Phrase has the translation tools I need

TM, TB, QA, export/import bilingual, Concordance search
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see how to embed external links e.g. to launch another chrome window for research

Familiar CAT tool that I can use for diferent translation agencies

TMS with great overall performance and support
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase is an easy-to-use, all encompassing TMS, which is essentail for localization management. It covers most of the bases and helps my company manage our loc needs smoothly. I like the two-column interface and incopration of AI, TMs, and MT.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup and setting management can be overhwleming and non-intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to manage projects in one location, utilize analytics and manage my memories.
There's a lot to praise about Phrase, but also lots of room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best features of Phrase TMS, in my opinion, is that linguists do not need to have their own license. Especially now with the new pricing package and ilimited user licenses, this is something that really streamlines the onboarding process of new linguists for our company. I also really enjoy the technology advancements with integrated AI features, such as Phrase Custom AI, which allows us to deliver a lot more value to our clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Phrase TMS lacks some of the more robust linguistic features that are found in some of the CAT tools that have been in the market for longer, such as memoQ and SDL Studio. The Phrase alignment tool, file importing tool and regex are subpar when comapred to the other tools.
My biggest pet peeve with Phrase is the lack of knowledge from the Sales team, especially now with the new AI capabilties. I've been promised lots of features that Phrase was not ready to deliver. I was incorrently charged for MTUs that I did not use. I waited in line for MONTHS for the Custom AI to become available for Portuguese when I was promised it would be available in January, then in March. I was told more than once that there were no hidden costs on the new pricing plan, but yet there were. It took me a lot of trial and error to implement Custom AI -- and in the beginning, the sales representative who sold the solution to us, was also unaware that the technology does not support locales.
The manuals and guides available are not complete enough and do not approach many use-case scenarios, and more often than not, getting someone to help resolve these implementation issues is a hassle.
While the support team responds promptly, they are not able to assist in more complicated issues.
One example: I filled out the form to order Custom AI 4 or 5 times at the end of 2023 and received no response from sales. Ultimately I issues a support ticket and was told "my emails were not reaching anyone". Once a sales perosn was assigned to my case, they were not very knowledgeable about the product. This person then left the company and my emails went unanswered AGAIN for several months. This is until a new sales person was assigned to my account not to resolve the issues I had emailed about, but to incorrectly charge me for additional MTU use when we had not reached our limit and they were being counted incorrectly. It has been very frustrating dealing with the Phrase team overall.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase has helped us implement a customized AI translation solution for one of our clients, which allowed us to regain business from this client when mega-agencies who have their own AI solution were trying to this deal to them. This has been great, though the solution came with a lot of sweat and tears from our end, as I explained in the previous comment. Communication and lack of knowledge from the sales team is a big, BIG issue.
Efficient tool. Straightforward. It saves a lot of time.
What do you like best about the product?
Simple, practical, and efficient tool that I use for my apps, website, and transactional SMS and push notifications. The management of translations is very straightforward. It saves a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacks the ability to duplicate multiple keys.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. The ease of managing numerous wordings for multiple apps and websites on a single CMS, and 2. The accuracy of the automated translation.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple d'utilisation, convivial. Il s'agit de mon outil de prédilection, et je l'utilise très souvent. Je n'ai pas eu besoin de demander beaucoup d'aide extérieure pour comprendre le fonctionnement de l'outil. La fonctionnalité de contrôle qualité est simple et facile à utiliser. J'apprécie particulièrement le fait de pouvoir ajouter des exceptions aux répétitions.

What do you dislike about the product?
Je regrette de ne pas pouvoir choisir la typographie en fonction de la langue (chevrons ou guillemets, apostrophes droites ou courbes...). Certains logiciels de traduction proposent l'écriture intuitive pour les chiffres, et ajoutent automatiquement les espaces insécables avant les signes de ponctuation les nécessitant. Ces fonctionnalités me seraient très utiles.
J'apprécierais également de pouvoir classer les résultats de la mémoire de traduction par date, afin d'avoir un accès rapide aux résultats les plus récents, et donc les plus pertinents.
Je regrette que les cases à cocher du contrôle qualité se présentent désormais sous forme de bandeau, cela me fait perdre du temps lorsque je souhaite sélectionner plusieurs options.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase permet un accès facile et quasi-instantané aux mémoires de traduction, ce qui facilite grandement mon travail et me permet de le faire rapidement. Il est également compatible avec le logiciel de dictée que j'utilise, ce qui est un avantage non négligeable. Le glossaire est simple et facile à utiliser, j'apprécie grandement l'écriture intuitive des termes qui y figurent.
Intuitive and easy for freelancers
What do you like best about the product?
It is intuitive and easy to use. ""CAT" tool includes contextual visualizations, which is really helpful to save time. AI integrated makes translation much faster and you can train a domain-specific custom model. LQA scorecard allows an objective feedback to translators. I can easily manage projects, translate and review all types of files, and automate the end-to-end process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am really happy with this platform so far.

Review of Phrase Localization Platform
What do you like best about the product?
This platform enables multiple translators to work on the same files simultaneously, using the same translation memory and termbases, enabling uniform, high-quality translations.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no downside to using the platform except the cost. The pricing may not be suitable for freelancers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase Localization Platform is solving the problem of translating using machine translation by linking translations offered by different vendors into one platform.
OS-independent, Easy-to-use Translation Software
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase is very intuitive, easy-to-use software. It is browser-based software, so you do not have to download and install it on a PC or MAC.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires a user to be connected to the Internet to use Phrase, which can be a minus when you do not have Internet access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase is simple to use. I do not have to use a few applications to complete a translation/proofreading assignment. All of my work can be done on one browser, which is very convenient for me.
I think is really useful and efficient.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fuzzy match system and the suggested translation system.

Sometimes it takes a long time to load the suggested translation of some segments.

Phrase is helping the translation industry by giving a great CAT tool experience.

I like the fact that I am able to accept more volume of work and systematize my work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I only use the TMS, so I have the feeling I´m missing out on other things, but I like TMS a lot.
I feel that the new feature of reaching a cap per term is not very fair, some months I have a lot of work ad some I don't, so it should compensate. I find it werd to have to purchase more capacity....
