The clean user interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't organize your tasks properly, sometimes it is easy to loose or don't see pending tasks.
The hability for subtasks, although very powerful, can be confusing if the subtaks go too deep.
The editors are not "wisig".

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Although we are using the free version, Asana has helped us a lot on:
1) Communication between teams.
2) Transparency on delegation and responsibility.
3) Due dates assignment (or reassignment).

Recommendations to others considering the product:
1) Decide beforehand the overall structure of project, subprojects, tasks and teams.
2) Don't go too deep using subtasking. Two levels is good, three levels max. No more!
3) The learning curve is short, but if you are migrating from another tool (as was our case, migrating from trello), Asana can be difficult to switch. In our case, people who use trello is much more visual, using "cards" and Asana is more of a list view.

Great for Tasks and Projects
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is that it gives me a clear picture of what my team is working on and vice versa. They can see what I am working towards and my deadlines. I also love that I can easily assigned and comment on tasks for my team and my manager, in case they need any assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that every time I log in I have to select to view only my unfinished tasks and projects. It tends to show my entire history and I just think it's unecessary to show.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easier to delegate tasks and create deadlines for different teams in our company.
The new platform to organize your projects and tasks
What do you like best about the product?
It is an excellent tool that will allow you to organize your work, allows you to have work teams, with which you can share documents, can have conversations, have a list of tasks and see the process of them in a very simple way, its interface is very attractive and very easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a free version that is very limited, and another thing that I do not like is that it can not prioritize tasks and, since it is an online software, sometimes the Internet connection can affect the speed with which it works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can organize my team very easily, avoiding meetings, we can be more productive when we do the tasks or activities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Excellent software for collaboration in the team, it is ideal for people who are far away and do not have time to be in an office.
I'm slowly learning the benefits to using asana
What do you like best about the product?
I started using asana about five months ago when I joined a new team. Prior to asana I was using monday. asana is great in that it gives the entire team visibility on what everyone is working on at one time. After taking some time to learn it, I find it fairly straightforward to use. I love the board view most, and I don't tend to stray from that.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I really dislike about asana. I tend to stick to the board view as my team doesn't always have strict deadlines, so the calendar view is a bit pointless for us. I also get a little overwhelmed when I view my own tasks, hence the reason I prefer the board. What can be annoying is that if I get assigned a task by another team it shows up on their board but they don't tag it or add it to mine so I can only see it in the tasks. I often miss these as I don't check boards across the company. I do however think this is something we need to fix internally and not a shortcoming on asana's side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana gives the entire company visibility on what all teams are working on. I can easily view another team's board to understand what they are doing and where my given priorities lie for them. It allows me to better plan my own work and give realistic timeframes to materials my team is creating.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think you should at least give it a try. It is overwhelming to begin with, but if you take it one step at a time and learn how to use it properly you'll see the benefits.

What do you dislike about the product?
- You can't completely delete a Workspace, you can only leave it, even if you're the only member inside that workspace.
- File management could be better to stay organized.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Asana to manage our projects and todo lists. This helps us stay accountable to each other as the todo lists are reviewed in our weekly management meetings. We also use it to track projects, delegate tasks, add dependencies, and more. It's a great overall system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're trying to run your business as lean as possible, Asana is an excellent project management tool. I've tried Trello, Workflowy, and a vast assortment of other tools, but nothing has worked for me quite like Asana has. I would recommend it as a staple solution in your software toolbox.
Quick Free PM Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can track your agile project on a board and see your list of tasks and what has been done and what is still outstanding
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that if you have more than a few tags on a task that you can not see them from the main screen
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Salesforce implementations. It helps track my tasks and also lets the client see where we stand. I definitely noticed that visually it makes my team want to work harder to get tasks out of their queue and see their progress
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Keep doing what you're doing. The more user friendly it is the most successful it will become
How is the basic version of this product free??
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is the perfect software tool for collaboration and product management. It is elegant, functional, easy to pick up, and really makes collaboration within a team much, much easier. It's also a testament to the product quality that looking through the feature questions for this review I learned about like, a dozen other capabilities I hadn't even known about before. Wow!
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that subtask functionalities were a little more robust, but that's a 'would be nice to have' problem more than anything.+
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asana has completely changed – or at least reenergized – how I approach project management, both for myself and with my team/
Recommendations to others considering the product:
GO FOR IT.
Smooth look, great features.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the task management system. It's super easy to use and organize goals into subtasks, move them around and assign them. It's great for keeping track of progress, accountability and planning. I LOVE the improvements to the look and feel over the past few years.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could use a better file management system. We use other apps for that, but we could use Asana too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It improves efficiency, communication and productivity on teams. (I first used it as a team member in programming, now I use it as an administrator for freelancing.) It also helps me keep track with clients as a freelancer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We used Asana and Google Drive my first time with it, and I implement that combo in my own work as an admin now.
Lacks Features, Very Confusing, & Time Consuming
What do you like best about the product?
Asana is a project management cloud tool that projects managers can use to keep track of their tasks, projects, and assignments. We had a few applications to choose from, such as, Basecamp, Smart Sheets, etc.; however, our organization felt that moving from Basecamp to Asana would be more beneficial. If you have used Basecamp, Asana is fairly similar and just what I like to call an "upgraded" version of what Basecamp could be.
What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks features that many well built programs such as Smarts Sheets offers. I also felt it was not user friendly as you have to literally confirm 3 times to delete a task. There also isn't a progress bar feature other than something such as a drop down that you can customize to add to each task (example: waiting, in progress, on hold, etc.). A toolbar would also be a nice addition, but there is not one available. There are many features that are also hidden and you have to customize which should be very easy to find such as on Smart Sheets. Lastly, creating a template is a pain. Still trying to find where we can build a template we can use rather than recreating the entire project from scratch. Again, lacks flow. I would take a pass if you are very specific when it comes to Project Management applications. If you are looking for something less confusing and more features, I would not recommend this tool. It is good for a beginner Project Manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently using asana for application deployment, office relocation, and windows 10 deployment
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend to look into an application called SmartSheets
use the free version as a high-level project management tool - great so far
What do you like best about the product?
I like the task view. I use it as a project view and write my task notes in the description box. It's essentially a high-level checklist of all my projects. Then I can click in to each one to see the details I've written in each.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an option for the project view to look like the task view. I essentially use the task view as my project view because I don't need to get very granular and set a list of tasks. I just want an at-a-glance view of my project pipeline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to track my individual projects. I don't use it to collaborate on a team.
