What do you like best about the product?
Has a lot of cool features, such as group messaging, virtual backgrounds, screen sharing with computer and mobile screens, and broadcasting to the web or YouTube. I use this frequently for work and academic reasons. It is very easy to use without the need for much tutorials
What do you dislike about the product?
Very expensive, so some things are not the best quality unless you are willing to pay for some features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Video conferencing allows meetings and reconnections among many workplace and school settings. This platform mostly blossomed during the pandemic, but it creates solutions even post social distancing. There is the ease of communcation from long distances and for convenience.

Finally, a full service app for meetings!
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is that you can quickly and easily use a green screen for backgrounds! No more fighting with settings and adjustments. I have completely eliminated the use of chroma key in Adobe Premiere, when it comes to creating my YouTube content. So much editing has been eliminated by using Zoom.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that I haven't been able to find a way to record a two-person interview from both sides. Right now, only the host can record, to the best of my knowledge. However, I am still getting used to the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom eliminates the need for tedious editing. Most of the video is complete before it evens goes into the post-production phase. When I discovered that I could simply record Myself (stand-alone) without being in a meeting, I was elated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a quick and easy Meeting app with a minimalistic UI, this is the way to go. It offers screen sharing, file transfer, and phone-in audio (as well as audio recording from the computer, which a must for Mac). It's free and has yet to cause any issues for me. I wish I had had this in my life sooner!

I don't have any current dislikes. I've only used to join meetings or webinars set up by others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The app allows me to be present at a meeting without having to actually travel to a specific location.
I wouldn't want to live without Zoom
What do you like best about the product?
I find it to have the most dependable video streaming. I use their screen sharing daily. I also love that it can scale up into webinars that include landing pages and the ability to create breakout rooms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only occasionally there are video quality issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I meet with virtual associates and it's a keep part of having a collaborative team without being in the same physical place.
Best thing Ever
What do you like best about the product?
This is the best tool ever; this is something that I must have. I am involved in a lot of things that zoom is incorporated into my life almost every single day! I use it for school because most of my classes are online, so other students and I get together and have study sessions. I use it for forex trading my mentors have a live meeting almost every single night, and I present and also held learning conferences for my team. Lastly, I run a 24hr tow business dispatcher are allowed to work from home certain days of the week, some drivers are in the truck, and some are resting, so everyone is not together at one time this is how we hold weekly staff meetings no reason for your absence.
What do you dislike about the product?
When in the meeting on ios app video goes away when you hit the home screen I think it should minimize in the corner of the screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can't live without it
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it and I guarantee you will love it
Has improved usability a lot over the past two years
What do you like best about the product?
Zoom is easy to use for users who have low computer literacy but also has lots of customizations and additional features for users who want to do more with the software. For example, there is no download required for someone who joins the meeting. They can simply click on the link from their web browser to join a call (no app download required) or call in from their phone. But if users want more features, there is an almost endless list of features and customizations available. Some of my favorites are the mobile app, the ability to use virtual backgrounds, the flexibility and customization with the zoom waiting room feature, the transcript feature, and closed captions to increase accessibility. The list is endless.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really like the virtual background feature. It works really well for the vast majority of my team and is really helpful when we are all working from home and need to still have professional backgrounds. However, those on my team who have very curly hair have had more difficulty with this feature because it tends to cut off our hair. This is unfortunate because it's a really helpful feature. I hope that this is updated in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zoom helps us to bring together teams from across the country to do everything from improving our understanding of UX/UI problems, troubleshooting technical problems, and meeting to brainstorm solutions to technical and operational problems. Zoom helps our team to problem-solve and align virtually from anywhere in the world.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Install the zoom Google Calendar integration. It will make it much easier for your users.
It's Great Sometimes and Other Times, Not so Great
What do you like best about the product?
We use Zoom almost every day. We have remote employees that sit in on Monday morning meetings using Zoom. We have clients outside our immediate market that we conduct meetings with using Zoom. Many of our potential clients also setup Zoom meetings with us to perform preliminary discovery phone calls. Remote employees feel more like a part of the team when they're included in on company meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that gets a little confusing at times is which meeting link we're supposed to be using. Since we use it so much, we lose track of what's what sometimes. But that's a fairly minor complaint compared to all the benefits that outweigh it! The recording features are sometimes a bit unreliable. There were a couple of instances where we were using Zoom to present a webinar and thought we had the screen and laptop camera recording the presentation, but when we were finished we realized it hadn't recorded the audio from the person presenting. That may have been user error, but would have loved to see some sort of notification from Zoom as to what was being recorded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're shrinking the world and bringing inside our office walls. We're removing the barrier of time and space and getting work completed more quickly and easily. Paired with our Owl 360 camera, Zoom is a must have for any business, large or small!

