One of the best video conferencing softwares

  • February 28, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Zoom since 2020, mainly for virtual college clases and team projects. I have to say I like how intuitive this program is; the first days I had to use this, it was easy to find the options for camera, microphone, and screen sharing. I like that you can see the chatbox and meeting participants simultaneously. This last aspect doesn't happen in Google Meets, which my company uses for virtual work. I also like that it warns you if your connection is unstable because of my slow internet.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about this program is that if you accidentally turn on your microphone, Zoom doesn't show you a message about this. Other video conferencing software warns you if your microphone is on but sharing background noises and not your voice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem Zoom solved for me was the virtual meetings I had to run due to the Pandemic. This program keeps being very useful for this reason. I like virtual meetings rather than in-person ones. That is why my college and business performance increased, and Zoom was part of it.

Fantastic for calls and discussions

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom caters to the needs of those looking to connect with people and communicate with ease virtually. Using your PC, smartphone, or any portable device, you can have chat sessions or meetings with anyone provided that they also use Zoom. Zoom doesn't require the users to use the same machine for communication, making it ideal for virtual meetings. If you're the host, Zoom allows you to schedule your appointments conveniently using any device and even your browser, where you can pick the date and time efficiently. Calls on Zoom are pretty streamlined and very data-efficient. You can use Zoom on the go, even on the LTE network, without worrying about running out of data quickly. You can make quick calls to any Zoom user if you have them as a contact. You can also make calls or meetings to Zoom rooms and communicate easily with several users. Zoom rooms support text chatting, enabling you to communicate via text. Outside of work hours or when hosting a meeting isn't probable, text chats come in handy to communicate and share any message. You can also record audio messages instead, which Zoom embeds in the rooms for users to play, similar to WhatsApp. Zoom makes it convenient to share files, images, GIFs, emojis, etc.

Zoom has been a complete standout in the IT industry due to its vast features. The COVID-19 pandemic has proven that Zoom has multiple uses. For those working from home, Zoom is the best software available since it supports seamless communication and allows them to work hassle-free. The ability to share your screen comes in handy when you're working together on a specific task, making it possible to share the contents on your computer easily. For people who take online classes for school, courses, or general job training, this feature is convenient. Zoom also supports presenting, which is beneficial to students during lessons and business webinars.

Zoom makes calling easier for everyone. You can make phone calls via Zoom at affordable prices, which is beneficial if you're working in customer service or communicating with business contacts frequently. You can opt for toll-free numbers on which you can receive calls. You can add multiple users to your team so that anyone with permission can respond to incoming calls. Zoom allows call recording and reporting, two features that come in handy if your job requires making calls quite often.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zoom lacks volume settings for individual users. In meetings, at times, there are instances where one user is considerably louder than the others, and there's no way to turn their volume down specifically. It can be awkward to constantly tell someone to turn their mic volume down because they're too loud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is the communication software that helps me work from home hassle-free. All of my coworkers that I'm closely working with are also on Zoom, making it easier for me to message or call them for any need at any time. We have group sessions for general work discussions where we can collaborate or assist whomever if necessary. Zoom rooms provide an excellent way of communicating besides messaging. Instead of typing long essays, we can convey any message via voice recording, which can be more accessible for people to listen to when they're in the middle of something. File sharing on Zoom is pretty convenient and a feature that we regularly use to share documents, presentation files, images, and text files involving software information. File sharing on Zoom is pretty secure, and the files we upload are only accessible by those in the room. We can share and view files through any device and also communicate. As a result of COVID-19, I work from home, and without Zoom, I cannot imagine the difficulties my coworkers would've had to go through using only emails and phone calls to communicate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Zoom is a good product and a benefit to many. It has the right set of features catering to remote workers, online classes, and more. You can start using Zoom for free with no strings attached. There's no trial version, and the free version has no expiry.

Straightforward web conferences

  • February 24, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is the ideal software for web conferences and calls. Zoom is available across phones, computers, web browsers, and other devices with the latest OSes. Being a cross-platform tool, Zoom is accessible on various devices, where one can connect to conferences conveniently. Zoom's meetings are pretty well-optimized and of stellar quality to ensure that you have a flawless experience. Zoom is pretty lightweight and runs very smoothly during conferences, and you'll notice no lag at all or desyncing of audio and video during video conferences. You can have meetings with multiple users simultaneously, which is a significant benefit as Zoom is an excellent tool for large business conferences. Zoom is pretty viable for calls as you can set up a virtual number to receive calls from anywhere. You can also make international phone calls affordably and also use it to send text messages. International Zoom calls aren't restricted to phones only as you can also make such calls from your computer. At any time, you can pause the call on your computer and resume it on your phone and vice versa without hanging up. This feature can be beneficial to transfer or redirect calls to another user.

