Intuitive and practical
What do you like best about the product?
How easily projects and multiple languages are portrayed, as well as already translated and unverified translations. I also really like the "suggestions" tab and how it's possible to see images for context.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish the translation box would have a word/character counter, as that's something that I need to take care on whenever I'm translating for web/mobile apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to translate applications, email marketing templates, website pages and much more.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's totally worth giving it a try, considering how useful, clean, and intuitive Phrase is.
You should start using Phrase on the first day you create a app.
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase is beginner-friendly and well-documented. It certainly makes our localization working a lot easier and allows fast communication with our team. It's super easy to use, and every member of our team can use it. It has saved lots of time when we doing localization.
All my team members love Phrase. My favorite feature is that Phrase provides a powerful command-line tool. The command-line tool makes our development workflow more efficient.

What do you dislike about the product?
So far I haven't found any shortcomings in using Phrase. If I have to say one, I wish there is a Phrase desktop app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using this product, almost most of the localization work can only be done by engineers. Now, each of our members can use Phrase to finish localization tasks!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Localization is a complicated issue, and you should choose a good tool on the first day of starting an international project.
Definetly a need if you are handling with localization.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use for this tool. Everything is very simple and there. You can understand what to do by looking at it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notification Options are a bit strange. I'd like to have notifications options for the keys I create it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are doing our apps localizations through PhraseApp. Also, using some of the apis to pull and push some new keys to Phrase which is very cool.
Great for managing your localization
What do you like best about the product?
Great web tool to manage all your locale files and have a common place to deal with localization. A lot of formats and integrations supported
What do you dislike about the product?
Mobile app not available to work on the go
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having several languages and them integrated with our tools and production environments
The best CAT Tool out there
What do you like best about the product?
It simply works. Differently from Trados, it's really plug-and-play. You can just focus on translation without worrying about errors, crashes, glitches, and all the "pleasant" things you have to face when you use Trados. TMs and glossaries work very well, you can integrate it with systems like DeepL, and you have a lot more help than Trados when you work (suggestions, terms, and the likes).
What do you dislike about the product?
I only have a small complaint with Memsource - it doesn't work well with high-DPI systems. In particular, I have a 4K monitor, but the interface (not the translation environment) is sometimes tiny, sometimes enormous. However, it isn't a big deal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Memsource/Phrase is a well-designed system whose biggest advantage is that you don't have to worry about technical things like you do with Trados. I am an experienced computer user, but a lot of times Trados makes me lose more time than what I save. I suggest any translator asking their PM to switch to Memsource/Phrase for more peace of mind. We are translators, not computer technicians. Let other professionals deal with technical things, if needed, and let us deal with the translation process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly advise moving to Memsource if your company or agency is using another CAT Tool. In my opinion, Memsource is the best CAT Tool available in 2019. It was the same in 2018 and I'm sure it will be in 2020 as well. It's free to use for translators.
Translations management at its best
What do you like best about the product?
PhraseApp helped us managing a multi-language web application efficiently sharing the translation work load among people based in different Countries. It helped us to rise the quality level and perception of our tool among our final users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not big points I dislike of this app but if have to find one I would say that it can be improved on the translator UX. Considering that Translators not always are tech guys a more user friendly interface for this category can just help them to quickly start using PhraseApp efficiently from the beginning shortening the learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allow us to rise the translation quality of our application interface.
Very short time to market and very flexible and fast way to put corrections and changes quickly on line.

My preferred translation management tool
What do you like best about the product?
The amount of export formats and constant stream of new features and improvements to existing ones. The SDK has undergo a couple of updates over the last years, I'm using PA since ~2015, and quality is really good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing model is focussed to larger enterprises. Small companies or solo developers can apply for for the open source license. Filling this 'gap' with a 'small' commercial license would be cool!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing translations between translators, copy writers and developers was a nightmare in the past. Having one tool that allows everybody to write and fetch translation in his/hers 'native' way (e.g. via the SDK) is great.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the trial and setup a small website to quickly see results when evaluating PhraseApp. In case of questions, StackOverflow has lots of answers.
Helpful comprehensive tool for localisation with clear jobs summary.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the simple but comprehensive design. It loads and saves lightly. Keypad shortcuts, glossary, suggestions from other projects. I particularly like the very new feature - summary of all jobs I haven't done for all projects. That's amazing - complete, helpful and light, as always. I was waiting for that. Thanks! Keep up the good work!
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything for now. In the future you might want to include some kind of invoicing feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Localisation is faster, more consistent and I now keep track of all my jobs. I never miss a deadline.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Light, fast, comprehensive tool. I would recommend for multiple projects management.
Easy to use for developers
What do you like best about the product?
Phrase app offers a very good API for developers. Especially the new live editing mode of translations is really helpful, as you can directly see the changes that you are applying.
What do you dislike about the product?
As for now, I did not have any negative experience when working with PhraseApp as a developer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With PhraseApp we were able to simplify the translation process of our product. Translating new texts for a feature into multiple languages is easier to manage with this.
Fantastic
What do you like best about the product?
Its powerful yet simple to use and scales pretty well. We use it across multiple software development teams and have it integrated into our CI and it works quite well for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be easy to create too many keys, some eventually get duplicated or unused. Some tooling around key reuse and cleanup would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've successfully made content delivery to the software delivery process agile by giving content creators the time needed to work out the right content to use as well as making it available across multiple languages without requiring a full handoff before software implementation can start
