Time savior tool for localization
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Phrase is it is quick and easy. Multiple sites I can load in the minimum amount of time.
The UI is simple and intuitive, anyone can easily perform the needed task without any guidance.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue I have found is with the ability to identify duplicated strings could be improved. As sometimes it does find duplicated strings and while replacing them by implementing a key, it takes time to publish it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase made it easy and quick to translate to another language, although it is much easier to set up and the translation is quick which saves our sprint time. We can instantly change the language of our sites within no time.
Besides the ease of use of Memsource, & their constant innovation, their customer service is a 10.
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Memsource is constantly growing and providing more and better features. They are consistently adding new MT engines which make their products an absolute must!
What do you dislike about the product?
This probably does not apply to most companies but at any given time we dispatch 1500 jobs at a time and every now and then there are issues which is totally understandable. This is something that I have shared with the Developers and they have graciously helped me through it and I have seen significant improvement in performance in the last year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a translation management platform, Memsource makes it easy to quickly keep track of progress at a project level and helps us easily re-use our translation memory for new projects.

The desk version allows working offline. Good QA tool.

Issues with login and sync to the server.

What do you like best about the product?
The webinar for Memsource - Intro for Project Managers gave a lot of good information. Creating a job template is most useful for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, it would be nice to see sections broken down further. For the sake of training, some items were preselected. It would have been good for him to explain what each thing was for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need help in creating a client portal. When I went through the video on the Memsource YouTube channel, it has sections that are not available for me to select.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We are still in the process of rolling out. As we experience kinks, we reach out to Memsource to find resolutions.
Easy-to-use tool, great for users with myopia
What do you like best about the product?
This tool provides all features I need for legal translation. The UI is not overloaded. There is enough air. My eyes don't get tired. I feel that it is easier for me to work in Memsource than in Trados.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have a menu option for quick insertion of m-dash and n-dash.

Memsource helps me to reduce eye strain, I can do more work during the day and earn more money.

You can get to work at once, upload a document and start is very easy. The mobile app is great help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features take a while to discover and learn. The overview of different alternatives as a new customer could've been better (maybe this is changed, I used the alt. to pay for a certain amount of words a couple of years ago, since then I only received projects already in the system from customer)

about 10 years with Memsource
What do you like best about the product?
About 10 years age, possibility to start with free version was very helpful for me in making decision to pay for a license. I could compare it with OmegaT and Trados. I preferred Memsource as it is really user-friendly and not overloaded with features unnecessary for me. I use only desktop version of Memsource on my MacOS devices. One more important thing is very friendly, fast, and helpfull technical support!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some missing featrues that coud make my work faster and easier. For instance, hotkey for Clear Filter opertation, hotkeys for switching between tabs in the right side of the Memsource Editor window (CAT, Search, QA). It is also impossible to use keybord to select an item with No. exceeding 9 in CAT tab using only keyboard, (not to spart time taking hand off keyboard and using mouse)

It is an indispensable tool for me when dealing with various texts and presentations. Memsource allows successfully translating MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel, html and xml files, as well as files exported from the other CAT-tools. Memsource allows a number of Machine Translation options.
Intuitive, uncomplicated, unintrusive translation tool
What do you like best about the product?
Memsource is a powerful translation tool offering selectable, post-editable automatic translation using the MT engines of your choice. The easy, intuitive user interface does not detract from the translator's creative processes. Accessible in the Cloud from any device, 100% uptime. I explored the functions of the mobile app when my computer was down and was able to continue translating, even using dictation mode, while resolving my IT issues. I continue to enjoy mobile accessibility because I can always maximise my use of time, wherever I am. Some clients also appreciate the chance to see a segmented bilingual version of their text for ease of comparison, so I offer them this along with the final translated document. I can also offer a downloaded tmx for corporate clients.

What do you dislike about the product?
Tags and compatibility can be an issue for any translation tool, as can segment splitting. For example, idml files are not always easy to work with in Memsource due to the multiple tags generated. However, compatibility issues tend to be minimal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clients generally want a quick turnaround and Memsource radically speeds up my translation processes. Clients also want an excellent quality document in the same format as the original and Memsource gives me that. Some of the translation agencies I work with want a tmx and I can offer them that with Memsource.
Probably the best online CAT tool

1. Project dashboard - makes all the projects and their progress straightforward.
2. Automation Widget - allows me to send the portal to anyone in the company to submit requests.
3. Online Editor - very easy to use.
4. Quite many integrations.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Built-in QA - not as good as Xbench. Sometimes it even misses obvious misspellings.
2. Unable to upload and link screenshots for each segment, which is not as convenient as Lokalise.
3. Hopefull Memsource can add Live Chat for instant support in the future.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Memsource helps us optimize the entire localization process, from request submission > analysis > assign linguists > monitor progress > QA > maintain assets. Relly makes it more efficient and automated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you prefer a lightweight online CAT to handle documentation translations, Memsource is the one.
Not just another CAT tool
What do you like best about the product?
Having worked as a translator for 20+ years, and having worked with and paid for Trados, MemoQ etc., I sighed when a client asked me to learn Memsource. But I was pleasantly surprised! It's easy to use for anyone and the lightning-fast filtering capabilities are great for better consistency within a text.
What do you dislike about the product?
The QA checks are a bit rigid and hard to get an overview of. I would especially appreciate a more intuitive way of handling/checking variant translations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I actually ended up getting the paid version, because of the great import filters for Adobe InDesign. Most other tools charge extra for this and some even need cumbersome workarounds to achieve the same thing. Recommended!

It's not just another tool. It's just as good as Trados or MemoQ; in fact, it is even easier to use.
