Efficient communication tool
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom's workplace application offers exceptional video and audio quality, making remote communication seamless. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, with a variety of features like screen sharing, breakout rooms, and virtual backgrounds. These tools are especially useful in facilitating collaboration, whether in a team meeting or a large webinar. The integration with other workplace tools, such as calendars and file-sharing apps, is also seamless, enhancing productivity and ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where Zoom could improve is its chat functionality. While it serves the purpose, it feels less robust compared to other messaging apps. Additionally, the application can sometimes be resource-intensive, causing slower performance on older devices or less powerful systems. There are also occasional issues with connectivity, particularly in high-traffic meetings, which can disrupt the flow of communication.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to quickly set up meetings, share screens, and work together in virtual rooms helps streamline workflows and maintain productivity, This flexibility is invaluable, especially in coordinating with teams like the UC, ODL, and VDI teams, where smooth communication is essential for addressing issues and achieving goals.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the clendar links and ease of connections.
What do you dislike about the product?
As one of the system admin, I am not fond of paying for each of our staff. I know a paid service will always be better than a "free", but when we have a large group the annual cost gets to be quite a bit. It would be good if the cost per license decreased as the size of the account increased. Although, there is quality and innovation for the non-free conference room systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Like many we recently changed the way we do much of our business. With so much more of our staff growth coming from other areas it is great to have gas connections.
Makes it easy to schedule and join meetings
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom Workplace has made it easier for me to schedule and join meetings. Before would schedule them via my online Zoom account and, then, have to copy the meeting info into an Outlook calendar invite. Now I can do all that by just opening the app. Plus, it's easy to get an overview of what's coming up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The first time you open your Zoom app for the day, it takes a few minutes for the Zoom Workplace to load. (At least on my computer, it does). I've been late to log into a couple of meetings as a result.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom Workplace streamlines the scheduling and sharing of meetings. Plus, now that I look at the list of possible ways to use it, I'm going to have to explore a little more. There are a few things there (collaborative whiteboard, screen capture, virtual classroom) that could be of great benfit.
Simple and reliable way to communicate with a remote team
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom has been simple to use and the go-to platform for communicating with my team. Unlike other platforms, being able to easily navigate my speaker and microphone while also having a clear picture has been something I don't take for granted anymore.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support can be hard to navigate. I will be passed from team member to team member with no resolution.

To launch a call there a lot of popups and the account logins get crossed often

Zoom has had a stable product for virtual calls for our revenue team and for internal meetings

What do you like best about the product?
For the most part Zoom is very reliable and I can easily met with colleagues since we're distributed across the globe. I love the slack integration which means we can easily start new meetings from slack when it makes sense to move the conversation to a meeting. Zoom is easier to use than Slack Huddles to be completely honest.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Zoom has connectivity issues and it's not related to local internet connection. And at times the app can hog RAM/processing resources when not even in use. When I finally close the app instead of letting the app (not a meeting) run in the background, the RAM frees up and my computer works fine again.

Working with colleagues in a distributed workplace is easier with Zoom

The icons are bit hard to see on the top panel.

No major concerns to share here. Would be nice to get statuses similiar to MS Teams.
