The only video conferencing service I use
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is the only video conferencing service I use because everyone I deal with uses it too. Live Painting Demos, Art Lessons, Podcast recording, Meetings, or chatting with family or friends I do it all with Zoom.
What do you dislike about the product?
It, understandably, slows down my wifi connectivity but because upgrading my wifi is not an option at the moment. I try to not use the app at peak hours and it seems to help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to record audio and video formats of my art demos & lessons and even podcast recordings. Making it easier to upload online and reach a larger audience,
Zoom is the best online video communication platform I've used.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Zoom has always been its ease of use. Everything just works like it's supposed to! And if someone has a poor connection the audio is usually still functional even if the video is not. I think what enabled Zoom to beat out all of the pre-existing competitors was how rock-solid its audio connections usually are.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about using Zoom is the mobile app isn't nearly as easy to use as the PC version. New users on the mobile app struggle to find things like the unmute button much more than when they first use the software on PC. It's also still got a very technical and professional feel to it which can be off-putting to casual or non-professional users. I come from an IT background so everything makes perfect sense to me, but I notice issues when trying to use it with non-technical folks like my parents. They seem to have an easier time using Skype and Duo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom solves the problem of needing an easy-to-use, reliable web conferencing platform. It has all the features a small business or individual could need for this function. It is feature complete. I frequently use the screen sharing feature, file sharing, and chat function - the raise hand feature is fantastic on my coaching calls. I've used Zoom to record live presentations of online seminars that we then turned into products. I've used the recordings of calls to create YouTube content and advertisements.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to set up, I am not very technical and I was able to get it going very quickly. I also like that the video quality is really good. A lot of the competitors had a much steeper learning curve.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you can stream to multiple platforms at the same time. Being able to stream to multiple platforms would allow me to reach a lot more potential clients for my business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very easy for me to host my coaching calls on Zoom and bring all of my clients from all over the world together. Everyone is very familiar with Zoom so no one ever has complained that they are using Zoom.
Convenient way to do business when schedules are crazy
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom helps my non-for-profit volunteers get together without the hassle of finding a meeting space. People can have our meetings from wherever they are while Zoom provides a clear picture and easy to navigate controls.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful aspect of Zoom is the lack of a master control that can help the host mute AND UNMUTE participants. Obviously this would need to be done with the participants permission, but surely something can be done at the beginning of the meeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is helping my volunteers meet without taking into account driving time. When a person is unable to make it in person, they are encouraged to join us via zoom. It helps keep our volunteers involved.
Business is Booming with Zoom
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom connections are great, speed is very good and meetings run without technical problems. People and my clients are now very comfortable and proficient with Zoom. Controls are relatively simple, especially for those under 70 (Smile) It helps a lot here in Southern California being able to meet without being stuck in traffic.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main dislike is how Zoom functions with MS Powerpoint in the dual monitor mode. Dual monitor selection with Zoom does not sync well with the Powerpoint program in dual monitor mode. There are some work arounds but a little clunky. I turn off the dual monitor mode in Zoom, ideally would like more control over what is viewed on 2nd monitor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to work with clients outside of my 50 mile radius. I can meet with 5 to 7 people in day where that would be close to impossible by driving to see clients within the L.A. market
Empowering our Advocacy Work through Video Conferencing with Zoom
What do you like best about the product?
Our team really enjoys being able to easily and clearly connect all over the globe, especially through the pandemic. We like the ability to record and share when others are unable to attend.
What do you dislike about the product?
What we don't like are some of the restrictions or when folks have video or audio issues. We also need assistance because we are a nonprofit and could use additional support. Wish we had the ability to keep the chat conversations because links are often shared.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We appreciate the upgrades but still struggle with features being available when we need to join a call on our mobile phone. There also seem to be some issues when we need to reschedule a meeting.
Essential to continued Business Operations
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom provides a user-friendly interface for our team and our clients alike. It allows us a viable option for those clients that prefer Zoom as their meeting platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
We enjoy the features of Zoom, but a more convenient way to see those in the waiting room, and subsequently admitting them, would be immensely helpful.

Allows us to connect with clients outside of an in=person meeting format.

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is the best product out there. I love the ease of use - for myself and my meeting participants. It's incredibly easy to use and intuitive. For recording quality - I find Zoom is the best as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that there is no notification sound when someone enters the waiting room. It would be super helpful to have that feature! And I would like to be able to remove users names from the screen when I record it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in the entertainment industry and occasionally need to record meetings or interviews for internal purposes. I love that zoom mix connecting easy and when I do need to record some thing the recordings are always exactly the way that I need them to be an easy to find in my computer which is also a huge help.
My virtual classroom on Zoom
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to give remote control to my students allows me to create interactive learning opportunities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to use the whiteboard while sharing my screen so students can work through problems without switching back and forth. Also, the annotate option sucks! When you write on a doc using this function, the writing should stay in place, not move with the screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom allows me to meet with students all over the world. I have tutored kids from Las Vegas to Germany, all from my home in Atlanta.
Zoom saved the day allowing us to operate with meetings
What do you like best about the product?
Price is affordable. Helps our company's board to still meet and be productive. Program is easy to use and we have no problems using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are at the mercy of the wifi network where we are at. If wifi signal is bad, you may need to check and see how Zoom will work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is allowing our company to still meet regularly. We are able to host meetings in person and via Zoom. The Zoom option comes in very handy for those who are away and those who don't want to meet in person.
