Phrase (and its GitHub integration) really improved the communication between devs and UX writers
What do you like best about the product?
I loved how easy it is for UX writers to create new translations and sync them with GitHub so we were able to automate the whole translations deployment in both web and mobile apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to have a faster search engine for filtering and finding keys whenever we need them. Also some other totally non-vital features such as a list of recently changed keys and a way of automatically detecting changes and syncing with GitHub without human intervention.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Phrase for creating translations for our 12 supported countries and automatically deploy them within our release pipelines. Also, we're using Phrase for storing a history of our release notes of our mobile apps, which are automatically attached to the binaries when deploying to production.
Without Memsource, my job wouldn't be the same.
What do you like best about the product?
Memsource is a really strong and well-defined CAT tool, and it's by far the greatest cloud-based solution I've ever used. I would recommend it to translators for projects in which an intuitive user interface is critical to productivity because it is incredibly straightforward to understand and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't have a manual that you can refer to when you first start using it; you simply need to learn how it works by doing so. Also, customizable colors would be a plus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in a small LSP with not many tolls. I can use Memsource and save some money because it can be used both for translations management, invoices, translation memories, and term bases.
A clever solution to manage localization
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to upload multiple keys at once from a simple spreadsheet. The Figma-integrated features where strings can be pulled and pushed from Figma to Phrase and vice-versa without manual work.
Update: I like the new interface that debuted last year. Previously, it resembled Microsoft Word but it looks sleek now — especially with dark mode. Love how I can see all translations along with the source content of a key easily. The different ways to search for keys are useful (by key name, key value, or Phrase tag), though it would be nice to have a way to search for keys tagged with a certain word or Phrase without providing the exact Phrase tag.

What do you dislike about the product?
The screenshot feature is buggy. When I try to tag keys to a screenshot, the tool crashes at times. Also, the size of the screenshot displayed during the key-tagging area is sometimes too big and cumbersome to tag keys efficiently — I don't know why this happens many times. Sometimes it works fine.
Update: the Phrase-Figma plugin works better now. Previously, it was impossible to run the plugin to pull content from multiple Figma screens to Phrase. Now, it's possible for our teams to use this plugin as our official process to update content between Figma and Phrase. There's still room to improvement here in terms of speed though.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems solved: using Figma as the single source of truth for content without relying on spreadsheets. Benefits: having a 360 view of my content on Phrase without having to manually update Figma everytime I make content changes + potential ability to manage a content design system on Phrase, albeit with limitations
Memsource
What do you like best about the product?
As a project manager I like the ease of creating accounts, projects, and jobs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would appreciate it if the machine translation feature would be forced to use the terms in my terminology, but this is probably something Memsource has no control over.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Memsource ensures consistency and finding previously used translations of phrases in addition to single words.

I can highly recommend Memsource.

Not enough options to edit a text; some buttons shall be more visible.

Much easier to translate large files with many numbers and repetitions, which results in higher productivity and higher financial gain.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how the UI displays. It's easy to navigate and is user-friendly—a great tool to manage translations that have multiple spaces and projects. I would highly recommend it!
What do you dislike about the product?
Machine learning for languages could be better. I have had some issues with exporting keys and having to compare verified keys manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It streamlines the translation process. Connecting all relevant stakeholders to ensure the digital product is updated in an efficient manner.
A valuable tool!
What do you like best about the product?
It is great to have a tool like Memsource with so many useful resources for translators to get the job done. It is hard to highlight just one, but the ability to use it online, without the need to install anything on your computer, along with the possibility to use it on a Mac, my number one computer for translating, is the one I love the most.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search and replace function is available only in the desktop version and it really would be useful if it was also available in the web version. Please think about implementing it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The freedom to use my prefered computer, which is a Mac, without having to install a VM to use Windows-based software is the main problem I'm solving with Memsource. It saves me time as I don't have to wait for Windows anymore.

YOu should consider Memsource especially if you want to be free from Windows.

I am writing from Hacettepe University (Türkiye). First of all, I would like to thank you for your cooperation by presenting the memsource software to us. Memsource cloud is easy to use, efficient and advanced software. Our students often tell us that they are very happy to step into the world of translation software through the memsource academic license. It's a very good experience for them. It is now a necessity to acquire the knowledge and skills of CAT tools, which are necessary in professional life, through courses at the university. We like memsource. Memsource has a very easy interface. So, the students can easly learn it. Il is also amazing to teach memsource cloud to our students.

It has advantages in speed, quality and terminological support.

What do you like best about the product?
The dinamic and speed that helps us in our routines so atribulated with work and acomplishments. The tools of search are very useful. Compared to the competitors you are the best!

The colors is not so pretty. I think the layout should be more beautiful. The tools are sometimes very slow. Being more beautiful and opmtizing tools it will become a great software.

My problems with resource and the memory nare being solutionated with this software. Academic researches are being very stimulated because the work of the software is very helpful.

It gonna help you with translations works. You can organize your translations. The software conects you with the more famous translators tool on internet. You can also schedule your files and plan your work.
Great product
What do you like best about the product?
All around a great product that will help a lot of people translate with no characters limit and great pricing (the fact that the price is static makes it really interesting!)
What do you dislike about the product?
As the product is still in its Early phases, it can have some sorts of incoherent translations but I think its expected since Im not using english as a primary language.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All sorts of translation in a subreddit forum that I use to extract IT information about spreadsheets and dashboards.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good overall product, but if your text needs to be cristal clear I suggest that you go over it after its done, I picked up some incoherent translations or meanings.
