little bells and whistles that you may miss out on some neat features if you don't. Also, check out the add-ins - some of them are extremely helpful and beneficial. Play with those as well - you can't hurt the software or "mess" anything up. Collaborate with others in it as much as you can. It's a flip from traditional correspondence but it's so much more efficient.
Solid Project Management System
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to move tasks between and among team members and steps, as well as to tag people within specific steps. For my team, a task would go to be, I would pass it to the next person, who would pass it to the next person, and then it would go back to me, sometimes with additional people pinged in between, and it was all very fluid.
What do you dislike about the product?
I know that for smaller teams, project management systems could just be added work. I also feel that the reminder system could be a little bit better (more aggressive?) but in general it has been a very helpful product for my team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my role, tasks are often being passed from one person to the next back to the first, etc., so Asana is a great way to keep track of due dates and to know when you are needed on a certain project, especially when you are balancing multiple projects at once.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For some teams, project management systems could just cause some extra work, so you need to figure out if it's right for your team. If you are balancing several projects at once and if projects are especially collaborative, then I think it's helpful.
Life changing
What do you like best about the product?
The customization is the absolute best! I also appreciate the ability to integrate with so many different things, like Instagantt.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is not set up to bring on multiple clients to your teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are now using Asana for a full team organization - tasks, resourcing, messaging, etc. We have realized the benefits of each person being able to organize their tasks in their own way.

Asana, a great way to keep teams organized
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of making new tasks in Asana, assigning due dates to them, making reminders, and how easy it is to delegate tasks to different team members. There is also a comment feature where you can tag other team members and have a conversation which is great for addressing questions related to projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have been pretty happy with Asana so far. I don't have any complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Asana to manage tasks assigned to my graphic designer, video designer, and social media designer to make sure all 3 of them are on the same page when they need to be and know what they need to collaborate on and when projects are due. Asana has saved me a lot of time and now I don't have to deal with email chains between multiple people.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana can be very useful for keeping projects organized and it will give you more free time
Asana Review
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is our form of a kan-ban. We use Asana for all projects that we currently have going on, as well as projects that are in the near future. We love the 'assigning' feature, so people know exactly what their tasks are and when they are due. Also, we like the fact that you can 'comment' and add notes on particular tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Asana can be a little confusing at times. I wish that my 'list' of tasks was broken down by projects. Right now, I see a full list of all of my tasks within all of my projects. Also, it is crucial to update your email notification preferences because you will be inundated with emails from Asana - including reminders, upcoming projects, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana as our project and task management platform. We've realized that this is not a platform that is used organization-wide, so sometimes there are gaps in communication if we are working with other teams outside of our own. I think if companies are going to use a task management resource, they should stick to just one.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Figure out what works best for your team and make sure that everyone is familiar with how best to use the platform.
Asana Is Better Than Trello
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to use this product to organize all of my tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
There could be more of a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to keep my self on tasks for what projects need to be completed and how they need to be completed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great product for getting organized.
Can be a great tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the simple clean features and how easy it is to view everyone on the teams tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I know there are a lot of features I do not use and could benefit from. More easy how-to guides that prompt you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While working on teams, it's easy to track what is due from them and what is coming up. Makes communicating as a team and as a remote employee easier.
Fulfills base requirements for project management
What do you like best about the product?
The fact this its a no-frills project management tool and has user friendly navigation. But I can make it fun by adding a theme!
Ability to comment on current tasks, feature of liking certain comments.
Ability to see all teams, and task pipeline in one scrollable feature

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the no-frills UI seems to basic. There is no way to implement a form like interface for adding individual tasks. For example, for every task added I need the task to describe 1. what 2. how and 3. caveats - compulsorily. Otherwise it dominoes into more comments asking for more/less info etc.
Inability for the task window to pop-out of the right oriented navigation window. Sometimes the comments are lengthy and contributed by multiple members and its inconvenient to keep scrolling the small right side window.
No gmail or outlook email integration available. Would like to have it as an extension so that we're able to connect to relevant emails or email from within Asana app after attaching the task readily without having to download it and attach.

Project Management by streamlining task flows.
Updating everyone on the team of current project pipelines

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very basic project management tool.
Asana is a team's one stop shop
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Asana is that you can have multiple tasks in one project, and assign each task to a different person or team. This enables the leader to delegate tasks, and lets everyone involved see everything in the project, but lets them only be notified and bothered by the tasks that directly involve them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of Asana is that because you can have so many tasks in a project, sometimes it's hard to find what you are looking for and you have to dig through folders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing projects in Asana enables you to collaborate with your coworkers on different teams and make sure everything is getting done and everyone's on the same page
Why Asana is a Lifesaver
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of the tasks is amazing - they can be broken down in any way imaginable, and can reference other tasks/emails/conversations with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish there were more options for client-facing interfaces.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team manages all projects and communications with Asana. It's been a HUGE timesaver and has allowed us to take on many more clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely have a good understanding of your workflow first, as you'll want it to be consistent across projects in Asana.
