Easy to use, self explanatory
What do you like best about the product?
I like the various shortcuts, the translation memory, the AI capabilities and the speed. It takes very little to get started. All functions are easy to find and configuration.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is a little steep. I wish there was a way to add frequently used words that the platform mistakenly marks as "incorrect" to a personal dictionary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phrase is great for insuring consistency across content which is important for the brands I translate for.

A useful tool for localisation but does require a lot of manual work and corrections
What do you like best about the product?
The documentation for setting up and installing was straightforward and easy to follow. The project folder structuring keeps things neat. The Support team are usually able to help out with our enquiries (though it does take a pretty long time to receive a response).
What do you dislike about the product?
The changes to the Phrase platform UI isn't the best, the old UI was clearer and easier to find things, nowadays a lot of the features feel very hidden and unclear. We regularly run into formatting issues during exports of languages that we need to correct. Words like 'yes' and 'no' turning into boolean values ('true/false') within Phrase UI causes total confusion with our translators which again requires more manual correction from a developer. It's frustrating that during GitHub sync imports (which we use for our base language, English) that deletions aren't accounted for, so we have to manually go into Phrase every time to delete keys.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a tool we can use to manage multiple languages and allows our translators/agencies to provide translations that we can export into our codebase/website/apps.
Everything you need for efficient translation work
What do you like best about the product?
Filter function is very convenient for consistency in terminology
What do you dislike about the product?
Lots of features I don't need in my day-to-day work, but that's just me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing large amounts of terminology that is different from client to client
Easy to use, and the cost performance is good.
What do you like best about the product?
Cost effectiveness. Enough functions for affordable cost(rate). Also and as mentioned in the title, the screen/view is easy to see/read. Even without reading the manual, the CAT tool can be used for basic use. About the server type(system), anyone in the company can use the tool as long as they are internet-connected, without downloaded any software: this can be important since we need to ask for administration rights to our IT department for any software to download for our PC.
What do you dislike about the product?
Help function and instruction manual is only in English for server type. Although I understand English, it takes a little longer than Japanes, a mother tongue. So it would be helpful if the manual/help function can be selected in Japanese, too. (with the sesrver type, not the desktop type)
While it is easy to see and use, I feel some kind of inconveniences in finding the function/tool I want. For example, I could know how to exchange/update the original material (target material) only after I took a Memsource seminar for Japanese users. That (at the same time) made me to think that taking the seminor is important and necessary for users.

To reduce translation time (the same/repeated words and phrases can be translated automatically) and mis-translation or translation blurs. Time deduction leads to cost reduction and reducing/avoiding translation blurs leads to translation quality (higher). Even when I don't translate by myself but outsourcing, the "analyze" fuction is quite useful and enable me to estimate the cost even roughly (ao can compare to (determine) the quotation from the outsourcing company). Especially when there is a word list or translation memory, "analyze" function of CAT tool is a must thing to estimate. If it is only counting the number of words and letters, Word function is enough, but when it comes to setting the Glossary/Memory, it is not. In addition, the "repeat rate" can be checked by the function, and that gives me the data to estimate the delivery time (for both outsourcing and work by myself).
Extremely user-friendly, and easy to teach.
What do you like best about the product?
We are using Phrase TMS in class as the cloud-based TEnTs. It is easy to manage, and the students usually find the UI more approachable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The TB seems to be too simplified. While it is easy to upload and use, one cannot add information such as the entry date, fields, whether it's a preferred term or not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One key issue is the OS: some of our students are MAC users, and having a cloud-based platform like Phrase helps me solve this problem. Most of the students are beginners, and some are not equipped with the required IT skills. The UI and the basic functions such as importing/exporting TMs and TBs are not as intimidating as other platforms (e.g., Trados Studio).
It is a very convenient and efficient platform in terms of using TM and TB, repetitions etc
What do you like best about the product?
I like the concordance search and the signs for repeted segments. Easy implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the QA is not efficient, too many instances to ignore, the function of the filter in QA does not work after the last update, so to repeat the QA I need to go over all the segments over and over again to make sure everything is ticked and corrected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides TM, TB and MT which helps to accelerate the translation, it suggests terms and allows to find previuos translations.
Effortless and Accurate Localization with Phrase
What do you like best about the product?
I have used and tested quite a few tools, and none match up to Phrase Localization Platform's intuitive interface and robust features. We work with a variety of file types, including e-learning and software, and Phrase supports each of these with customizable import settings that separate code from actual text. Their support team is always prompt in addressing any requests or queries. Our linguists find the online interface very easy and convenient to use. The platform's integrations with many third-party applications have played a crucial role in securing new clients. Additionally, Phrase continuously introduces exciting new features, including integrations with OpenAI and other AI-enhanced automations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of Phrase's new features were initially offered as additional charges, which was a downside since we had to pay for them separately. However, they have since revised their suite of offerings, and now I believe most features are included in the package, which is great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining the overall translation management with our team of <3000 linguists; ensuring consistency and accuracy thanks to the robust TB and TM systems; facilitating collaboration with real-time collaboration tools; supporting various file types; integrations with third-party applications; AI-enhanced automation features.
Phrase: aiming for centralised translation processes
What do you like best about the product?
I think that PhraseLocalization Suite's greatest strength is that it can fit anybody in a company: from developers with Phrase Strings to language specialists with TMS. Colleagues from marketing departments and also technical teams can be included.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that it is usage based; it would be great to purchase the license without the usage limit. Also, that alignments to create TMs happen through Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enables us to centralise translations - we're just starting though-
Good tool, but constant UI changes which are not so good
What do you like best about the product?
Its an easy tool where you don't need much learning to start using.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, Phrase constantly make changes without notice or introducing beta versions to allow users decide which interface they prefer leaving users confused all the time by sudden changes which - quite often - make the experience worse. Customer service is not very attentive to resolve the issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time efficiency
Excellent translation tool
What do you like best about the product?
Automatization, possibility to custom and save filters, edit source function, fast bugs resolving and in general good customer support, flexibility. easy to use
What do you dislike about the product?
That is time-consuming adding a language to an open job. Sometimes too many updates, so you basically can't recognize the interface. Some features are not intuitive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to automation it saves a lot of time in assigning jobs, a part of quotes it's basically no human work
