Great learning opportunity
What do you like best about the product?
That you have all the resources you need and easily identifiable.

Soon it will not be for free, which wil limit some people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You can have all the material and memories of your past trasnlations in one place. It saves time and cognitive resources.
Functional tool and competent support for international use cases
What do you like best about the product?
Integration of various machine translation providers to be able to handle all kinds of translations automatically and dependent on the source and target language.
What do you dislike about the product?
The handling of individual exceptions is not that easy. If you want a specific key not translated to all languages and keep this text in all others other as it is without translation (like names) this is a little bit hard.
Also from time to time it happens that a key cannot be translated and you have to change it so it can - initially to get the quickest results I have to auto-translate all 20+ languages through the UI - a button "machine translate this key to all other languages" would be helpful - maybe this even works somehow automatically but the process seems to be hidden and can only be checked by the results (which are most likely good).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have an international marketplace with a UI that supports 20+ different languages. We do only have native speakers for a few of them and rely on machine translation to have at least a good start for the customers before we get their feedback for punctual manual improvements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you need a tool to handle a lot of different translations - especially automatic ones, you can trust phrase with it - at least we can since around a year now ;)

Great translation and localization platform
What do you like best about the product?
It's a great tool that will help your company to seamlessly build your translation workflows. I like to UI for the translation jobs, which is different from other TMS, in this case, Memsource excels on that.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would improve the reporting dashboard and the search TM term interface because it's hard to find one single term for one single language if you have tons of languages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Localization problems was the principal issue for the company now it's being solved by setting up different configurations within the tool, which makes easier the whole translation process.

Machine Translation quality is good.

Some admin features are missing from the Phrase UI, like the possibility to group users into projects and filter access based on those groups

Phrase allows us to automatically translate our web and mobile applications at build/compile time and also offers a very user friendly UI for translators

What do you like best about the product?
You can put different filters, which makes the work easier, and you can see the preview of what you’re doing. Additionally, you can see the history of translations of different jobs.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can search for old jobs by job name, but sometimes you have to change a word to another word, and that word can be in a lot of jobs, and to find it easier, it would be great if you could type in a word into the search you want to translate and the system will provide you with all completed jobs where this word existed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Context function that exists is really helpful. Sometimes you translate sentences and want to know how this sentence will be shown for our partners and here Context function is really great to solve this problem.
The best CAT tool in my experience
What do you like best about the product?
Standard interface and shortcuts, so you work there intuitively after other CATs without having the "swearing day" first. Good QA feature that catches number mismatches. The glossary also works flawlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not found found yet. However, I only used it on the vendor side, never on project management or company owner side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I worked with it as a vendor with a translation agency, and definitely plan to switch most of my work there. It saves a lot of time and effort, especially on the revision stage, and not every CAT does it that efficiently.
Powerful tools with an easy-to use interface
What do you like best about the product?
Allows us to manage multiple languages across multiple projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be hard to 'undo' bigger changes, so you just need to be careful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The application we manage uses 8 languages, including variations on French, Spanish and Chinese. Phrase allows us to customize translations for all languages and take into account subtle differences in regional dialects.

Inability to assign users to specific projects only if you are not the owner of the account

What do you like best about the product?
I believe this is one of the best localization tools. It makes really easy to cooperate with other translators and proofreaders. And the teamwork goes more effectively when you can share your thoughts and offers with your team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
The glossary is not suitable for plural forms in some languages, but I believe this is a common problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes the localization process easier and lets you make it in connection with other team members. The work is more productive and fun.
Phrase is a great tool to free developers from translation work

the UI is great, the website is clear, so all users are quickly autonomous.

Randomly we are facing some issue with the webhooks

The developers don't need to handle translation updates, the skate holders can freely update the website content.
