Powerful Yet Complex - Amazing Features
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that Notion feels quite simple to use, making it approachable even though it has a lot of complex capabilities under the hood. I appreciate how it allows me to set up automations and formulas that link with every form, providing a malleable system that adapts to my needs. This functionality is particularly handy as it helps me manage and link different projects together efficiently, especially when dealing with time constraints. The ability to set urgencies between projects and have everything come to a main dashboard and database is really valuable. It helps me accumulate a structured task plan for the day and ensures that if I've missed something, it flags it for me. This blend of simplicity and powerful automation makes Notion an impressive tool for organizing my business projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there needs to be a simpler method into how one can set up these types of automations and formulas in Notion. While there is a lot of AI usage now, and I know there's a lot it can do, it would be much more helpful if there were templated examples of things it could do instead of having to let the user guess. Additionally, the initial setup was quite hard, as I didn't understand what I was doing or how to do it, so I had to use ChatGPT to guide me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to consolidate project schedules, distinguish between client projects while unifying them, and automate tasks to create a daily task plan, which aids in meeting time constraints and highlights missed items.

The flexibility of the structuring of the product, the new ai features and the ability to access across a wide range of platforms. It is an amazing knowledge management tool and has enterprise level search.

it takes a lot of time to really set things up properly so that you keep things organized

Wow I always knew Notion AI is amazing but now with the Google Drive integration it's a complete powerhouse!!
Checking in with Notion about the status of a project actually worked - Notion provided an accurate short summary and pulled all the relevant links from the Google documents, correctly analyzing their content.
Notion API + Zapier works amazingly, too.

What do you dislike about the product?
Embedding G Docs and files isn't ideal.

solves a knowledge gap from lectures to my understanding, quickly using AI to explain topics and incorporate them into my notes.

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is fairly customizable and there are a TON of custom templates out there to help as either copy/paste or inspirational jumping off points. We use this everyday with multiple teams and committees.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we could "edit" the responses that the AI search does. It's super helpful with calling out discrepancies in what needs to be updated, but sometimes there are multiple sources and it would be helpful to be able to further teach the AI so the responses were more reliable.

giving us a centralized virtual space to house a lot of the information we share with eachother.

What do you like best about the product?
The AI block that is on the homepage for the notion account. You should be able to place that block on any page so that you can ask research or build from AI basically anywhere in your workspace on any page because I’ve already created basically a homepage for myself that has my clients and the main databases that I wanna see. it would be nice to kinda add that block where I can do my research and also I could ask AI to gather information outside of my workspace. I think that the product is very good. I use it every day I love that it’s in my workspace.

This is the foundation of my business. I’ve built my project management, client management, content tracking, and lead tracking systems all in one place. I’ve also created client portals, so my clients can work directly within the platform. It’s where all client communication happens as well.
Basically, this is my central hub for everything—both personal and business. The biggest benefit is that everything is connected and communicates seamlessly with each other.

how to advertise more efficiently on Facebook, YouTube, Amazon and other social networks. After just 3 weeks, I'm already getting more phone calls and ranking higher.

Definitely the customization functionality. With most knowledge management software, you are locked into how THEY set it up.
With Notion, you can make it exactly how YOU want it...as a creative person, I love this.

I haven't found a great use case for the AI yet outside of the database builder.
