Convenient and Reliable
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom has been very helpful to us in coordinating meetings, both during the pandemic and post-pandemic for team members who don't reside near each other. It's accessible across multiple platforms and is fairly intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The decreased limits for non-Pro accounts are annoying, as simple 1:1 meetings are now severely limited in time. It was frustrating to have the service downgraded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom does a great job at making sure we can meet and communicate effectively regardless of location or contagion level. Folks who are sick, but feel fine, can still engage and contribute.
The fast and professional source for quality video conferences
What do you like best about the product?
The audio quality is quite good, which enables recordings of Zoom interviews to be auto-transcribed with few errors. The screen-sharing option is great s well. Compared to SKYPE and Google Meet, Zoom offers better options at a reasonable price.
What do you dislike about the product?
If the wifi connection is not strong enough the video and audio glitches, but I don't think that's any different from what happens with other providers. Also, I don't think conversations are recorded that are conducted on a cell phone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom makes clear video conversations simple and efficient. This has been essential during the COVID epidemic but it will also reduce the need to travel for meetings in the future.
Zoom saved our choir
What do you like best about the product?
The Zoom Platform allowed our youth choir to continue to rehearse during the height of the pandemic. We used it for fundraisers successfully as well. It continues to allow our staff to participate in our weekly staff meeting, as well as our board of trustees members to attend all our meetings. We were able to bring on two excellent new board members who live outside of our state onto our board because they could participate via Zoom. Despite the fact that we have returned to in-person rehearsals, we continue to offer our music theory program virtually via Zoom.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we have connection issues with Zoom, due to bandwidth considerations. Sometimes, we have issues gaining access to a meeting or there is confusion about the correct link. However, these are generally easy issues to address.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is allowing for all our staff and board members to access and participate in critical meetings. It is also providing a virtual platform for programming (music theory) that allows our choristers to have access to this learning opportunity without the hurdle of transportation.
Better Than Most Conferencing Solutions
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to share links, edit video and audio settings, record sessions and chat.
I also like the advanced audio controls for my podcasting efforts and other shareable situations.
I also like the advanced audio controls for my podcasting efforts and other shareable situations.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the connection lags, it takes a while for audio and video to catch up and sync, often times never fully syncing up at the end. This can be very frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't really have any additional needs that zoom isn't handling so far. There are new features I haven't even tried like the whiteboard feature that I have seen advertised.
Its easy to use, however, it takes time to setup the audio and video
What do you like best about the product?
The app or solution is very popular, it has filters and virtual backs, it can be very costumizable. there is no time to be aware of, so that helps you take the time is needed for every meeting
What do you dislike about the product?
The time seting up the audio and video, you always know that you have to wait, and another thing is to verify every costumer of yours, I have been in meetings that some participants are spam
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having meetings no matter where I am, knowing the the software is very popular almost no one have a doubt in mind how to use it, and it is reliable, meaning that I can have every meeting on time
Useful tools! More equipped than other platforms
What do you like best about the product?
You can use breakout rooms, you can doodle as well! Reactions are useful during meetings with a lot of people or during presentations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some audio problems sometimes, like echo
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to share links across platforms: not only Google users for example. Also, you can schedule ahead!
Great alternative to a SKYPE, for a smaller company
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use. The user can sign in and find the information or services they need, very quickly. A subscription is not required to use the software for the participants.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no way to remind you of meetings. With Teams it linked to our outlook and allowed us to set reminders when meetings were about to begin or within a certain amount of time. I haven't been able to find that capability with ZOOM and gmail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
"Face to Face" meetings either within the company or with vendors and customers. It is much more personable to visually see someone while speaking to them. We have also used the service to screen share while training employees in the work-from-home setting.
Zoom gets the job done!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to collaborate with team members- no matter where they are working. We have multiple locations/sites and the scheduling of our meetings has been easier because of this.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lately, it has been a bit laggy- especially with video. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and can't quite figure out why. Nonetheless, it still works most of the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Difficulties scheduling meetings due to schedule restrictions has been alleviated due to being able to schedule despite people being at different places. This has been a big help.
Zoom is all good
What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Zoom is that most as those who are getting used to working at home, Zoom is adding more features such as a chat feature after the meeting ends, whiteboard feature, and of course, you can share your screen and switch over host duties if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much that I don't like about Zoom. They are continuing to add more and more features, so at this time, there isn't much that I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is helping me for clients who can not make it to the office for in-person appointments, they don't have to cancel their appointments, instead we can still meet on Zoom and still have a productive meeting!
A lifesaver in pandemic times, but worth it afterwards?
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Zoom is extremely user-friendly. It makes videoconferencing a breeze, and almost never runs into snags (I wish I could say the same for the things I had free access to through work!) The best part about Zoom is the way that it encourages people to work together, and how the technological interface isn't really a major impediment -- you easily can get around in the system even if your organization is full of neophytes or luddites. There are inclusive elements and it's also great to be able to see people express themselves through filters and backgrounds.
What do you dislike about the product?
The two issues I ran into were 1: my main work machine was just not powerful enough to run the 40-person rooms all on one screen! And 2: now that the pandemic restrictions are lifted, $200 is just a really heavy burden on my pocketbook. The first issue was easily resolved by upgrading computers, though, so in the end the system is very efficient!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom helped my students meet and communicate extremely effectively! It helped arrange one-on-ones and the breakout rooms also allowed for community development we would have otherwise missed. There's a lot of interconnectivity issues that we need to address in this current work environment with hybrid learning, and Zoom seems to be working on addressing these problems one online meeting at a time. It's helpful to have software that is at once easy to use but also very powerful, allowing a lot of functionality without such a high barrier of entry as some other programs. It's also good to have a free version that is accessible for average users, and in the future I hope to switch to this version, because for more casual needs the free version is more than satisfactory!
