Zoom is the new Skype and Join.me
What do you like best about the product?
As we all know, COVID created an environment in which we needed to connect via video and screen shares to do business (and even talk to Mom)... Zoom stepped up to the plate with a platform that didn't require a download on the part of the recipient, could be lean and fast, and also share chats as well as attachments (like images and PDFs) and basically be "dummy proof".
What do you dislike about the product?
Because of the breakneck speed with which Zoom had to develop and evolve through COVID, the User interface is perhaps less than the idealized UI of a software tool whose purpose is simple, multimedia connection across the globe.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a web designer and digital marketer and have been working with clients around the world for over a decade, so I've always relied on video and screen share technology to interact with my clients, but it was usually Skype, Join.me, etc.... and those platforms required that both parties have the software installed... Zoom doesn't require a download for the recipient (it's browser-based), which reduced the friction and the barrier to entry... but also, because of COVID, everyone needed to connect and jump on a video conferencing platform... so Zoom was the obvious choice.

What do you like best about the product?
I can control who comes on my Zoom and making someone else the host. Schedule a meeting and it will add to my calendar And how I can copy link and send it to everyone
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's difficult for people to turn video and audio on. They have to keep getting off and get back on. It shows that a person is on twice. Zoom acts funny sometimes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to communicate with my organization and family without seeing them. These times are very difficult so it helps me to stay in communication with everyone
Perfect platform for telehealth nutrition services
What do you like best about the product?
Most people and clients are familiar with the platform, so I don't have to spend time explaining to clients how to get connected to appointments.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems that it takes a while for participants to connect to audio at times. I'm not sure if this is because of their wifi connection, but clients occasionally do have difficulty getting audio to connect seamlessly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom integrates with my electronic health record and automatically generates new appointment links when appointments are scheduled within my EHR - this saves valuable time!
Zoom is easy to manage as account owner and easy for my clients who may have never Zoomed to learn.
What do you like best about the product?
Best features for me are: Screen Sharing to review quotes with clients and ability to use different attendee views
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it confusing that the pop-up to start a scheduled session occurs even if I have manually started that session. It makes me unsure about whether I have started the correct session. I would also like more control over the video to take care of the shininess on my face. I've done all the light adjusting I can do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Initially solving the COVID difficulties of meeting live. Now saving me a lot of time driving to physical appointments which allows me to do more business with less stress.
Zoom is a great tool for my business.
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it's easy to use and accessible to everyone. There are regular updates that help to improve the program. Zoom allows me to offer a wide variety of classes and I'm able to reach beyond my time zone.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is very little I dislike about zoom to be honest. It's done exactly what I need it to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is constantly upgrading and fixing glitches. When there was an issue with the program, I remember it was quickly resolved with an upgrade, I didn't even have to reach out for support.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to see our colleagues during the meeting as if it were live
What do you dislike about the product?
The time allowed in the beginning. This was temporarily fixed then went back to the 45 minutes. I did end up paying to get the unlimited time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a group that used to meet via a phone conference and now we get to actually meet "live" with each other to have our monthly meetings
Fast, Easy and well integrated in Outlook
What do you like best about the product?
Price and simplicity to do an invitation for participants. The setup I clean and easy to help those that aren't using it regularly navigate through Zoom
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything works well and there seems to be zero latency
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem is, we are starting an ongoing business from Australia so a lot of meetings happen. Our overseas meetings and US-based client meetings allow us to contain costs by not having to fly all over the country for meetings. Being able to see our clients make it possible to pick up on any dissatisfaction which we can solve then or get on a plane and resolve it. By the way, we haven't had to fly anywhere so far :)

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to meet with clients in a virtual environment. As a virtual company, the convenience has assisted clients in state and out of state. The flexibility helps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes clients say I have another meeting in progress when I am waiting for the client to join meeting. This feature can be streamlined better letting the client know the meeting has started via text or email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a virtual option for clients within my territory or within the US or out of the country. This is an amazing option for clients to feel secure when meeting with our company for client meetings and reviews.
Zoom is definitely the easiest service to use.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and Zoom provides abundant help pages, videos, and drop-in classes.
What do you dislike about the product?
One confusing thing for people that I help with Zoom is the use of technical terms like "client". This comes from client/server technology and is quite opaque to non-technical people. A term like "app" would be better, even if it strictly does not apply to the "web client". I have had lawyers who I help with Zoom ask me why in the world Zoom wants to know about their "clients".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to meet without travel and risk of COVID infection.
I will recommend Zoom to any of my friends and or colleagues.
What do you like best about the product?
During covid Zoom was a great tool for obvious reasons, however, I am finding that for quick meetings when all staff is needed but not all in zoom is a great solution. Events that we host here are now more accessible to all staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I forget to select anything for the section where you select audio etc. I think it should default to at least one option because it is going to be one or the other.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom solved our issues when we were limited in how many staff we could have on-site. Now zoom allows me to attend meetings without leaving the office. I also benefit from doing almost all of my interviews via zoom which makes me more efficient.