Consolidate your world and bring others to you. :)
All around strong solution
What do you like best about the product?
To be honest, the BEST part about Zoom is the ease of use. For the MOSt part, it's download, click and go... and sometimes, you even skip the dowload. Running from the browser limits some functionality for users, but at least your clients will be able to enter, even if they're on a Chromebook.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I would change about Zoom would be to include the ability to dial out (call someone else's phone number) in the basic level subscription. I would use absolutely this feature.
One other issue is that the Zoom app needs to be updated, and I don't get the notifications every time. I try to stay on top of checking for updates, but to be honest, I'm busy and have other things to think about. Suddenly, I've got a client who's having all kinds of trouble entering the meeting... because *they* haven't updated. A big pop-up reminder to update might be mildly annoying in the moment, but 100% worth it in the long run.

My clients are remote and, often, not tech-comfy. Other software solutions, well, just didn't work for THEM (so they didn't work for me). Zoom is so simple, it's been an all around success with my tech-shy clients. Even my computer phobic clients have smart phones, and are able to make a Zoom "call." The first successful call has them hooked. They LIKE to see me, and quickly, they are teleconferencing like it's nothing. THEN - we can focus on the work (hooray)!
The ability to record Zoom meetings is a nice plus. It creates a static memory that anyone can go back and check. This has been helpful both for myself and for the clients.
Screen sharing is SO easy. Again, not only am I able to share the screen, but my non-tech-savvy clients have been able to do so as well and they even "lived through it." No scarring! There are some nice tools to annotate directly onto whatever is being shared.
The video and audio controls are simple to use and very helpful. Uploading an avatar or profile picture can allow you to start a meeting early in case one of the other attendees wants to pop in, and step away from your computer without worrying about someone arriving to see an empty chair.
I'm also a fan of the ability to schedule meetings. I appreciate the ease of putting these scheduled meetings into my calendar (I use GSuite) and invite others to the calendar event. This sends them ALL the information they need to access the meeting: links, phone numbers, and meeting ID in addition to day and time.

Try it. JUST DO IT. You can get a free account. Now, this limits your meeting length. Test yourself and see how often you go past that meeting length. When you are working so well you forget about the tool - that's a GOOD tool.

Security Issues: Zoom faced security and privacy concerns, especially in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Issues like "Zoombombing," where uninvited participants disrupted meetings, prompted the company to enhance its security features.
Privacy Concerns: Some users have raised privacy concerns regarding data collection and sharing. Zoom has updated its privacy policy and implemented measures to address these issues, but privacy remains a consideration for some users.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If you are looking for quality and stability, Zoom is your alternative.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can record the video conference on your computer or in a cloud service (if you have a plan other than the free one) directly provided by Zoom. Remember that to record another person you need your consent. As in the other two programs, you can easily share files during class or share the screen to use in explanations with the whiteboard.
Excellent
What do you like best about the product?
Sound quality, ease of use, screen sharing, the ability to host meetings without being present (i.e. set up an automatic host and then let participants join without having to be manually let in).
What do you dislike about the product?
More granularity in managing permissions would be helpful. For example, allowing participants to record without the host's permission (i.e., allowing people to start a recording without the host having to be present and give permission manually).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Call quality is better than Skype for Business. Connecting is easier too. The screen sharing runs smoothly, which is a major plus. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work in some countries, so we often have to switch to Google Meet to accommodate participants who have trouble downloading the Zoom app or who can't connect via the web. The installed app can be a bit cumbersome to work with, but on the plus side, has a lot of features. It would be great if it allowed more management of permissions so the user / admin doesn't have to switch between the installed desktop app and the web browser account page.
