    Verified User in Libraries

Huge potential

What do you like best about the product?
I work in a multi-library system and am a new Asana user, so I have not mastered the platform by any means. However, the more I use it the more things I think about that could be put in Asana to help us track our goals and map them to our strategic plan rather than just seeing how we are doing at our annual retreat.

The training videos are very helpful, making it easier to use the features. It was easy to more my tasks from Google tasks into Asana. I keep it running all day and it helps keep my on track. I love the ability to put in estimated time for tasks, so I can pick a quick task if I am between meetings.

Because of the huge potential for being able to keep track of the big picture and to see who is working on what, I really recommend Asana.
What do you dislike about the product?
Training videos (at least so far) are geared to production, not a non-profit like a library. There is a pretty steep learning curve. You can get the basics quickly, but learning to really use all the features to maximum advantage is a bit difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps our Marketing team see what project is being worked on and who is working on it. It is a HUGE help to our Facilities team, since there are different requirements depending on the size of the job. Through Asana they were able to build templates with the requirements for each type of job (paperwork, approvals, etc.) so no step will get forgotten on the jobs moving forward. I am working to build a portfolio for our strategic plan so we can see how we are doing for the year and the run of the plan.

I would prefer if there were additional cosmetic options.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Great experience with Asana!

  • April 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the way Asana helps me keep my tasks organized. I appreciate that it integrates easily with other apps that I use for work. It's easy to move tasks around or arrange on different "boards."
What do you dislike about the product?
It hasn't helped me reduce some of the other apps I use. It doesn't work as well for me when I am working with other people who aren't on Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana is helping me keep track of resources that I need to reference frequently. Asana provides a great space to keep ongoing projects organized.

Asana has been helpful over 15 years of agency work, and has grown as we have

  • April 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has been helpful for our agency from day 1, scaling a remote-first global team and being a key part of our tech stack for managing our services projects, teams, and onboarding both new hire and clients. The company has adapted over time to reflect the changing needs in a changing world. After reviewing other similar and newer plant forms, we continue to stay with asana as they’ve met our needs well over the years.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a little extra time for some clients who aren’t familiar with using it, but we have set workflows and onboarding for clients, so it’s a matter of adjusting as the usability is straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing the amount of tools and communication overhead required across teams and individual team members, while making onboarding more efficient for new hires and clients.

Works well for non-profits on a small budget

  • April 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Allows collaboration of many, focus on specific things, and continual development!
What do you dislike about the product?
Asana sometimes takes away or changes features that are part of a business' workflow, and there can be an adjustment to how things are done (or acceptance they can no longer be done that way). Because the way Asana can be used is SO flexible, it does take someone within a team who can push the use of Asana forward, or at least initially set it up so others can follow suit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Focussing on single things that fit into bigger pictures so they get done and aren't lost in a massive thread somewhere. Templates for repeated workflows either for single-user projects, or where collaboration/input is needed from others.

Easy to use, makes your life easier when used correctly

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very nice, Gantt charts are very helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
The dependencies are easy to create but the logic is off sometimes - it should be automatically moved and changed according to the dependency and not be manual to update and change cause it affects the timeline
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tasks ownership - timelines - saving everything about the project in one place - coordination between multiple offices

A must-have tool for organized and transparent teamwork

  • April 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Asana has completely transformed the way our team manages projects. Its intuitive interface makes it easy to organize tasks, track progress, and collaborate in real time — even across departments. We especially love the customizable workflows, timeline view, and how it integrates with Slack and Google Workspace. It keeps everyone aligned and focused without micromanagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, the flexibility of task organization can lead to clutter if team members aren't disciplined in their use of tags and sections. It also takes a bit of onboarding time for new users unfamiliar with project management tools. But once the team adapts, these issues fade away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana helps us centralize our work processes and avoid miscommunication between departments. Thanks to its intuitive task and project management features, we’ve significantly reduced missed deadlines and duplicated efforts. It's especially helpful for remote teams — everyone stays aligned, responsibilities are clear, and progress is easy to track in real-time. This directly improves our team efficiency and project delivery speed.
