Game Changer!

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a new Project Manager, Notion has been a game changer! The new Forms layout makes it easy for teammates to open tickets with me, and I'm notified immediately. It's also easy to communicate on tickets/pages with team members.

I LOVE the AI Search feature that allows me to utilize ALL company resources within Notion to provide an answer, as well as to browse ChatGPT for other topics as well.

The pre-existing templates have also been great, there are a ton of different templates for everything you can think of. I've used the templates oten.
What do you dislike about the product?
This may be a setting that I'm unaware of as I wasn't involved in the setup of our Notion account, but if we could restrict teams to only use pre-approved templates for each of their departments, that would be ideal. Currently each department has set up their own page and the lack of consistency is confusing.

Additionally, there are some nuances in formatting some of the pages, but this is likely due to user error :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously I was using Notes and Google Sheets to help me try and stay organized. Notion has been very beneficial in streamlining our processes, the ticketing process allows visibility at a high (and low) level, and it's helpful to showcase all the projects I've been working on to leadership, and the steps that have been involved to get a project from A-Z.

It's been great for organizing, planning, and launching projects. Steep learning curve though.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to build entire projects, document meetings and summarize action items from them, build creative backlogs, and connect different documents to keep things organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very steep learning curve to use the advanced functionality. Can get messy and is difficult to organize.
Sharing with people outside the org (e.g. vendors, contractors) get be difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collecting the marketing materials, assets, documentation needed to plan projects and campaigns
Planning projects and campaigns themselves
Keeping track of content and social media calendars
Brainstorming for creative ideas

It's helping me collect materials, keep all this organized, and keep track of tasks and timing for it all.

Notion is a fantastic, rich and beautiful documentation and knowledge hub

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Once you learn the syntax for Notion and how to navigate some of it's hotkeys it makes for a very rich documentation / knowledgebase experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there were more integrations with development tools and systems that could feed dynamic data into the documents and databases. This would kill off some of the things that end up in google spreadheets, populated by hand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Writing documentation that is used for Engineering. This includes projects, technical designs, and team dynamics. Notion's AI has been great for rewriting text into a succinct form. I can write up a paragraph, highlight it and have the AI express it in a way that reads better than my first draught - 90% of the time it maintains the meaning, even for technical infomation.

Held Back by Table Export Limitations

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is incredibly flexible and lets me bring together documents, notes, tasks, and databases all in one clean workspace. The interface is intuitive, the drag-and-drop structure makes reorganizing content effortless, and the ability to embed different types of media or link related pages is a big productivity boost. I especially appreciate how it allows me to keep everything—project briefs, task lists, and research—visually organized and easy to navigate. It’s also very customizable, so it can adapt to different workflows without forcing you into a rigid structure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inline tables are my biggest frustration. While they look fine inside Notion, exporting them for use elsewhere—especially in Word—becomes a messy process. The formatting rarely survives intact, and it often requires a lot of manual cleanup. There’s no native .docx export, so you have to go through workarounds like PDF or HTML exports, or CSV for tables, which means losing layout and styling. This is time-consuming, especially if you rely heavily on tables for reports or structured data. For a tool that excels at organization, this lack of smooth export options for formatted content is a noticeable gap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily use Notion as a writing tool for creating and organizing my project reports. It allows me to keep all my notes, data, and references in one place, which makes the writing process smoother and more structured. The ability to link related pages, embed visuals, and maintain version history ensures I can track changes easily and keep my reports well-organized. This has reduced the time I spend searching for information and improved the overall quality and consistency of my documentation.

The Writing Assistant is HUGE.

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its like having a specific agent to comb through all of your internal business knowledge management to pull together and create what you need. It truly is remarkable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the ability to export the tables it gives, and likewise, not being able to just import tables. Additionally, I wish there was more of a project management piece to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it daily as an assistant, to either ask questions, pull together information that no one has but is in every corner of our folders, and especially the writing assistant just makes it SO easy to format and create whatever you need.

Intuitive and Powerful, But Needs Better Visuals

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love using Notion for its intuitive interface and easy user experience, which makes it simple to organize my thoughts, documents, and projects. Its minimalistic and clean design is perfect for managing large amounts of documentation. Notion has become an indispensable part of my workflow, allowing seamless collaboration with team members. The organizational features like folders, subfolders, and layering content are particularly useful in enhancing user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the colors inside Notion, particularly text and highlight colors, too muted. The minimal contrast makes them not stand out, which affects visual clarity. More vivid colors would improve skimmability and scanability when navigating through documents and organizing pages with a lot of content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to solve organization issues, centralizing all documents and thoughts for easy access. It benefits my team by providing a unified platform for document management and collaboration, enhancing productivity.

The smartest and most flexible knowledge base I’ve ever used

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion AI has completely transformed how my team documents, organizes, and shares knowledge. We use it for everything—meeting notes, wikis, SOPs, project planning, and even brainstorming. The AI helps summarize pages, generate drafts, and answer questions within context, which saves us a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, performance can lag slightly with large workspaces, especially when there are many nested pages or embedded content. It also takes some onboarding to help new teammates understand how to structure content efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps us centralize onboarding documentation, processes, and team knowledge in one place, which makes ramping up new teammates much faster and smoother

Ultimate All-in-One Workspace for Organizing Work & Life!

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion’s flexibility is unmatched — I can manage projects, create databases, take notes, and collaborate with my team all in one place. I love how customizable the pages are, from adding kanban boards and timelines to embedding documents, videos, and integrations. The ease of use combined with its ability to adapt to any workflow makes it my go-to productivity tool. Its real-time collaboration features also make remote teamwork seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Notion is powerful, large databases can become slow to load, especially with heavy media files. Offline mode is still limited, which can be inconvenient when traveling or working in areas with unstable internet. It also has a slight learning curve for beginners who aren’t used to building their own workflows from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion consolidates multiple tools into a single platform, removing the need for separate apps for documentation, task tracking, and knowledge sharing. This not only reduces costs but also improves team efficiency by keeping all relevant information in one place. The ability to integrate AI-assisted writing has sped up content creation, brainstorming, and meeting note summarization, saving hours each week.
