Perfect for coordinating several translation projects
What do you like best about the product?
Flexible rights and roles management supports our needs to coordinate several projects and interconnect via suggest-function common terms.
Many export formats fit to different project setups. Especially Excel-exports/uploads enables to integrate business stakeholders without giving access / special training to Phraseapp directly.

What do you dislike about the product?
Would wish bulk export/upload of several locales. Business side uses Excel/csv a lot, here each language needs to be exported individually.
Support is very helpful and incredibly fast but sometimes the chat-popup are annoying / can not be closed permanently

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy stakeholder involvement due to easy and clear UI and great export features.
Process speed is highly increased, reduced costs due to Phraseapp becoming more and more the only solution

Simple and clean UI/UX
Can be used as SPOT for all strings to be localized.

What do you dislike about the product?
You have to forget about Xcode base internationalization. But that’s mainly an Xcode issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do i18n of our mobile Apps using PhraseApp.
It became our SPOT after an initial push.
We add all keys to PhraseApp and just pull using the CLI
On iOS we even ocalize XIBs and Storyboards using extensions that allow us to set the key for each UI Element to localize right in Interface Builder.

What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, after more than one year using PhraseApp I have really not found anything I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The translation management for more than 20 languages works super smoothly with PhraseApp:
- It gives the translators direct access to the platform.
- With the "in context editor", the translation is done directly on the web page, having the possibility to preview the result.
- You can create specific translation tasks with deadline reminders and relevant information about the specific strings to be translated.
All this means a higher efficiency in terms of communication, implementation, work flow and organization towards the projects.

Phrase App Review
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to reach any language all over the world. This app gives you the opportunity to translate any type of file into any language at the click of a button. I also like how there is a versatile search option in which you can search thousands of translated documents to find exactly what you need much quicker.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this moment, there is nothing I dislike about this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PhraseApp helps break language barriers. The fact that technology these days can translate a document into any language in the world is extremely impressive and very helpful for other who need to keep in contact with international clients. It gives businesses a way for them to expand internationally without having to worry about a language barrier. It also provides a way for clients to be connected right away on certain projects without having to worry about the languages.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend this product to users looking into considering this purchase. They have several different payment plans and there is an option for euros and US dollars as well. If you are looking to expand your business internationally, this would be a good product to look into to work on projects with your international clients.
Gets the job done with ease
What do you like best about the product?
Other reviews here will vouch for PhraseApp being your all-purpose translation toolkit. And it is. But I also want to point out how solid the UI is. I don't work in Phrase every day, so when I do, it's important I'm able to navigate my way with ease.
Also I'm able to collab with coworkers on projects fairly simply.
Also I'm able to collab with coworkers on projects fairly simply.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the above collaboration note, I wonder if there could be an easier, more all-encompassing way of tackling projects where we divide up the workload. For example, "assigning" a certain group of or individual translation to a team member. Just a thought, apologies if this exists.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to provide visibility into our translations with other internal stakeholders, and complete projects quite easily. Again, the UI makes everything pretty simple.
Uncomplicated tool for managing our translation
What do you like best about the product?
We use the API and it's very uncomplicated to use it in our company. We have 26 different languages and it's hard to maintain this in an array.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm missing a translation key search field right after choosing the project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had problems to managing our translation strings. This is not the case anymore.
Elegant, reliable, good ROI for teams
What do you like best about the product?
Memsource is way more efficient than traditional, expensive desktop software. I usually have new translators up & running in 3-4 hours. Everyone is on the same platform. The system works reliably: virtually no downtimes, no data silos / vendor lock-in. Offline clients are available for OS X, Windows and Linux. Things just work. Clean interface, no info overload. Great support - fast, friendly, competent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Memsource Editions (currently there are ten) are a bit confusing. Out-of-the-box support for WordPress and other popular CMS would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I run a small technical writing and translation agency, working with about a dozen freelance translators. Memsource helps us translate documents (web content, product manuals, brochures, ads, promos, whitepapers, video subtitles and more) for major clients in the IT, MI and AV industries.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get a test account, set up a test project, throw in every file format you expect to work with. Make sure your users learn keyboard shortcuts and understand tags. Make them use the QA feature. Make sure your projects are well-structured (by product, department, whatever works for you). Moving documents to other projects is doable, but should probably be avoided.
Since early years, I have been using Memsource
What do you like best about the product?
Unlike other complicated CAT took, Memsource is very simple to use (you need only 30 minutes to get used to). In addition, a cloud translation system is very nice because you can work at home, in office, and even when you are somewhere on a business trip. Memsource is relatively less expensive as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is almost nothing I dislike Memsource. However, if I was forced to mention, then Memsource would preferably improve on a project management function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we grew, we had a problem of not being able to manage our large volume of translation jobs. We needed a system across the organization rather than an individually-installed desktop CAT tool in order to share translation data in a translation memory. Memsource solved this problem in a matter of minute!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly recommend Memsource to every user. I am sure it is easy to use because Memsource Editor gets rid of unnecessary functions unlike other CAT tools.
Preferrable CAT tool for APriori Translation Company
What do you like best about the product?
Very flexible in terms of monthly number of licenses, online and offline editing modes, very customizable, convenient glossary management, smart pre-translation, regularly added new features
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited number of linguists per license
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We integrated Memsource at APriori five years ago, and immediately felt the benefits: it is especially valuable for large projects involving a few linguists working simultaneously. Its implementation resulted in faster turnaround, better terminology and style consistency and quality assurance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very user-friendly even for linguists who never used TM tools before.
