Very easy to work with and friendly
What do you like best about the product?
The different tools to review, QA, organize settings and projects.

Nothing until now, everything is working smoothly and nice.

QA projects, review other past projects and have TM and TB to use for future translations.
Working with Phrase as a freelance translator
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase is easy to learn and to use for translators. I have been working with Phrase for about 6 years now. The interface is user-friendly and clearly arranged. I also absolved the certification program and learned of the endless possibilities the TMS offers in project management and automation. Really awesome. I normally don't use this features as a freelance translator, but they helped me to understand industry processes and more.
Working with tags is also very easy with Memsource, it's great for localization jobs.

What do you dislike about the product?
The translation suggestions are not flexible. As with almost every translation tool, you get a TM or MT suggestion that is "fixed" and does not chance while translating. There are already tools on the market where the suggestions change while translating. The AI adapts the suggestion constantly to the changes you work in a sentence (like grammer), with the possibility to add it by only hitting the enter button, speeding up the translation process a lot. I would like to see this feature in Phrase, too. Would be the perfect tool!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Phrase I create fast translations for different clients. I have various Memsource accounts with several clients and don't have to switch between different tools so often.

An excellent overall tool for localization and post-editing jobs requiring collaboration in linguistic teams
Memsource is an invaluable tool for CAT tools instruction at university level
What do you like best about the product?
CAT tools teaching at university level has become an integral part of teaching translation. Memsource offers excellent academic licenses, and it is cloud-based.

There is nothing I didn't like. It is an excellent tool.

Students learn CAT tools quickly thanks to Memsource, and can access it from any computer, from home, or at university, which is a huge benefit.
Easy to use. Can work from anywhere.
What do you like best about the product?
I prefer Memsource over Trados because there is no need to purchase or download any software. I can work from anywhere as long as I can securely access the Internet. Memsource app is also nice to have when I don't have my laptop with me.

It would be nice if it allowed me to work offline too.

Translation memory helps me a lot. I can refer back to the previous translations and have consistency.

I like that it's easy to use. The appearance is clear, it's in the cloud so you don't have to worry about storing files and TMs

I am not sure yet how to manage the TM and TB myself, I can work only if the PM manages these

All my files are there when I need them. I didn't have to go through challenging training courses to learn to use it.

So much easier to use, no need for challenging trainings, everything is stored in the cloud, easy to manage projects

What do you like best about the product?
Its simple way to handle projects. Any beginner can use it without any problems or complications. Also for reviewers it is a very good tool to overlook the material.

I am working on memsource since 7 years and really till now i find no matters to dislike it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I got the following benefits: translation, revision, overlooking the progress in every task, a real sight in the final target file, updating the online TM. All these benefits made it easier for me to overcome the complications of the other CAT tools or even the cloud tools.

I recommend every linguist or translator to try to use it and get the benefits of Memsource.

I appreciate the computer-assisted translation (CAT) software capabilities, user-friendly interface, and Memsource Translate MT engine.

I have not experienced any downsides so far.

Memsource allows for excellent workflow management and translation using their CAT tool.

First of all the fact that you don't need to buy and download anything.
Phrase works like most (expensive) CAT tools, it's easy to use and intuitive. I also appreciate the mobile app, which allows you to work a little bit when you're on the go and works very well with the microphone (much easier than writing on the phone keyboard to me).

Nothing. I used to have some issues with the mobile app but everything has been fixed now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No more need to buy a CAT Tool and learn to use all its complicated features. And in case of problems, I don't need to solve them by myself.

Segmentation makes it easier to identify bits that may need editing.

Sometimes difficult to follow flow of text to determine best way to translate a particular term.
