Nice platform but needs some improvements

  • June 25, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
I like the facilities provided by zoom, which allows us to have conference meetings and online webinars. Zoom has changed the way of meetings to take place enhancing the development towards digital world. With the help of Zoom, we can easily connect with our clients in real-time and improve user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of some things about zoom cloud meetings. Some of them include the limited time of 40 minutes to finish one session, and sometimes zoom lags a lot. Zoom is also somewhat costly to purchase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to the Covid19 pandemic, I could not go to my office to perform my daily wor, but zoom made the work from home possible. I can easily interact with the clients and have meetings with my seniors. I have realized that there is no need to book expensive hotels and conference houses for meetings and group meetups as they can be quickly done with the help of Zoom.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to buy zoom software to host your meetings online, then you should go for it if some of its limitations don't matter that much.

Easy to Connect and Be In Touch

  • June 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about zoom is how easy it is to join and connect to those you want to stay in touch with.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about zoom would be the link is long.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With COVID19, zoom has allowed my office to stay connected to patients. Patients are happy they can still connect to their doctor while still remaining safely at home.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try zoom. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to use and I'm not very tech savvy. My office has implemented it into our patient scheduling with ease.

Helped so much, but could be better!

What do you like best about the product?
I liked the students being able to raise their hands, using instant polling, being able to mute on entry, having chat control, having the ability to change hosts, or assign a co-host.
What do you dislike about the product?
That when I have all students I can't have all videos on or the audio is "glitchy". So we had to spend most of our last three months of school with our video off. I would like better audio and video capability if I were to continue using Zoom in the fall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of not being able to teach in the classroom. I found the whiteboard and screen sharing very beneficial. Using Zoom in conjunction with GoGuardian allowed me to look at my student's screens and help them by using the text tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Play around with the controls first to see what options you have and want before starting your meeting for the first time. Make sure when you are talking your microphone is green and not red (muted) it sounds simple, but you would be surprised how many times people, including myself, forget they are muted.

Powerful, Friendly and Reliable Conferencing

  • June 02, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is one of the best features of Zoom. It's friendly and approachable in ways that Webex and Skype have historically not been. Moreover it's reliable. I've never found Zoom to let me down, whether it's a personal one-on-one call with a friend or a business meeting with 10 or more people present. The product also works on multiple platforms. It's great on the desktop as well as on a smartphone.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not too bad, but Zoom was criticized recently for lack of security compared with competitors. So they jumped in quickly and tightened up the security. For a while it seemed mandatory to have passwords and waiting rooms, and this added layer confused me and the others I wanted to communicate with. More recently it seems to have stabilized. I now use the waiting room feature but don't bother with passwords.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps my small virtual team stay in touch with one another, wherever we live and work. For example my chief developer is in Maine, and I'm in Massachusetts in the U.S. Of course we also use it with clients reviewing the sales and marketing materials we develop. It's screen share feature is powerful and reliable.

Simplest video conferencing tool

  • May 31, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the virtual background options added. Zoom has added the security of meeting rooms with passwords, and it has end-2-end encryption. The Gallery view option to view all the audience is good. Screen sharing is easy. It supports upto 500 people simultaneously. The breakdown of meeting in sub-rooms is a great feature which can be used in remote workshop style sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime just before the meeting, Zoom starts to upgrade. The network sometimes has small audio quality gaps. At the same time, presenting the screen (screen sharing), the person has to stop sharing and allow others to share. No multiple people can share at the same time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom has solved the problem of video quality in a live session. The end-to-end encryption makes it much more secure in discussing sensitive data. For zoom, the web browser-based application is convenient and no need to download the client-side app.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
- Look our for pricing options. Zoom is value for money but there are cheaper options out their.

Zoom has become the go to for meetings

  • May 29, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is fairly easy to use for non-tech people. Very few issues with connectivity and audio lag. zoom. It has many features you can choose to use, such as polls and breakout rooms This has helped keep people engaged during meetings. Not having to use a green screen for a virtual background has been a huge advance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout of all the controls can be a little confusing. Some are bottom left, some top right, some hidden until you know they are there. This can slow down the workflow if you are unfamiliar with the process. A panel of controls in one place would perhaps be more effective. Being able to add a breakout room after the rooms are opened would be a great feature to add. Currently you have to close the rooms and recreate. Also, being able to name the rooms and not have that change when you recreate would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During COVID, this has been the best way to continue group get-togethers and meetings. It allows us to have weekly meetings, use PowerPoint to stay on track, and maintain a connection. The free accounts are great for short meetings and have allowed more to use it in this time of isolation. It has allowed businesses to connect more personally with those outside our normal geographic area. Attending new groups, meetings, and organizations that have formed online has been a great business advantage, and even using zoom to replace local face-to-face meetings has saved countless hours of travel time and bills for expensive coffee.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check out the video tutorials and practice a few times before the meeting. It can be a little tricky finding everything you need to click and practice can be a game changer.

metting experience with zoom has been easiest

  • May 13, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Best thing about the zoom is there is no number of limit for people to attend.
Also you can join meeting just in clicks
links can be generated and shared easily for other people to join without any complications
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few features may be missing like multiple people are on video call but in my phone there is only 4 people I can video view max at a time.
they should add option to see all people in same screen (phone version )
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We basically used it for our corporate meeting so it went well thanks to zoom we were working from ans this was one of the most helpful thing that we came across
recording of the whole meeting was possible for fututre references which helped a lot as the training was conducted over zoom
Recommendations to others considering the product:
May be make it more user friendly like when we open the app I have to unite each time it should be open bu default

The best video chat app I've seen so far

  • April 24, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of things I like about zoom. The app it provides is quite minimal and light, just does what it's supposed to. There are a lot of features like linking to Google calendar and contacts, scheduling meetings, etc. During a chat, the bandwidth usage is considerably low compared to the features it offers live time. You can draw on the screen to discuss something, you can share the screen (and even let someone control your PC!). Clearly, their devs have focused more on providing quality service than random features you might not even use. Even the Android app is quite simple and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their chat feature isn't too developed as other platforms, although they seem to be improving it. There are also some issues when sharing the screen - the zoom interface is one example. When I hide it, pressing Esc brings it back. Esc is a pretty commonly used shortcut for lots of stuff, maybe they can allow us to set a key for bringing it back?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to have quick calls, unlimited one-on-ones, random fun events in groups, and able to communicate properly with my team during work from homes thanks to Zoom.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to video chat, this is the easiest and best option you got. Try it.

Zoom is one of the most reliable meetings tool out there

  • April 23, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I always use Zoom when it comes to conversations online. It's more personal and builds more trust when I am talking with clients or potential clients than chatting over email. It's easy to make presentations and share the most important details about a meeting. I always had a great experience using zoom as an attendee/listener. Every option is easily available and you can find it fast. Sound settings are clear and separate in zoom than on a computer and the setup of speakers and microphone is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes people are not sure how to set up a call and schedule it and send the invite so you need to always copy the ID and password to join which is a little inconvenient, especially If you have a lot of different IDs for other meetings as well. This could be emphasized. The option to raise your hand is a little bit hidden under the part called to participate and would be great if would be better accessible. We cannot send files over zoom anymore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the problem of distant communication and getting more people, connecting with clients, have easy and seamless communication. I use it for online classes as well as for sharing the material. It saves me time and it is really convenient to join I don't need to worry to connect or not as I know it will always work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking to connect with your clients more 1-1 and build instant trust, zoom is an easy-to-use meeting tool. It's reliable and has lot's of options to create a great meeting experience for every party involved.
