Excellent for a PhD Student Managing Many Tasks/Projects
What do you like best about the product?
Notion has been one of the most helpful things I’ve done since starting my PhD in clinical psychology. It helps me in being able to manage multiple tasks, including my thesis dissertation, teaching requirements papers in progress projects I’m working on, etc. I’ve also used it to create webpages that I share with other collaborators at conferences as well as other tools to just assist my day-to-day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the AI could improve significantly and how it relates to an interface is with the notion interface. There are often times when I ask the AI to help me just better format a certain page and it honestly just makes things worse rather than help. It also could do much better than being able to look across all of my projects and synthesize information for example finding due dates and creating a due date/to-do list that is Relevant and specifically drawn from my own notion pages. I think there’s a lot of improvement that can be done to the AI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Helpful Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is a great knowledge management tool to help keep my global team on track. Its features allows my team to clearly outline expectations and deadlines - making communicating across different time zones and languages easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a first-time user of Notion, it was a bit difficult to wrap my head around all of the features. It might just be how my team has it set up, but in my opinion, it might be easier to use if there weren't so many hoops to jump through when creating a task/project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion allows for my team to store work in a centralized location - making it easy for teams around the globe to edit and access. I work cross-functionally across different teams and Notion helps us communicate expectations and deadlines for different projects.

Notion AI cross-platform search a game changer!
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful tool is the AI search that integrates with our Slack and Jira. It is extremely helpful to be able to search our internal documentation and the "unofficial" documentation in the form of conversations at the same time. If I don't know the answer to a question or need to know if something has been encountered before, Notion AI is the first place I go, and I do so several times every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't think of any downsides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowledge is stored in several different places. Notion itself gives an easy-to-use way to store that knowledge, and the AI search can check our other platforms for knowledge that has not been officially documented.

This is one of the more helpful tools I've used to access any company resource. I've used other tools before (zendesk, google docs, etc) and this one beats them all out.

AI Writing Assistant
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy notion. I use it every day from daily task management, story pitches, and planning. Notion is number one for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike notions ability to acknowledge the students who keep this platform running 24 hours a day. I think it would be more done for students. My account has not been acknowledged as long as I have been a student and I think it’s kind of weird that I can’t get any assistance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of business clients task and deliverables.
How Notion Helps Me Enhance My Productivity
What do you like best about the product?
I like Notion because it offers an incredibly flexible and visually intuitive way to organize my thoughts, tasks, and projects—all in one place. Unlike traditional note-taking apps, Notion allows me to create structured databases, to-do lists, wikis, and even simple dashboards that I can fully customize based on my workflow. I especially appreciate its ability to link pages together and toggle between different views like tables, calendars, and boards, which makes it easy to switch between big-picture planning and detailed documentation. The drag-and-drop interface feels smooth and natural, and the minimalist design helps me stay focused without distractions. Another reason I enjoy using Notion is its collaborative features—I can share pages with team members, assign tasks, and leave comments directly on content. It works well across all my devices, and I can quickly access everything I need, whether I'm planning a project, writing notes, or tracking goals. The community templates are also a great source of inspiration, helping me discover new ways to structure my work more efficiently. Overall, Notion feels like a digital extension of my brain—versatile, clean, and tailored to how I think and work best.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Notion is its limited backlinking and knowledge visualization features. While it supports backlinks between pages, it lacks a true graph view like Obsidian’s, which allows me to see how my ideas are connected in a more visual, intuitive way. This makes it harder to explore relationships between notes or build a networked thinking system for research and creative projects. Additionally, Notion can feel sluggish with large databases or complex pages, and its offline functionality is limited, which can be frustrating when I need to work without a stable internet connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion solves the problem of scattered information by combining note-taking, task management, databases, and collaboration tools into one unified workspace. Instead of juggling multiple apps for to-do lists, meeting notes, project planning, and document storage, I can manage everything within a single, organized system. This centralization helps me stay focused and reduces the time I spend switching between tools. Notion’s flexibility also lets me build custom workflows that match the way I think—whether it’s tracking research, planning a project timeline, or creating a content calendar. As a result, I feel more in control of my work and better able to manage both daily tasks and long-term goals.
The Ultimate Hub for Organizing My Projects
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Notion lets me centralize everything—Bible study outlines, business planning, product development, research, and AI workflows—into one clean, flexible space. It adapts to whatever I need it to be, whether I’m mapping out a game, managing a launch strategy, or archiving prophetic research. The ability to link pages, embed content, and create databases makes it feel like a custom-built control center for all my projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Especially when using my phone, and nesting is a few pages deep, I can't see the page titles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is solving the chaos of juggling multiple complex projects across scattered tools and documents. Instead of bouncing between Google Docs, spreadsheets, task apps, and sticky notes, I can manage everything in one place—from my Bible game development and subscription box planning to deep research and daily task tracking. It helps me stay focused, organized, and aligned with my bigger mission. I can visually map out projects, connect related ideas, and build systems that evolve with me—without needing to hire someone or learn complicated software. It's like having a second brain that actually understands how I think.
