Simplicity of Zoom for online collaboration

  • July 27, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is simple to start and simple to use with default settings. However with experience a few tweaks can enhance the experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zoom only allows for 1 camera and when sharing a desktop app takes up most of the screen - so a third party app is needed to achieve good picture in picture.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is a great tool for team meetings of less than 9 participants. I have saved hours of travel time and cost participating in meetings utilizing Zoom’s technology.

Zoom brings Collaboration to Virtual Space

  • July 27, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is easier to install than other video conferencing options. It is also very quick and easy to launch. Finally, updates are easily installed without interrupting usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
People running zoom meetings often do not exercise adequate control over the meeting and attendees. This may be more user-related, rather than the platform itself. Zoom admin. training should be more readily available for users hosting meetings. Maybe, include helpful tips to remind admins. of things they can do to help a meeting run smoothly during the meeting itself, or when launching the client.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom is a great way for our center to regularly touch base and see where everyone is with their work. We are able to share screen for different team members to give presentations during the same meeting. We can also view a central task list for strong collaboration. Finally, Zoom's share screen helps facilitate distance troubleshooting and minor trainings.

Amazing Meeting Collaboration Tool that has tons of features and ZOOM Conference Rooms

  • July 24, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I love most about Zoom is that it is very user friendly. It is easy for end users to understand and managing it from and IT perscpective is wonderful as well. Setting up the intregrations with G Suite is quick and painless. Setting up Calendar intregrations with Gsuite is also amazing. The Fact you have have a Zoom Room set up to make it even easier for our end users to have Zoom meetings with remote employees or Cleints is very valuable. Zoom makes it easy for folks who do not have zoom installed to join via the browser as well. They have intregration with Microsoft Skype/Lync which also makes it easy for folks who use Skype for their Business enviorment as well. Zoom responded, Fixed and edcuated their users about the Zoom Bombing as well which was great. They have features in place that just needed to enabled to ensure outside folks cannot just guess the meeting ID.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the updates are up to the user to install. I have used a script I have found online which pushes these updates to the Mac sand PCs. Zoom Responded quickly to the negative press they were saying they had the solutions in place but they should just make the waiting room and passwords a default action. I also think they release too many updates. They should wait a bit longer when pushing out features as they could just do it all in one big release so I don't have to keep updating my endpoints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving for meeting remotly with Clients and for our Team and setting up webinars for interal meetings

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working from home during a pademic

Zoom is miles ahead of the game!

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom has quality image and audio. It is very easy to use and allows for virtual backgrounds. It offers a variety of meeting settings. I can share screens on the same network which makes my life easier
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the way video calls are displayed when there are too many people present for the call. When you have a less than perfect connection you pretty much lose sound and it is hard to get it back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom allows me to hold a meeting anywhere with anybody at pretty much any time. I can sit in my car at a fast food restaurant parking lot and hold a meeting with 10 people without leaving my car. It saves time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a remarkable product and easy on the pocketbook. I suggest purchasing it.

Makes working remotely easy! Stay connected with Zoom.

  • July 16, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Great for large conference meetings at work or even personal. Zoom makes staying connected with co-workers and clients easy. One of my favourite parts about Zoom compared to other systems is that you can also have 'break out' sessions. We've used this to play activities as a team and stay connected. Screen sharing and recording is also easy. Zoom has everything you'd need. Zoom Phone is also a very high quality softphone.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only complaint with Zoom is that I have been 'booted' out a few times and have found I need to reconnect on my phone instead. Also it can sometimes be a downside that the meeting doesn't start until the presenter joins - sometimes our clients have this set.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Extremely helped as my company is a hybrid work environment, but I work mostly remote. Zoom helps me to stay connected!

Zoom has been an amazing tool through COVID-19

  • July 10, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My business would have completely shut down if it wasn't for Zoom during COVID-19. The tech works great for connecting with clients. I have had very few problems with the software during meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would have been nice to have a "pay by call" option, rather than the monthly/yearly options. The virtual background screens are fun, but still a bit glitchy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being unable to meet with clients would have ended my productivity. However, I have been able to continue meeting clients, showing materials, etc, all without issues thanks to Zoom.

Great phone system for companies with global footprint.

What do you like best about the product?
One platform that can service all our locations - Canada, United States, Ireland and Australia. Ability to switch calls between devices with ease and simply call handling features at the touch of a button.
What do you dislike about the product?
Desktop APP has freezing issues, which is very annoying when you can't end a call sometimes.
Aug 2022 - updates seemed to have resolved freezing issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cheaper deployment of new DID and users set-up. Minimal hardware costs, we previously had Hard desk phone products.

Zoom Yoga!

  • July 07, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how for a small monthly fee I can host up to 100 participants at a time. This is affordable for a small, single-employee business like my own. I like how easy it is to save and share recordings.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of my favorite things about zoom is the record feature, however, I wish there was an option to just record the host the entire time. As a yoga instructor, I want to be able to view all the participants in the zoom meeting while teaching, but they only want to see the instructor (myself). I wish there was an option to choose to record only the host and not Just what is showing On the hosts screen
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to Covid restrictions, yoga studios are still closed in NY. Zoom has allowed me a way to keep in touch with my clients and still offer them classes. I am doing this complimentary now but plan to charge once I become more comfortable with this form of teaching.

Zoom has been in the right place at the right time

  • July 06, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's relatively easy to use. People are becoming increasingly familiar. Both phone/app and web possibilities. The availability of breakout rooms is very useful. The webinar version, as well as conference call, are great add ons to their exisitng platform. The virtual backgrounds are fun and useful when there's too much going on in my background. Password capabilities are great now for added security. The waiting room allows the speaker to approve and admit people. There are tons of options for scalability. There is a free version for basic users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confusion about plans and what can be done within each. Their security challenges in the beginning and outright lies about it as reported by several news sources. Inability to individually invite people from within the application so that the email address and name would be recorded as the one that they would be logging into the call with. When scaling, it seems like the system directs to a larger than needed purchase. There doesn't appear to currently be an easy way to put the same people in the same rooms each time breakout rooms are used. Charging extra for breakout rooms on smaller plans is something I don't like. We do a family call weekly. I have a paid account that I use for business. When chatting with family, I can't make a room for the kids without upgrading. Same goes for smaller events I conduct online. If I want to give time for a few people to connect privately... it requires a sizeable upgrade.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We speak to extended family weekly... more than ever before. :)
As the world moves into a more virtual context, I am able to deliver my events virtually with the help of Zoom.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are not a power user, there are free options that limit the time of the calls. If you need more, then pay for it. It's easy to use with Google Calendar as well as booking services.
