Streamlined Asset Management, But Reporting Needs Improvement

  • December 22, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find AssetSonar easy to use, with lots of ways to look up information and it's easy to input data. It helps deconflict scheduled assets, tells me where it's going, when an item is in maintenance, and tracks usage data. I also like that it helps in tracking and keeping inventory of consumables and allows me to charge consumables to appropriate users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pulling reports is uncomfortable because you have to pull all of the items ever used in AssetSonar and then add them to an Excel sheet and filter. It takes long to pull reports because it's pulling data that I no longer need. It doesn't allow me to filter items by date or department.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use AssetSonar for tracking and sorting assets, which helps in deconflicting scheduled assets, knowing where they're going, tracking usage data, and keeping inventory of consumables. It allows charging consumables to users and eases managing equipment for teaching classes.

Essential Tool for Streamlined Asset Management

  • December 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find AssetSonar extremely valuable for keeping track of all our machines and ensuring none go missing. I particularly like the warranty information feature, which helps us stay on top of replacements so that nobody misses out. I also appreciate the ability to record non-desktop/laptop devices, like mobile phones, which is a unique aspect I find helpful. The initial setup was extremely easy, thanks to the great support. Overall, it's been rather good, and I haven't encountered areas that don't work well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like it's been rather good, I've not run into areas that don't work as well. If I had to improve anything, I would say the mobile area could do with a little more refinement and possibly a dedicated area for SIM cards themselves or phone numbers, as now people have devices without a SIM card too but a phone number.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AssetSonar solves our problem of missing machines and helps track all assets. It provides warranty information, so we know when replacements are due, keeping our devices up-to-date. It also allows us to manage non-desktop devices like mobile phones effectively.

What do you like best about the product?
I most like the simplicity of finding details of an asset. I can search by user or machine name and quickly find what I'm looking for. The EZO team has been great in helping us set up AssetSonar, leading us down the right path.
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup is complicated. I feel we have a great deployment at the moment and we couldn't have done it without our EZO team to help us. They have been great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use AssetSonar to track our firm's computer assets. It replaces our spreadsheets for better tracking of device locations and checkouts, making it easy to find asset details by user or machine name quickly.

Intuitive Interface and Effortless Daily Management

  • November 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
After spending a few months using AssetSonar, I can confidently say it’s one of the most well-rounded IT asset management platforms I’ve worked with. What stood out to me right away was how clean and intuitive the interface is. Setting it up took some effort — mainly when configuring integrations and custom fields — but once everything was in place, day-to-day use became extremely efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
e reporting tools are good, but some deeper customization options would be helpful. Being able to create fully tailored dashboards or add more granular filters would make data analysis faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an IT Systems Administrator, maintaining visibility and control over company assets has been one of my greatest challenges, particularly as our organization grew and various departments started managing equipment on their own. Prior to adopting AssetSonar, we depended largely on spreadsheets and manual tracking methods. This approach often resulted in duplicate records, lost devices, and incorrect license counts.
