Good software for setting up online professional meetings

What do you like best about the product?
This software is very user-friendly, reliable. It offers easy screen-sharing, good-quality video and audio calls. Besides, it allows up to 100 participants in each meeting. This software offers free 40-minute calls. However, for more than 40 minutes, you need to open a premium account. You can use a virtual background for a better privacy, when you are turning on your camera in the call.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only one person can be heard at a time in Zoom. In a typical zoom call, the audience is muted, and it is tough to get feedback from them. So, the speaker can not modify the speech (pausing, slowing down, etc.) based on the audience's reaction. When the number of users increases, the software tends to freeze, blur, etc.
A new update on this tool: It degraded in quality over time. It used to be so reliable for group calls. Now it is slower, and the video calls are in lower resolution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I basically used Zoom for a total of 18 months for setting up online professional meetings. My meetings were with my manager, co-workers, interviewers, and students (online classes). It is a very beneficial medium, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic era. It is very easy to set up, and it is highly secure.
I have also used the Zoom application to connect with my family members for personal use.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and the amount of people that I can add on a call. I and my friends and colleagues can connect without even meeting in person and it really saved us throughout this unprecedented time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides are that occasionally it would freeze up on my friend's end however that may have been due to internet connectivity issues. Also sometimes it would crash.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some problems that I have solved or with being able to help friends and coworkers by inadvertently being able to guide them through their screens when they need technological help or need help understanding concepts due to the screen sharing and drawing aspects of zoom.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For those looking at zoom, I would say take some time to learn the controls however once you figure them out it will be life-changing and much easier to use than the other screen sharing video conference apps especially Facebook video, Skype or things of the like.

Conferencing and sharing made easy

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Zoom for years. More Companies use Zoom than any other conferencing software out there. Why? The platform is easy to use for even a beginner. The ability to set preferences for video, sound, screen size, chat, share screen are all available simply by clicking on the icon. At first glance, a new user may be a little intimidated; however, after just a few words of instruction from the Host, they are good to go.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing about Zoom I dislike is when you have a conference involving many attendees; it tends to lag or completely kick you out. You find yourself going back to your email to find the invite link and then wait for the Host to re-invite you in. It sometimes even happens if you have many programs open and your internet connection uses a lot of bandwidth. It can be frustrating. To get the best experience with Zoom, close any programs you are not using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is used by my Company daily. It brings us together for training, one on one conferencing, peer-to-peer activities such as doing mock calls, group meetings. It truly does make it simple.

Zoom is a great tool and makes sharing easy!

What do you like best about the product?
The time saved being able to hold meetings for the company, consulting with clientele, or prospect new clients from anywhere with internet access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zoom does seem to take a lot of processing power from the laptop and does slow the ability to use other programs or adds lag when using with other programs and windows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many of our consultants are constantly working on different portions of projects, and zoom allows us to keep in communication without losing time by holding projections or progress meetings by having everyone meet in the office. We can set appointments on the calendar. Then everyone can join in from different cities and states, and the time allotted for that meeting is the amount of time used in the day, without the loss of time and productivity to meet in a centralized location. Zoom allows us to keeps productivity levels high and does not impede on projects that are on a tight schedule.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a small, medium, or large scale business, zoom can save you time better used for getting the information to employees, clientele, or prospects and getting back to work. Or managing multiple meetings a day with ease of knowing you can make more use of the day without having to drive to the office, clients, and prospects which allows for more prospecting and more potential clients closed. With the ability to schedule more contracts candidates, consult with more clients, and manage your time proficiently, the opportunity for company growth and company meeting its quarterly goals improve.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that for setting up meetings, Zoom makes it easy to send links to others. Overall, the app is easy to use and user-friendly. I really enjoy the breakout room feature as well. For my use in classes and meetings, this was helpful. I had several different orientation sessions for my school, and this feature was ideal for breaking extremely large (200+) people into smaller, more manageable groups. I also find the chat box and hand-raising features to be useful in these situations, where large groups of people are present. It allows the speaker/presenter to see questions or comments that are taking place among participants without having to detract from their presentation, and can address them on their own time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that sharing the link to a Zoom meeting can be difficult due to the links being so long. For a group I was in, I was responsible for designing marketing/advertising materials for events we held. I was only able to say "look for the Zoom link," but that would have to be sent in a separate email. I also didn't like that on a computer, I could use Zoom through the internet without having to download or open the app, but on my phone, I had to have the app. I had an older version of iPhone and didn't want to utilize the storage space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom has allowed lots of communication during the Covid-19 pandemic. I have used it for school events in which large groups of people needed to get together for events that were previously held at large locations, such as during supervised (proctored) testing. I was able to take a test that required an official proctor to monitor us that otherwise could have been significantly delayed.

The ability to be connected no matter where you are!

Sometimes all of my devices ring at the same time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved the problem of having all of our communication in one place. We have the benefit of starting video meetings with the click of a button!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Zoom has done a great job combining the communication of Phone, Chatting, Texting and Meeting all in one place. All of these features work together seamlessly.

We love the ability to be able to work anywhere with the ability of the Zoom App. I can now call my customers through my Zoom app and it shows the company number, not my personal number.

We also do a lot of screensharing. Often I am talking with someone and need to show them my screen. With one click of a button, I am in a meeting and then I can share my screen.

Texting is now a feature. We don't use it, but it is nice to have the capability if you want to be able to text your customers.

Zoom support is great! And they are always willing to help out and provide a lot of documentation.

They are always adding new features and working hard to keep everything secure. I've only seen security increase since we started using Zoom a year and a half ago. We started using it right prior to the pandemic and I'm not sure what we would have done without Zoom.

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is updating all the time to accommodate the ever-changing working environment. Their support is also wonderful and pretty responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zoom does have it's limitations with hosting which I wish wasn't the case, but I have a feeling in time, that it will also be adjusted and easier to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Honestly, working from home has been then major shift into Zoom over the last year. Zoom has changed functionality in a way that Google couldn't. I think it was the themes and perspective of Zoom which made it better for businesses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Zoom may create some learning curve, but there are resources when using this. The primary issue I have ever had with Zoom is that hosts are limited in their meetings. For example, as the operations manager, I set meeting for almost everyone on our team. At times the host setup can be confusing and limiting how many meetings can go on at one time.

What do you like best about the product?
this changed the way we do things, especially after covid. we love being able to walk providers through our systems and teaching them all the benefits of our websites through their share screen option
What do you dislike about the product?
maybe if we could manage accounts with more than one person it'd be great, who knows if that seven an option already

understanding what we do, how we help, and how our website works, without having to travle all around the US for our providers to do their initial set up.