I also like how quick and efficient it is to share files on Zoom. The file-sharing limit is decently high, making it convenient to send work files and docs without any hassle. You can send multiple files simultaneously, and Zoom will queue up their upload one by one without your intervention. Some file formats are readable by Zoom, making it possible for the users to preview them in the chat before downloading. One of the best features Zoom offers is screen-sharing, which is widely used everywhere today, from business conferences to school sessions for working, sharing, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Zoom is free, many of its features are limited and inaccessible without upgrading. Zoom's upgrades aren't very affordable and require a continuous subscription instead of a one-time fee. Group meetings are only available for 40 minutes, after which you'll have to remake them unless you upgrade.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For web conferences and remote work, I've been using Zoom regularly for the past three years. I'm working from home because of COVID, and Zoom helps me conversate and stay in contact with my coworkers while working on our routine assignments. With Zoom, it's relieving to know that communication will never be an issue since Zoom has no downtime. It's accessible on multiple devices, making it available for meetings from any location. Even outside of our work hours, we can use Zoom to text and send messages to one another or in the conference room. Our work, especially the projects, requires a group effort, where file-sharing is integral. Zoom makes this easy on everyone as it has the fastest and safest file-sharing means available. Zoom's screen-sharing is flawless and offers the most precise quality, making it easier for us to read code and texts on the screen shared from anyone's computer. In addition, even if one person is screen-sharing, Zoom allows others to screen-sharing simultaneously as well. You can split the screen-sharing window to accommodate multiple screens to watch them simultaneously. For group work, this is essential and makes communication easier and makes working on projects more productive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For free, Zoom is fantastic. But its 40 minute limit on group meetings can be challenging to work with unless you're comfortable restarting sessions after the duration ends. Unless you're willing to upgrade, this is the best workaround that makes Zoom convenient to use. Its features are excellent for any web conferencing need and work flawlessly.

Best video conferencing app I have ever used.

  • February 23, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom was the first software that I started using actively while getting everything online during the global pandemic times. Zoom was something that came to rescue my team and me while connecting and discuss over the project plans. The feature that blew my mind was the screen sharing option with remote access control. Before that, we have to use AnyDesk like apps for this purpose. Zoom was helpful while organizing the online events. It enables the users with a live chat option, Q&A feature, and Zoom Rooms feature. Zoom's audio and video conferencing quality are just superb compared to its competitors like google meet.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing much in zoom to dislike. Zoom is perfect for providing every feature to the user or customers. One thing they should work on is the quality of calls while in low network connectivity. App gets disconnected while having fluctuation in the network. Other than that, Zoom works perfectly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom made the work easy while discussing projects and plans with the projects. Connecting with the team is just so simple while using zoom. You can schedule the meeting in advance and give the host access to other fellow members of your team. Handling significant events and activities in those events is made easy by zoom.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
One of the best in industry solutions for video conferencing in the market

Seamless meetings, work collaboration, and more!

  • February 22, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
When you think of remote meetings and work collaboration, Zoom is the most suitable software that you can find to accomplish both of these tasks. It's easy to set up and get started with if you're new. The video conferences are impeccable and work like a charm, whether you're hosting them without any prior scheduling or organizing them in advance. With a high limit of up to 100 participants per meeting, you can easily arrange an appointment for your business, small or big. Upon scheduling a meeting, Zoom creates a room specifically for the discussion and its members. You can invite people using the invitation link or give them the meeting ID, which they can enter into the box to join your session. Zoom is very accessible since you can use it on your phone and any other device. Having a tool like Zoom that is accessible anywhere and can be used to communicate with people from any part of the world makes it an excellent medium for conferences. If you're using Zoom to collaborate on your work, it offers a fantastic set of applications for completing various tasks and assisting you in working with your coworkers. You can install many applications with different purposes from the marketplace to carry out tasks or assist you in being more productive. While you can use the chat room to communicate, create bullet points, and leave important messages, Zoom also has a virtual whiteboard feature. You can use the virtual whiteboard to write and draw and create tables or lists for any reason.
What do you dislike about the product?
Screen-sharing on Zoom can sometimes cause the RAM usage to go up, causing the sessions to lag a lot for everyone involved. When we're sharing heavy RAM-consuming applications such as Visual Studio, it can sometimes make collaborating challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is an excellent solution to many problems with remote work and collaboration needs. It makes communicating with coworkers, whether in private messages or group conferences, easier. The Zoom Phone app also makes it convenient to exchange messages with anyone as it works just like any internet-based texting app. We can call, message, share and work efficiently from anywhere. Zoom supports file transfer, a feature that we cannot work without since our projects often involve sharing files for different processes such as fixing errors, quality analysis, testing, etc., which are all done by various people. We rely on file-sharing to make necessary changes and updates to our code so that we're always on the same page. File sharing on Zoom is relatively quick, making sharing with multiple people easier. We no longer have to rely on email attachments or use a third-party application such as Dropbox to upload a file and share its URL. We can conveniently drag and drop the file into the room to upload it. The screen-share tool on Zoom bridges the gap in remote work entirely. Not only can we see each other's faces in video conferences, but also what we're working on by broadcasting our screens.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Zoom is excellent for meetings, but its free version limits you heavily. You're given 40 minutes for any conference with two or more participants. If upgrading to a paid subscription isn't feasible, I would recommend Skype instead as it offers everything Zoom already does while staying free.

