Helpful (only with buy-in)

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana makes it easy for multiple people to collaborate on projects with a clear to-do list function.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that, in my experience, the service is polarizing to people. Some coworkers love it while others a very against it. It makes it difficult to utilize as a large group if people are not excited about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving problems of delegation and accountability. Asana allows people to have their own to-do list but incorporate tasks from larges projects into their own daily plan. I have noticed benefits in getting larger projects completed.

Decluttered my inbox while improving project management

  • October 28, 2016

What do you like best about the product?
Asana eliminates the need for unnecessary emails. I appreciate how easy it is to communicate about specific tasks and projects without overwhelming my inbox. I loved that you could upload multiple files to a specific task without confusing versions, since the timeline is clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transition to Asana was very difficult for many of my team members who had never used a cloud-based platform; not to mention, those who are usually only on their phones found it tricky to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to better streamline communications in the office. Maintaining project timelines was much easier when the whole team understood what the hold-up was at any given moment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is definitely a useful tool for teams who want to declutter their inboxes and streamline communications among dispersed team members.

We absolutely love it!

What do you like best about the product?
Their interface, let's start there. It's gorgeous! Specially compared to Teamwork. I love the ease of use and collaborative aspect of it.

Creating projects and templates is super easy and we get our projects going with a click of a button.

My team loves it and my clients love it. The app is by far the best we've used for project management. In fact, it's the only one we've used as it's that simple. We've used Trello, Basecamp and Teamwork before and none come close to Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
One feature I would love to have is a bird's eye view of all projects at once. Not a deal breaker for us since we use Instagantt to have gantt charts so that gives us what we need but it would be cool to have it directly in Asana. That being said, the way these two integrate is seamless, so no real problem here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management. But we also use Asana to close deals. Once clients go through the discovery process with us as a marketing agency we get them in Asana, so they see our whole process even before we start. Clients love it and Asana shows them we have it together, that we have a process and we've done this before.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Asana is out of the ordinary. We've tried many project management systems out there and nothing compares. Not the mention their customer support. We are very efficient and clients love it!

Great Software

  • October 27, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that there are different ways to keep others on your team accountable. Whether it's notifications, or continual reminders, this can do it all.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little strange to navigate. All the tabs and subtabs can get confusing if you're used to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication is a big problem we are trying to solve. it definitely helps keep a ton of our less organized employees stay on track.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely say make sure there is someone on the team who knows the software pretty well. With all the possibilities including integration of other software, it can get pretty messy if your admin doesn't organize it well.

Asana Review

What do you like best about the product?
Awesome for small teams in terms of how many members it incorporates for free, how fast and functional it is, and managing workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Was not as visually appealing as past management apps used for similar purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed this for a smaller team and it worked perfectly during the time we needed it to manage workflows and team processes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your team is on the smaller end of the spectrum and you are looking to save a few dollars, while getting a great task-management app, this is an awesome resource.

Best task management tool so far

  • October 26, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface, so it's easy to create new projects and tasks and see what has to be done right now.
What do you dislike about the product?
No app you can use offline, so when you're on a plane or abroad you can't track progress or add new tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Asana I get the main tasks to solve first.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's more like a small and easy to use tool. If you have complex projects, I would recommend Jira. For smaller teams or personal project tracking I'd use Asana.

Good Product

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best:

Price it's free, and the paid version is $8.33 per month with a year option.
You can have unlimited team members
You have unlimited dashboards
Data exports and the admin controls
Easy to use
Customer service is average
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike:

It is the structure it does not operate well outside of basic task management
Doesn't look as though it would be anything for a big company it is more suitable for a small company
difficult to track progress of projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company is trying to look for ways to improve some our productivity problems. We spend most our time in meetings and digging through emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This product is not for use in a big company that has many departments but that does not mean that it's worth trying and that it could not be used in some way. It is effective and is easy to use and for the most part any tool that can help with productivity problems is worth trying out. It would recommend giving it a try at least in a departmental setting to see how effective it maybe for your organization as every company is different.

Great task manager tool for small teams

What do you like best about the product?
Appealing user interface, easy to navigate and scale (collapsible windows are key) and intuitive integration with Google business mail makes it easy to track so you won't miss a task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really a project management software. Export capability should be improved. New logo doesn't say as much as the old one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A central platform for task managing between developers and designers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a powerful task management system. If you're looking for a complete project management software, you'll need to look elsewhere.

Asana is a lightweight tool with a confusing UI

  • October 25, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Asana has a mobile app, and the list view is useful. The filters work adequately. I don't use the calendar view.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the user interface to be confusing. Adding multiple tags to a task, for instance, seems to require you to begin by editing the first tag. I don't like the psychedelic color scheme. Trello offers similar features, but is easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Asana to track engineering work within a team in a medium-sized technology company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider Trello!
