What a time for Zoom!

  • April 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is having quite the moment right now! It is easy to use, everyone has heard of it, and you do not have to have a special account for access.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time I have no dislikes. Zoom has solved many of issues we are all facing today while having to work from home and do remote learning for schools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom really has come to everyone's rescue. We are still able to have meetings, take depositions, and perform mediation. The schools are using Zoom for teachers to connect with their students and classmates to connect with each other.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Zoom really has become a household name. This product is something we use everyday.

An Indispensable Tool

  • April 13, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to continue our large meetings (100+) and have audience participation. The user interface is fairly intuitive. I have used Google Meet and Microsoft Teams but have found their UI has a bit of a learning curve. Zoom does an excellent job laying things out in a way that makes it decipherable even when you don't know what to do.

I love the Whiteboard feature. I use an editing tablet to draw illustrations for participants.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot think of anything that I dislike about Zoom. There could be improvements such as allowing hosts and co-hosts to participate in polls, sharing computer audio to Breakout Rooms, prioritizing participants with active video w/o removing other participants from the screen, and identifying the creator of annotations when the screen is being shared.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a large meeting (100+) twice a week and smaller meetings (10+) throughout the week. We have been able to maintain our schedule without missing a beat and without losing participation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get acquainted with all of the options as administrator. For a more seamless and fluid experience we find that having an administrator and an assistant works best.

ZOOM VIDEO CONFERENCE CLASSROOMS

  • April 07, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
I started to use ZOOM for my THEATRE THEORY classes during the Coronavirus. I have been able to teach my students all in their 60s, 70s,80s,and 90s. how to download the app and then click a link in an email to join my class. The service has been easy for me to use and easy for them to understand. I can share my screen and show them videos and when it comes time for us to read a play out loud, I can "unmute" each persons microphone so that they can read aloud. I like that each time I teach my class, I can have students play parts, but when we tried to read a musical and have several different people try to play instruments at once... the microphones could not all pick up each instrument..
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that is disappointing is that I have a 40 minute time limit. My classes are free right now, and I can not charge anyone for the monthly fee. I would have to pay the fee to teach my three classes at the three different places that I teach. Two being non-profits. Wish you could make it available to non-profit use for free...wish there was a way to have more than one person "talk" at the same time? I was working on a musical and I had one person playing piano and another playing percussion and I wish there was a way to be able to blend both of their sound/audio files for the rest of us in the room... who may be singing, in this instance...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to reach many more people with ZOOM than I was with my in-person classes. People are trying out my class that had never tried it before. We could not meet for my Theatre Theory Classes because of the Coronavirus, with the access of ZOOM I can continue to teach and we can all connect. Many of my students are single and in their 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s... Zoom has made it easy for those that are alone at this time get some respite from their solitiude...

Easy-to-Use Chat and Video Conferencing

  • April 07, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Our company switched from Microsoft Business Skype to Zoom 9 or 10 months ago. Zoom is so much easier to use and so much more consistent for all our users. We are all encouraged to use video for our meetings even BEFORE the COVID-19 stay-at-home/work from home happened. Video meetings are so much more insightful than just voice calls. We can get a real "read" from people's expressions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The recent issue with people showing up uninvited to our video meetings has solved itself with Zoom's addition of the password protection. This is still made easy by the link we send out to others in our meetings has a link with the password built in, so all they have to do still is click the link. If an uninvited person tries to get in, they are prompted for a password, that they won't have. Many of us use the "green screen" technology to show pictures or videos in our background. Never had seen this before with any other tool. It works OK, but still needs a bit of work. But, that feature is optional to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Zoom for meetings, phone calls, chat, screen-sharing, and all of our virtual training courses right now. We use the break-out room features for some of our virtual training courses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just a great easy-to-use product. I'd highly recommend it.

