that event/project managers can assign tasks directly to me, with deadlines and descriptions and i can complete, communicate, attach info, etc directly in the task

Asana is great if you are behind a screen its easy to move around, but if you are solely using your mobile or tablet its probably not the best option

What do you like best about the product?
Good for assignments to the team and tracking them. Easy to see the progress and deadline. Email reminder is very helpful. I liked the feature of heavy project oriented. Reasonable cost.
Very good for multi-tasks assignments. Eash to track delivery and results once you get used to this app. However, it takes time.

What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is not clear enough and it is relatively difficult for people to quick learn how to deal with it.
So it takes time for team member to get used to it and first 3 weeks, team members missed the deadline of response because of that.

Asana is a very robust tool with a beautiful user interface
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is very nice and although the product has so many features, it's still really easy to navigate and figure out how to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only minor thing I could think of that I dislike about Asana is the process for linking multiple accounts together. The process is simple but not super intuitive and I needed to actually seek out the help documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use asana for our marketing team. At the moment most of the team is made up of freelancers so they aren't in the office often. Asana really helps me keep everyone on track and have lots of visibility over what everyone is working on. Without Asana I don't think we'd be able to run things as smoothly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is an amazing project management tool. It's clear they've built the product with the user in mind. Everything is easy to do and takes very little time to get set up and running. I'd highly recommend Asana over its competitors.
Cool project management tool with appealing UI
What do you like best about the product?
The application is quite fast with a simple yet appealing UI. It is well designed for managing team workflows and task-management. You can keep track of your project and keep the engagement of the concerned developers on the project. I also liked the message system of this application. It helps a lot to manage a large number of active projects efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes find difficulty in managing the hierarchy of progress related to a task when their are many users involved. Though not a big issue. Search needs some improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently we are using it to manage those projects which involves many users which should be talking a lot while doing the work. Hence it makes a lot easier to collaborate with others so that anything is not missed and the product is delivered on the set deadline.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a cool project management tool this is a good try. It is very easy to start and you will keep going within a few minutes and set up your own project. Also in the free version you can add upto 15 members which is good to start. Hence there is no point in not giving it a try.

What do you like best about the product?
I loved Asana's design and concept. I found the mobile app in particular to be helpful--perhaps even more so than the desktop.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think my review is out of date, as my company has since moved on from using Asana, but at the time, it felt as though it was difficult for a small company to effectively project manage on it--it almost seemed like Asana was too big for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My business was really just project managing on Asana. Again, I think it was difficult for us to find our groove with it, and part of that was that we were a new business. I think that Asana can be stellar for those who figure out how to use it to their advantage--we just were not part of that group.

UI design is fantastic, which just makes using the system that much more enjoyable.

Missed details in projects. Much faster project completion.
Strong project organization tool for cross-country coordination
What do you like best about the product?
It's very simple and straightforward to use. Creating projects, assigning tasks, duplicating projects and tasks are all very easy to do. This allows for a very quick organization tool with no real learning barrier for coworkers.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have long lists of projects under each product header. I know we could archive them, but still need to access them from time to time. It would be very handy to be able to quickly sort from bottom up, so new projects are at the top.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We organization a ton of different projects across three different states around the country. Asana allows each person involved with a project to stay completely up to date. The conversation and mention tools are very useful for alerting progress or issues. It's a glorified checklist that now hosts tons of important information for us to stay organized.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Put all projects under a certain topic in there or not at all. It's best used when used to its maximum!

The satisfaction of crossing tasks off my list. Being able to manage team tasks.

Wish it was easier to disable email notifications.

Miscommunication of task delegation. Asana allows us to be on the same page.

I've tried using all the popular team collaboration tools and Asana is by far the best one.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more features and customization options available to premium subscribers. Right now there is enough reason to justify paying for their premium plans.

With Asana, my team and I have all the necessary tools to easily work together from around the world.

If you use Trello, give Asana a try because it offers the same features plus more.