Best Option Available

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom has the best audio and video quality of all of the video conferencing applications I have used. The builtin ai features are of good quality, and the integrations improve workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
The windows and task bars sometimes get in the way of other tasking areas, and the view isn't ad customizable as I wish it was. Very seldom, but occasionally there are glitches where the links do not always work when joining a meeting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom allows our company to have both internal and external meets amidst the pandemic that prevents us from meeting in the office or at other sites. This opportunity to meet from anywhere has expanded our ability to be remote.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When sending a meeting invite start or schedule a new meeting rather than using your personal meeting room to create a link and ID specific to each meeting for security purposes.

Simple to Use, Effective Application

What do you like best about the product?
I like that when I click on Personal Meeting in the Zoom app, it will allow me to click on the Personal Meeting button to easily copy and paste it into Google Calendar for meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that it is sometimes hard to cultivate individual meeting links, in that I do not know how to do it and the product does not make it easy to figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is an easy, accessible product for internal and external meetings (i.e. with clients). Nearly everyone knows how to at least get into Zoom, which has allowed my company to conduct meetings seamlessly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I suggest that you really experiment with the user interface before purchasing because it is challenging to find out exactly what your upcoming meetings are or where they are all scheduled in a calendar.

Excellent Video Conferencing Tool

  • February 18, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom allows me to have video calls with people easily, and it integrates with a lot of software, which gives me more functionality. Also, I can easily share meeting information with others from my Zoom window.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I use the email function for invite participant invites within Zoom, sometimes people do not receive the invite, even though a new email window is generated for me to use for sending an email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom lets me have video calls with customers across the country easily so we can look at each other screens while we are talking, which makes us more productive than conducting a regular phone call instead.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Zoom does nearly anything you can want in a video conferencing tool, and it is easy to use.

Smooth calls, lots of options

  • February 17, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom has a lot of features, but I pretty much just use it for its video call capabilities. It has pretty smooth video and audio quality, and it integrates with slack and Google calendars which makes it easy to send out invite links.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the settings are hard to find, and the default settings are kind of restrictive. For instance, I can't figure out how to allow users to copy text from the chat. If someone sends me a link or a piece of information in the chat, I've had to resort to keeping the chat open in one window and retyping what I wanted to copy in another. I also wish it integrated with Google calendar a little better. I wish that all scheduled zoom calls associated with my email would show on the zoom homepage. It seems kind of random which ones it recognizes as my meetings for the day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is the leader in video calls, so clients are familiar with getting on zoom calls. It's secure and reliable, and has lots of features like polls and reactions. I use the slack integration to start zoom calls in a message.

Lots of functionality to help with the new work/school from home culture

What do you like best about the product?
I like that on top of being a video communication option for the modern world, you can also do things like present your screen, connect and control someone's screen, draw on slides, amongst many other things. It is helpful for a lot of different types of meeting formats as well as beneficial in the IT field to present and instruct users. Features like break out rooms have also been useful in many different ways. It works well on my computer, tablet, and phone which is also a good option for when one is on the go. I feel like everytime I log into zoom I discover a new feature to make life easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be very laggy, even more than google meet, which is why we tend to still use Meet for most of our general, larger meetings. While having a stronger internet connection helps, it is not always possible, and meet tends to be more stable in that field overall. Sometimes I have trouble getting my bluetooth speakers to properly connect and even when they are connected the volume seems very low no matter what I do. I feel like, as a premium user, audio should not be the main problem I am having.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product has helped with long-distance communication, maintaining social relationships, meeting for the class as well as meeting with outside vendors for work. I like all of the tools that it has for classroom use and learning. It feels intuitive and allows for a more direct experience when learning new material. Features like break out rooms have been useful in many of the classes I have taken so far as well as being useful for interviews. I have attended several webinars on zoom as well and it always goes smoothly. I am glad we are way passed the time of having to use laggy Skype for everything!
