High quality video and easy to use

  • August 19, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We have been very pleased with the quality of the video and audio during meetings. It is easy to set up and share and has been very reliable. I also appreciate that the mobile apps work great as well - both as a host and a participant.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point, the only thing I have disliked is there was a learning curve to using the system well. It did take time to figure out how to most effectively use Zoom, but once I took the time to figure it out, I have been very pleased.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Zoom helped us with was communicating effectively in a virtual environment. However, now that we understand the power of Zoom, we can quickly connect with team members around the world.

Zoom is easy to use and offers superior quality for basic web services.

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite aspect of Zoom is the screen-sharing feature. As an educator, I greatly benefit from the adaptability of this feature: it seamlessly enables me to control the screens I wish to share with my viewers. The design of this feature-- specifically the "share screen" button, as well as the pop-up window that thereafter displays multiple screen-sharing options-- appears thoughtfully designed with my interface in mind.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe there is considerable room for growth regarding the application's whiteboard function. In addition to frequently slowing my computer functioning down, I tend to "lose" the whiteboard landing page when I present my full screen with multiple tabs open on my computer. In addition, I think the whiteboard feature would benefit from efforts toward increasing its functionality + accessibility. To be specific, the typing and drawing tools on Whiteboard do not personally "feel" intuitive to me as I use them. In all, I observe that Whiteboard currently mimics AUX principles of Microsoft OneNote. I reckon by contrast, however, that it'd be better served to parallel that of Microsoft Powerpoint: a widely used, navigable application that facilitates design/formatting options, and visibly queues "slides" to archive a user's generative content in real-time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been a subscriber to Zoom since 2020. Over the past two years, I have witnessed Zoom improve the reliability of its streaming service. I rarely encounter issues connecting with other users, which I especially appreciate in light of my profession.

A business essential

  • August 19, 2022

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is incredibly easy to use and has a great workflow, you make an appointment or boot it up to access one already in your calendar and it's straight into where you want to go. As host it's incredibly useful to organise breakout rooms, recordings, and control the mics and cameras of participants if you're in the middle of an event, I've used Zoom for dozens of webinars and presentations through the pandemic, and will continue to do so now that I live and work far from the office.
What do you dislike about the product?
The functionality around not being able to notify a Zoom host that you're waiting in the waiting room of their other meeting whilst they have one in progress elsewhere can lead to you having to use alternate forms of communication to remind them they're running over. It would be nice if they received popups or notifications on the dashboard to say people are waiting to get into the meeting the host is supposed to be in!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's highly beneficial for team networking, and really the first and only main problem is keeping us connected whilst we work remotely. I do not like monitoring software, and even something like Slack does this, despite not being exactly designed for it, but with Zoom, because of the ease of workflow you feel like you're only a few clicks away from your colleagues and an essential decision.

Great product overall

  • August 19, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom allowed me to meet both business and personal needs for virtual gatherings. It is mostly user friendly and most people can learn to use zoom without too much fuss.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are always some features that could be improved. There are times when being able to share a split screen (half zoom and half another application) would be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security issues have been a to concern for the last year. Zoom continues to make improvements in this area. Due to the nature of my work, security is always vital.

Better than most video conferencing plafforms

  • August 19, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It never glitches, video quality is decent, I love that you can adjust for light, easy to share screen, and very easy to put people into breakout rooms
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of professionals are discouraged to use the Zoom app because of alleged security breaches, if you send a file participants have to download it to their device and can't just view it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a training facilitator and when the pandemic started, I had to move my training to the digital world, and I still deliver my sessions on Zoom mostly

My Zoom Meetings Experience

  • August 19, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very friendly and easy to use. I have installed it on my mother's phone for our monthly family meetings before and taught her how to use it. She quickly learned it quickly and was able to use it without any problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cons

The only issue I want to see updated is the room feature. I want to access our chat room, files and documents even after meeting but unfortunately tahts not possible till now once this issue is fixed then there won't be any limitations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reasons for choosing Zoom Meetings

It's widely used with my clients in Africa.

Reasons for switching to Zoom Meetings

I wasn't getting a good experience with the interface and the product itself. I was getting the same information as the other reviewers but the interface was not easy to use.

Better than other platforms

  • August 19, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has always run more smoothly than other videoconferencing platforms I have used. Audio is clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
One minor grudge -- pop-up notices on the screen that hamper or block what I am trying to get to. Annoying when I am in a hurry to join a meeting quickly and it slows me down. (And I never read the pop-ups because they never appear at a convenient time, so it's kind of a pointless nuisance.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is the primary way I meet with students, so it is a key tool for me. (and it is also nicer than the telephone for talking with friends.)

Zoom is great for remote working!

  • August 19, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That it allows me to work remote. Email is great but sometimes you need a face to face meeting to explain things in more detail, and/or to get a better read of someone's opinion and support on a matter. Being able to share a screen, especially with spreadsheets, yeah, I'm a beancounter, while being able to verbally explain the results makes it easier for others to understand. I find that people don't read a lot of detail in emails so this is a great tool in my profession.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the setup screen was easier to access when you are on a Zoom call and that the virtual backgrounds worked better. (Often times you can see your hair vibrating when using them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm not sure what problems Zoom is trying to solve. I haven't brought any complaints to Zoom personally.

Easy to use, universally understood by users.

  • August 19, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use. The most difficult part is getting the app installed. After that, my clients just have to click on the link to get started. Zoom can integrate with a bunch of different programs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Closed Captioning needs to be improved. Sometimes it's confusing when I'm sharing my screen to be able to see my clients and monitor their understanding at what is being taught.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom solves the problem of connecting virtually from wherever you are. I have clients all over the united states that I can reach via Zoom. It also allows me to share what I need to show my clients easier. (I love using visuals)

Recording is easy. I can record my podcasts, webinars, videos, and course content with Zoom and download it to work with later.

Zoom is easy to set up and use on a variety of computing platforms

  • August 19, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that it is available on many computing platforms and has feature parity between them. It is also easy to set up on each platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like it to have auto-caption features built into the software like Microsoft Teams. I would also appreciate an upgrade in video quality (but I realize that depends on a user's computing platform).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is providing a way to share programming and presentations all over the country for the organization I am working for. Zoom has given us the ability to reach individuals who can't attend our programs in person.
