PhraseApp has streamlined the translation process
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that you get to see the UI while translating. This helps in so many ways as context is everything when translating, and having the UI next to me reduces the number of revisions as well as the time to navigate through different Apps to find the exact text I am translating. I also like the fact that everything is saved on a browser. This allows me to access translation from different devices and declutters my desktop of translation documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have only been using the app for about a month, but so far, there are nothing I dislike about it so far. Great app overall!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my opinion, the streamlining of translation is the biggest benefit. It reduces time required for translation and revision which allows me to get other work done.
Single Source of Truth
What do you like best about the product?
I make use of the CLI-API by pushing keys and translations as well as pulling automatically (React i18n / babel for extracting messages and hashed json files for fetching from frontends)
What do you dislike about the product?
Quality comes at a price. For Pet Projects I find it too expensive.

ICU Messageformat is a must for pluralization / gender-specific texts and so on. Phraseapp supports icu messageformat by providing a neat user experiene to translators.

User friendly and fast
What do you like best about the product?
I have the possibility to receive my "jobs" directly into my email inbox, by been tagged from the "owner" of the translation.
From that moment I click through the link, that bring be to intuitive page; and I'm ready to translate!
In the right side of the page I can find suggestions on how to translate sentences based on previous works and if something is not clear I can tag the "owner" in a specific chatter.
Moreover, I've the chance to change my translation with a simple click without having thousand files on my drive, because everything is on Phrase App.
I strongly, recommend Phrase App if you have frequent translations to do and you need to be fast and accurate.

What do you dislike about the product?
Right now, I cannot find low lights. The only thing, could be to improve always more suggestions for the sentences that has to be translated
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At first, I used to receive excel files with different columns and I did the translation slowly, cell by cell; without any interaction. I was not able to see how many words were left to finish the job and there were no suggestions on how to better translate the texts.
Easy-to-use, localization-friendly headless CMS
What do you like best about the product?
As a global content manager for mobile app and web, I find that PhraseApp's super-responsive search function makes it easy to find strings in all languages and filter by keywords. This helps us locate content across all our platforms (mobile and web) that we need to update quickly.
I also like the tracked versioning of all content changes -- this helps us see all changes made by whom and when. The tracked versions show us visually what has been deleted and changed using strikethroughs and colour coding, which makes it very easy for editors to read and follow.
Every PhraseApp key allows us to add a screenshot or notes for writers and translators, which means this could technically allow us to use the CMS as a translation management tool. We currently don't do this in our company, but it's a huge plus for people in my profession.

What do you dislike about the product?
I find it difficult to export all languages in one clean copybook. At the moment I seem to only be able to export one copybook per language.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use PhraseApp to quickly localize content in all markets where our product is available. Developers are able to create PhraseApp keys before content is final, allowing editors and translators flexibility to update content in a different workflow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're new to a headless CMS, this is possibly the neatest, freshest, simplest solution I've encountered so far.

What do you dislike about the product?
Could be better in presenting context for translators. We have the problem very often that our translators are not sure where the text will be placed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Designers don't have to adapt texts in their designs anymore. All texts can be managed in PhraseApp and edited by everyone who is eligible to. For reviews with customers, we export an XLS file and import it after corrections have been made. Developers can easily pull the texts into their code und keep the application up to date.
We have researched a lot of similar tools as well, but PhraseApp was our choice to be. Thumbs up!

I highly recommend PhraseApp to other users
What do you like best about the product?
PhraseApp is very user-friendly and allows us to keep track of any changes, search within several languages, add comments and much more. Most of all it allows to have the original text in English translated to multiple languages with minimum effort. I have been using it for a long time and I am very satisfied with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing I can complain about. I am satisfied user as I mentioned above. I have been using PhraseApp for many months, over a year now, and I think it is very easy to use avoiding wasting time with searching for features and setting up things and allowing to concentrate in what is important for us: the translation of our contents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best thing is being able to combine several languages in one place. Sending a unique link to all the users we can have several translations with no fuss. It allows the best management of users and translations in multiple languages and saves time to everybody making it the best for everbody.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it and see for yourself.
Managing translations the professional way
What do you like best about the product?
Easy administration of localizations across different platforms and CI integration. Very comfortable team collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing model for additional features could be more modular, e.g. role based. I would like to have a history/snapshot for a release version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Translating localization for mobile apps for iOS, Android and its backend. No more merge conflicts and faster translation process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the import and export features, API and translation verification.
Excellent application
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is very easy to follow. The search functionality is very easy and accurate. We also use PhraseApp to follow the translations for about 8 different languages. The option to group users based on roles and apply different permissions on each one saved us many times. Finally, the support they provide is like no one else. Always there and on point.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I couldn't find anything that I don't like in this application. I personally use it for about 6 months and everything works as it should work, every time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I said earlier, we keep track of translations of 8+ different languages. They provide exactly the functionality we need, and definitely we are going to trust them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As I said in my review, there are many reasons to choose PhraseApp. The ease of use I think, is the main one though. It can solve problems that you couldn't think of before.

With PhraseApp:
- The translator has direct access to the platform;
- The translation is done directly on the web page, via the text editor, offering the possibility of previewing the result;
- Creation of specific translations with information on specific strings to translate.
This means efficiency in terms of communication, implementation, workflow and project organization.

Very useful tool for internationalisation and translation purposes
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the fact, that we can manage all our static content via phraseapp through all locales.
What do you dislike about the product?
The restriction on the number of users sometimes makes it a bit tricky to assign more people to the project. But I guess this depends on our contract.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Full localisation of our static content
