Great online CAT tool!
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use, fast and straightforward. The layout is simple and very intuitive, especially for those already familiar with other CAT tools.
The option of a desktop version is also great for larger tasks, when/if you prefer to use a software rather than their online, web-based environment. Overall, that's the best online, cloud-based CAT tool I have used.

What do you dislike about the product?
From the translator point of view (i.e., not the Project Manager) the Translation Memory management could be a bit better. Sometimes, searching for a single term or short phrase not included in the glossary can be challenging. Instead, the tool seems to only compare the whole segment with the TM.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides an effective solution to work with our company's localisation needs across different languages and projects. I am responsible for the Brazilian Portuguese translations, being assigned tasks by our Localistion Manager twice a week through Phrase. The workflow is always seamless and Phrase's daily usage is straightforward, efficient and convenient.
So far the best combination of online-ness, speed and convenience
What do you like best about the product?
First of foremost, currently it's one of the fastest and most convenient online tools. It combines speed with acceptable UI/UX (which in the case of online tools is RARE), as well as convenient access to most resources typically used during translation. I don't have any choice as far as frequency of use is concerned but when I have to choose between customers, I will always choose the one using Phrase.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are two things missing that are present in the known competitors' products and could still be upgraded:
- e-mail notifications about comments: I'm also working in one of the competitors' products and that GREATLY enhances the speed of communication;
- the layout enabling to see more actual content from TM, glossary and comments at once: I understand that there is not much space but still the main factor why I'm using offline Trados at all is that I can see more (and MORE OF) different sources AT ONCE, without any clicking, scrolling etc. in comparison to any online tool. I believe this problem could be solved - please just have a look at a translator working with multiple sources in Trados offline mode and do your best to eliminate things like moving window borders, scrolling or clicking to change pane views.

Fast searching in translation memories and glossaries, retrieving already translated content, organizing views and using advanced filtering and sorting.
Great multiplatform cat tool
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most is that I can use the tool on both Mac and windows, because everything is stored on the web itself. This makes it easy for me to work from multiple devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price could be a little cheaper, but it is in the average of the same tools on the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compatibility problems between operating systems of other cat tools. That's what made me choose this tool. My quality of work has improved a lot
Best CAT Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Auto save. Excelent CAT recognition.

Cannot delete TB by the user. Sometimes occur TB dupliates.

Smooth Setup and Stellar Machine Translation
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the Phrase Localization Platform for its intuitive and user-friendly interface, which provided an absolutely smooth setup experience. We never encountered any technical issues during the initial deployment, which speaks volumes about its usability and reliability. The platform excels in offering powerful automation features that are incredibly beneficial for our engineering content localization and translation processes, catering to multiple languages such as German, English, Spanish, and Russian. The high volume of repetitive content in our technical documentation necessitates automation to boost efficiency, and Phrase effectively meets this need. I find the combination of its pricing, comprehensive toolset, and customer attention to be remarkable, ensuring high customer retention and satisfaction. The most valuable features that stand out are its use of different machine translation engines, enhanced by AI developed by Phrase, which significantly enhances our machine translations and is a testament to the platform's cutting-edge capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am somewhat frustrated by the lack of free educational resources such as webinars, master classes, or workshops focused on the AI-enabled features of the platform. While there are several resources available, they are often not free of charge. Having access to free educational tools would enhance client engagement and provide valuable insights into the platform's capabilities. Additionally, I would appreciate more transparency and explainability regarding how the AI-powered tools were created, which would help users understand and leverage them more effectively.

I use the platform to automate translation of repetitive engineering content, streamlining processes and supporting multiple languages efficiently.
A CAT that everyone would love to have
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Phrase (formerly Memsource) for a few years as a preferred CAT tool for various translation agencies. It's easy to use and intuitive, and the QA process is made easy making sure you don't miss any mistypes or errors. Concordance search is also simplified in the new version allowing for faster project completion.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not common, but sometimes the QA process flags source text errors and doesn't let you complete the project. It's probably something to fix in the next versions of the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First and foremost it allows you to take your work anywhere with you, since you can access your projects from any PC.
An Excellent Localisation Platform for LSPs
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing for me in Phrase is its intuitive and user-friendly interface which has plenty of customization options as well.

That it does not support project packages (SDLPPX) from SDL Trados

Phrase is a solution of all the project related worries be it file formats, inbuilt MT, localisation or formatting of output file.

What do you like best about the product?
Phrase is a very powerful tool and it is that helps students learn the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the translation and localization industry. It is amazing how easy it is to use and manage different projects. As an educator, I find Phrase the ideal tool to teach a general view of the many different tasks involved in any translation or localization project. The fact of having all of its features online mkes the implementation very easy as well, and the support given to educators is also a plus.

A version that could run on the students' computers could be useful.

Memsource is a very intuitive and user friendly cat tool
What do you like best about the product?
I have used the cloud-based version of Memsource to translate/edit texts as a linguist. The Translation Memory and Termbase are easily incorporated into the project on the right and can be readily used. The shortcuts for translation and editing are easy to remember. The tags are easy to handle. Uncomplicated interface and fast when it comes to productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not remember of any drawbacks. I am not sure how it will behave with large and complicated files.

The user interface is self-explanatory, which makes it easy to use.

Sometimes, the matches and suggestions are not being loaded from the resources. But there is nothing I really dislike.

I can easily see matches and suggestions from the resources, I am using the term base.