Good performance, state of the art features and seamless video conferencing

  • April 07, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It handles network loads very nicely. Even there are 100+ users for one meeting. I really like the "presenting slides as virtual background" feature. It is a game changer in online teaching.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are lot of discussions going on about the privacy of this. But I think there is a fix from Zoom team addressing the issue. And also there are lot of articles circulating in the internet saying there are lot of zoom leaked passwords are for sale!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Video conferencing in low network bandwidth is the biggest advantage i get from this tool. However, zoom latest updates handle it nicely. Participants get a message if their network is slow so they are aware that it is their network issue, nit a zoom problem.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are just video conferencing try this. But don’t use it for private and personal video calls. Use separate password for zoom login. And always update your zoom version.

Great video conferencing software

  • April 01, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very smooth and we can add our own virtual background while on a video call. It can be synced with google calendar where we can schedule a meeting or join one. Recording is also one good feature. This is just an awesome software.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have only 40 minutes of call time which can be annoying at times. If we have network issues then there is a lag on the video call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can share screens which is a fantastic feature. We can have multiple meetings on zoom. The integration with google calendar makes meetings seamless.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for the this software as it is very easy to use and one of the best video conferencing softwares. It is better if you upgrade zoom so you can continue your call after 40 minutes.

My Online learning Experience with ZOOM

  • March 31, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zoom application is easy to use, there are not many complex things to do to use it.
There is a mobile application, Desktop application is available as well as I could use Zoom through a web browser also.
Zoom has a free plan and it is enough for small to medium level video conferences.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want a meeting of more than 40 minutes continuously uses, Zoom free plan is not enough. Need to buy one of the paid versions. Considering other available alternatives it seems Zoom is somewhat expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to covid situation, many of us work from our homes. So to meet and discuss we wanted a platform. Among many of them, Zoom provides many tools which make our work easy. Like screen share, hand rising, file sharing etc. So we continuously use zoom for our meetings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We have been using zoom for 3 years now. So far there are no cons to this software. Now it is becoming more and more popular because it has many features. You can use the free version and if you have a large scale of meetings you can go with the paid version.

Flawless connection, even in time of COVID-19

  • March 21, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I don't think I've ever attended a Zoom meeting where there was any problem with the connection, even with an overloaded internet. I also value the user-friendly features for chat, "hand raising," showing your own desktop, and seeing the faces of the participants.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were a way to keep all the faces in view. When they're big enough to see well, you have to scroll through to see the folks whose faces won't fit on the screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Church "coffee hour" in the time of COVID-19, large and small group meetings for church and 350 Chicago. Sometimes planning meetings for the (hopefully going to happen) May 2 Kids' Climate Summit. Lots of webinars. I haven't had to run any of these, but after our trial 350 Chicago meeting, I think I could, and I'm not super savvy with technology.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's hard to beat the price for the features offered by Zoom. Even the free version offers a lot, and for about $15/month we get more service than we may ever use.

Zoom Review

  • March 10, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the convenience and ease for users. It's very user friendly, so clients are able to click and connect.
What do you dislike about the product?
For people who use phones or tablets, you have to download the application. Sometimes this creates a hassle. Also, I wish their recording options were a bit more extensive. The free storage with the monthly subscription is not enough sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to create a global network with programs we offer at our school. Zoom has numerous benefits. We use it on a weekly basis. It has allowed us to grow clients and students, having access to people outside of our geographic location.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I believe Zoom offers a free version. Definitely give that a try. You can get a lot of its great features using that, but monthly subscriptions are also affordable for business.

Zoom Just Works, for Conferences, Product Demonstrations, Customer Support, and So Much More

  • March 10, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Screen sharing is easy, and very responsive. You can use the chat window to exchange messages with the whole group, or to send private messages to one or more participants. Chat sessions are automatically saved. All or part of a meeting can be recorded, and the recording is a standard MP4 file that you can keep or share. You can mute your microphone if you need to say something private or answer a phone call.
What do you dislike about the product?
Audio is occasionally and intermittently erratic, sounding like a record is being played at the wrong speed. The control panel occasionally hides itself, and the main window sometimes shrinks drastically and unexpectedly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
About the only thing afforded by traditional remote support programs that you cannot do with Zoom is file transfer, but there are plenty of ways to get around that limitation for remote support and other file sharing needs. This enables me to use it for internal support issues, in addition to supporting paying customers, conducting product demonstrations, internal brainstorming sessions, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you contemplate using it with HubSpot, you will want a company account.
