A Game-changer

  • September 20, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The real game-changer for me was the flexibility. I started by setting up a simple to-do list and quickly moved on to creating detailed project boards for each client. One of my favorite features is the ability to create interconnected databases. For instance, I set up a client database that links directly to individual project pages. This means I can see at a glance which stage each project is at, deadlines, and any outstanding tasks. The collaborative features are stellar too; I’ve been able to share specific pages with clients for feedback, and they can leave comments directly on the document. The integration with Google Drive has also been a lifesaver, making it easy to pull in assets and resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. The learning curve was definitely steeper than I anticipated. The sheer amount of customization options was a bit overwhelming at first, and it took some time to figure out how to best structure my workspace. Also, while the desktop version is fantastic, the mobile app leaves much to be desired. I often found it clunky and less intuitive, which made on-the-go updates a bit frustrating. Performance can also dip when loading particularly large pages or databases, which was a minor annoyance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I first stumbled upon Notion, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It felt like yet another productivity tool promising the world. But after a few weeks of using it, I can honestly say it’s become an indispensable part of my daily routine. As a designer juggling multiple client projects and personal tasks, I needed something that could keep everything in one place without overwhelming me. Notion delivered in spades.

Databases can now be sorted, filtered, and linked more intricately thanks to new functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
In comparison to the desktop version, the mobile app is less flexible due to its limited functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to create both simple and complex databases has changed project management. For both organizations and individuals looking for a complete tool for notes, assignments, and project management, Notion is an excellent choice.

Task Management: Create to-do lists, Kanban boards, and set deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning Curve: Notion's versatility can be overwhelming for new users. It offers a wide range of customization options, which might require some time to understand fully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem: Teams often use multiple apps for different tasks, such as document creation, task tracking, communication, and file sharing, leading to fragmented workflows.
Solution: Notion combines all these tools into one platform, offering task management, note-taking, databases, and document sharing. This consolidation simplifies workflows and reduces the need for switching between different apps.

Notion Review

  • August 27, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion continues to impress with its consistent updates. Recently, I’ve really enjoyed the addition of AI-powered features like smart summaries and auto-categorization, which save time and improve productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Notion has made great strides, there’s still room for improvement. Advanced project management tools like Gantt charts or task dependencies are still limited compared to dedicated PM platforms. Managing multiple complex projects can feel overwhelming without more robust workflow automation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
provides an all-in-one workspace for note-taking, task management, and collaboration. I benefit because I get to use these features.

Notion Experience 2024

  • August 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You can combine notes, databases, calendars, tasks, wikis, and dashboards in one centralized space. Pages are highly customizable with drag-and-drop blocks, toggles, embeds, headers, checklists, and more—so it fits your exact workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
A more responsive, powerful mobile interface with richer offline capabilities. Also, you're not able to create charts, graphs, or basic reporting tools without third-party integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps the C-suite informed on every aspect of the business. We as managers provide weekly updates to the page so they can be aware of everything that happens in each account. Any major details are placed there (Good/bad). Instead of reaching out to you directly they just open the notion page for those details. This helps to keep the communication alive within the business.
