What do you like best about the product?
I find Zoom Workplace to be incredibly invaluable for our lab as the primary source for meetings and discussions. The variety of tools like the whiteboard, phone, spaces, team chat, and meetings stand out for me, providing a comprehensive suite of functionalities that cater to diverse needs. Switching from Teams to Zoom Workplace was a great decision for us, given the advanced tools and capabilities that surpass our previous tool's offerings. Additionally, the setup was very easy for our team, which made the transition seamless. I am very impressed with Zoom Workplace and would recommend it to others without hesitation, as reflected in my high rating of 10.

Wasted Time in Meetings
Before, during, and after meetings, important assets (like agendas, files, or chat) were scattered. Zoom now has a Meetings tab inside its app that centralizes meeting lifecycle: calendar, chat, recordings, and shared docs.
The continuous meeting chat means conversations don’t have to start and stop strictly within meeting time you can pick up threads afterward.

Reliable and easy-to-use tool for everyday collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I use Zoom Workplace almost every day for research meetings, clinical project discussions, and vendor calls. The best part is how reliable it is even with large groups. Screen sharing, breakout rooms, and the recording feature make collaboration very easy. I also like that scheduling through the desktop app and Outlook is quick and consistent. Overall, it fits well into my workflow and is very straightforward to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I notice is that Zoom can be heavy on CPU usage during long meetings, especially when multiple people are sharing video. Occasionally the audio cuts out briefly if my network fluctuates. I also feel that switching between accounts (work vs personal) could be smoother. These are not deal-breakers, but they do interrupt the experience at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom Workplace makes it much easier for me to coordinate with collaborators, vendors, and research teams who are spread across different locations. Instead of trying to arrange in-person meetings or long email threads, I can quickly schedule virtual discussions and share screens to review designs, data, or documents. It also helps with cross-institutional work, since I often need to meet with clinicians, engineers, and industry partners. The platform saves me a significant amount of time, keeps projects moving faster, and allows me to stay connected even when traveling or working from the lab.
Zoom Workplace: true all-in-one workspace that genuinely streamlines my day
What do you like best about the product?
It's no longer just a meeting platform; it's a true all-in-one workspace that genuinely streamlines my day.
Unified Productivity: Having Meetings, Team Chat, Phone, Mail, and Calendar all connected in one application eliminates the frustrating "app-switching tax." I can instantly elevate a chat to a call or meeting, and all my related documents and notes are right there.
The Power of AI Companion: The built-in AI is a game-changer. Features like meeting summaries, real-time catch-up on missed conversations, and drafting chat/email responses save a significant amount of time, allowing me to stay focused during meetings and be more productive afterward.
Reliable and User-Friendly: The video and audio quality is consistently reliable, and the interface is incredibly intuitive. Even with all the new features, it maintains the ease of use that Zoom is famous for.
In short, Zoom Workplace has successfully combined top-tier communication with essential productivity features, making it the most efficient way to manage a flexible or hybrid workday.

What do you dislike about the product?
While the overall value of Zoom Workplace is undeniable, my primary "dislike" is related to the complexity that comes with the sheer volume of new features.
The move from a simple meeting app to a complete unified communications platform (Meetings, Chat, Phone, Mail, Docs) is brilliant, but it has introduced a bit of feature overload and a steeper learning curve for users accustomed to the original, minimalist Zoom.
Discoverability of New Tools: It can sometimes be challenging to find where the new Zoom Docs, Clips, or Scheduler features live, or to understand how they integrate with the legacy Zoom client. The interface has become denser, requiring a few extra clicks to get to the most common actions.
The "Bundle" Effect: While I appreciate the consolidated environment, the various paid add-ons and tiers (e.g., for extra Cloud Storage, Large Meetings, or advanced Phone features) can make pricing and subscription management feel more complex than a single-purpose application.
Resource Intensity: With so many services now running under one roof, the application can occasionally feel more resource-intensive on older or less-powerful devices, especially during long meetings with high-definition video.
In short, my "dislike" is really a suggestion for refinement: the team could benefit from simplifying the UI and making the incredible new features more intuitive and easily digestible for everyday users. It's a minor trade-off for the massive boost in productivity the full platform provides.

The Problem: The Fragmented Digital Workday
The biggest problem Zoom Workplace solves is "app-switching fatigue" and "information silos"—the constant friction of juggling disconnected tools for video, chat, phone, email, and documents.
This fragmentation leads to lost time, missed context, and a breakdown in collaboration, especially in a hybrid work environment.
The Solution & Benefit: A Truly Unified, AI-Powered Hub
Zoom Workplace consolidates these essential functions into one cohesive, intelligent platform. This benefits me by giving me back productive time and ensuring continuity across all my communications.
Here are the top three ways it solves problems for me:
1. Problem Solved: The "Where Did We Discuss That?" Dilemma
How Zoom Workplace Solves It: By tightly integrating Meetings, Team Chat, Phone, Mail, and Calendar. Every interaction is connected. I can instantly elevate a chat to a video call or easily find the meeting recording, chat history, and shared files all linked to one calendar event.
My Benefit: Massive Time Savings. I no longer waste 15 minutes searching for a document that was shared in a chat that happened five minutes before a meeting. The information stays where the work happens.
2. Problem Solved: Information Overload and Catching Up
How Zoom Workplace Solves It: With the AI Companion woven into every part of the platform. The AI provides real-time meeting summaries, highlights action items, and can even catch me up on missed chat threads. The new Zoom Docs feature can automatically transform meeting content into an actionable document.
My Benefit: Increased Focus and Productivity. I can fully engage in a conversation knowing the AI will handle the meticulous note-taking. I can jump into a project team's chat after a vacation and get a clear, executive summary in seconds, making the "return to work" friction disappear.
3. Problem Solved: Unequal Hybrid/Remote Experiences
How Zoom Workplace Solves It: By prioritizing an "equitable meeting experience." Features like Smart Gallery, which individually frames in-room participants, and advanced Zoom Rooms features (like Workspace Reservation and Digital Signage) ensure that remote team members feel equally connected to their in-office counterparts.
My Benefit: Stronger Team Connection. Regardless of whether I'm working from home or in the office, I have a consistently high-quality experience. This fosters a better team culture where no one feels like a second-class participant due to their location.
In essence, Zoom Workplace moves beyond being just a tool for communication and becomes a true Productivity Engine, solving the daily frictions that drain energy from modern workers.
