What do you like best about the product?
We use Zoom on a regular basis for meetings and trainings. I like the ability to record, as needed. The polls are also a great tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost for pro is preventing us from upgrading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I saw that the whiteboard was added. I haven't had the opportunity to use this yet, but can foresee benefits for our team.

We use zoom daily for our business. We love the breakout feature

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to send out a code and have our music students join for their lessons.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes audio quality for music can be an issue. We tend to mute our side in order to hear our music students.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a secure way of meeting with students that are outside our geographical area and this works great!

    Mental Health Care

The perfect blend of features and functionality!

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom allows me to easily schedule/invite people to meetings and provides me with just the right amount of in-meeting, easy-to-use tools to effectively moderate my meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the fact that I am unable to host webinars that are longer than 30 minutes, unless I pay for the added feature. For that reason, I am shopping for other options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to have well-run sessions with clients which causes both me and my clients to not think about the technology and more about what we want to get done during the meeting.

Zoom has been a boon

  • August 18, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find that Zoom is pretty universally used by my customers. The links are easy to copy, the email inviations are clear.
I also found that many people have it installed. I hate having to install YET ANOTHER client (Webex, meetings, etc.) It's sort of a defacto standard.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that people forget that there is a listing of recently used meeting links. That is a great feature but people are missing it. I run many repeating meetings so I have seen this often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have daily meetings and it is super easy for the group to reconnect daily. I have used Zoom for about 5 years and it worked great for collaboration as well as meetings. It's excellent for remote workers.

Zoom reliable but hard to use sometimes

  • August 18, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Reliability, video quality, the ability to create shared spaces. It's the security and quality that it really does well though. I am confident my calls are secure, and they will likely not drop which is super important to me. I also love the integration with Google Calendar. Has made it really easy to set up Zoom meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI for scheduling a meeting is cluttered and confusing to use. the flow makes little sense. I also dislike how every time I start a meeting screen-sharing is off. It's annoying for my team and clients, and was hard to understand how to resolve at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick, reliable, communication from anywhere on the world on any device I have with me. It has allowed my team and my clients to stay connected through Covid which is why I started and continue using it.

    Education Management

Started with Zoom during Covid, and have stayed since

What do you like best about the product?
I find it very easy to use and it is easily accessible for people I am working with to use as well. For classes, I like that I can see all 25 or 30 students as opposed to other platforms. I also like features like the white board and being able to control how my students experience the Zoom class.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had a lot of problems with trying to pre-establish groups. I am a teacher who uses flexible grouping in my classes, so even within the same class session, I may not put students into the same groups, let alone across multiple class sessions. I have never been able to make the pre-established groups work and always end up having to take time out of class to place students where I want them. I do wish this were more reliable and more flexible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With COVID, everything moved online, however I continue to teach in degree programs that are 100% online so Zoom helps me to continue to work in my job (University of SC) even though I moved to Texas. When I told my department chair I would be moving, she asked if I could still do my job virtually. I said, yes, largely because I relied on Zoom to help me deliver synchronous classes and provide office hours to students. I am entering my third year as a completely virtual instructor 1200 miles from my employment site.

Overall Great Paid Experience, Account Managers are not as helpful as I would like.

What do you like best about the product?
I would say that it is easy to use and our consultants have had no problems being trained on it. Even consultants who are less tech savvy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features on Zoom phone are not as easy to use or set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly having a consistent video conferencing tool as well as a remote phone system

Zoom makes our webinars professional

  • August 18, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With Zoom, we can host webinars for large audiences. They are professional and I love the various webinar features such as Q&A. I have never used a competitior so I can't say if Zoom is better or not.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have many webinar hosts who log into our company Zoom account to run our webinars. This creates issues including needing a code to get into Zoom, which is sent to our owner's email. I have no idea how to rectify this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting people without needing to be in person for meetings and webinars. Zoom helped our company expand across the United States and reach audiences that otherwise we would have never reached.

Incredibly Fluid Video/Voice, Fundamental Customer Service

  • August 18, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm incredibly impressed by how solid the video quality is and how well the sound syncs up. Compared to other video-conferencing software I've used in the past, the rest pale in comparison. Besides this, their CSRs are knowledgeable and lovely to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I've used this program in the past, it was often paired with OBS to run streams. I wish the pairing of the two was more seamless, or at the least had a built-in way to easily make stable video frames that weren't difficult to manage while live on-air, especially when other participants drop from a call.
I understand that this may be a non-gripe though, as it is about interacting with another service. On its own, bare basics, Zoom has few to nil problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom has a solid reputation for maintaining a call and its quality overall. With other services, the call can be bogged down by online traffic or other hazards. But with Zoom, I feel like those hiccups are kept to a minimum.
