Zoom is great for recording podcast interviews
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to use Zoom. Being able to share the screen, using the chat during meetings is great for me during group meetings, and it's affordable. The program is so versatile and adapts to all my needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many settings, that it's hard to know what they all do and what is best for my needs. I get confused sometimes about what certain things do. There are probably features that I don't know about but that would be helpful to me if I knew more about them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom allows me to connect with clients all over the country and a few times in other places in the world. This has allowed me to expand my coaching business and who I can interview for my podcast.
Ease of Communication
What do you like best about the product?
I work with a team of individuals from across the state. It makes it easy for us to communicate and share ideas in a meeting-style setting even though we're not in the same room. Meetings are easy to set up and the links make it easy to share.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when my program freezes and I have to shut it down in the middle of a meeting. When that happens I'm not able to get back in using the same link. There have even been times when I'm the host of the meeting and I (the host) get booted but the rest of the team is still able to meet even when I'm logged off. I don't know how this is possible when the host is gone but it has happened.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Per my previous answer, I hope they're solving the issues regarding having the program freeze. This tends to happen when there area number of people on the meeting.
Driving My Business Forward
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up meetings and schedule multiple meetings in advance. I like that I can easily record calls as needed. Love the virtual background and blurred options which allow me to meet from anywhere without anyone knowing where I actually am!
What do you dislike about the product?
On some calls with lots of people, I would like to be able to easily mute and unmute everyone. I believe this can be done but I have to search for it. If calls get too noisy or someone forgets to mute, having the ability to easily mute and unmute people would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having the ability to easily meet with clients is huge. It's been a total gamechanger for my business!! Seeing a client's face is so important which obviously on a phone call is not possible.
Solution for a small church
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is easy to use and inclusive. It gives us a way to project the service to our nursery and for parents to monitor the action in the nursery from their seat.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not easy to use with a single-input sound system. If more than 1 computer has their sound on in the room, it is distorted for everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have few people to staff the nursery, and worried about security. But with the Zoom feed, those in the nursery can see the service, and parents in worship can watch their children.
Reliable & Affordable Program
What do you like best about the product?
It is relatively easy to get set up and use. The chat feature is extremely beneficial for large group meetings. The virtual backgrounds like blurring are great for those working from home or in public spaces. The quality of the sound and audio is consistent provided that you have reliable internet. And the record feature is great for when we host webinars or informational sessions that we want to share out at a later date.
What do you dislike about the product?
The time limit (40 mins) on free accounts. The length of the URL to join a zoom meeting is too long, it would be nice if you could shorten them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a hybrid team with some folks in the office and some remote and being able to quickly and conveniently video chat has helped to maintain the team environment. We do more video calls than ever before but we also get to "meet" more people than before who normally would have just been phone conversations.
Zoom is My Go-To Meeting App
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a long-term Zoom user for a reason. Zoom is a very stable platform for both video and audio quality. The chat function works well, and I like that it can be saved. Zoom's breakout rooms are excellent for providing a way for smaller groups to meet when the Zoom meeting is large. Zoom is good to use one-to-one or one-to-many. I have a lot of experience using Zoom as both a presenter/teacher and a participant. It's my first choice for meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides to Zoom are minimal. If anything, they center on the chat functionality. I'd like to be able to tag people and search the chat. It would also be great to drop gifs there (another tool I use recently added that feature, and it's pretty fun to have them in the chat).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom has enabled me to expand my business beyond my local area. I am able to meet people from literally all over the world without traveling. It's saved me money. It's enabled me to get clients from literally anywhere. I can't imagine running my business without Zoom.
Zoom has enhanced my work from home role
What do you like best about the product?
I like that scheduling and creating zoom meetings are efficient and easy. It has made meeting with my clients that are located in different states easier and more personable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I get glitches with my zoom app and have to use the desktop version instead. This doesn't happen often but can be annoying at times. I find some clients have a hard time managing it as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When transitions into a totally remote roll, I was worried about being able to effectively communicate with my clients. Zoom allows us to have face to face meetings at least once a week.
Happy with Zoom
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to schedule and set up a meeting. I like the options to mute people, to turn on/off video, and the call-in option for people with low-quality internet coverage.
What do you dislike about the product?
I used to have a problem with scheduling meetings days ahead of time, but that was fixed. Now, I just wish some things were easier to find and a bit more intuitive, but I'm happy overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with people all over the country, and sometimes the world. Zoom helps me stay connected. Whenever email communication just isn't cutting it, I always suggest we schedule a Zoom.

It would be more helpful to me if you could see more people who are in the meeting while also seeing what is being presented, without needing a second screen

Zoom is allowing us to provide trainings that we are not able to due to time constrictions and COVID

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Zoom is being able to access a meeting within seconds. Overall, the interface is simple to use and helps me tremendously while working from home.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything that I don't like about Zoom. If I was experiencing difficulties I’m confident that I can get the help I need or can find the answer within the help center.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom allows for my coworkers and I to connect as if we were in-person and share realtime feedback on work tasks and projects. Our team collaboration is made easier with Zoom.
