Notion used in small law office
What do you like best about the product?
We use Notion to help jot notes about client meetings; link to task items, and keep tract of matters between office staff. The ability to link to other pages and assign tasks is much easier and user friendly than our existing client management software due to the all in one page and side views, versus having to open separate pages, etc. We use it in conjunction with our client management program. It is not a complete replacement.
What do you dislike about the product?
One very frustrating problem is not being able to export comments on pages, only the text input. When a matter is closed we like to print the corresponding Notion pages for the file. However, exporting does not include any comments, which are useful when staff makes notations regarding attempts to contact clients, quick status updates, etc.
I do wish the AI could be better trained, however, in learning a "writing style" of the respective user, as an individual voice and standard way we typically phrase things would be preferred over the typical AI reponses. Example, 'write a closing letter in "My Business Style" to a client regarding their matter" where I could bullet point a few things and it would know my preferred writing style would be a huge boost, and something I know other AI writing tools can implement. I'd also like better formatting options when it generates something so we can easily export to another document.
Also, it would be nice to have fully working integration with Google Calendar without an additional cost, given we already subscribe to the AI together with the program.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps us keep better tract of to-do items and linking between pages concerning client meetings, etc. Together with being about to drag and drop documents and materials necessary for follow up with those matters and tagging staff members and keeping a running status tab on matters keeps relevant tasks all in one place.
The AI is nice in helping us create forms, summarize meeting notes, summarize emails, etc. that we can use to make our practice more efficient. Learned writing styles and consistency amont the AI generated letters, summaries, etc. would be a nice improvement.

Great tool for structuring internal data repository
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Notion is its integration of AI functions which significantly enhance productivity and organization. The ability to use smart templates and databases to automate tasks is a game changer. Notion’s AI cleverly streamlines the process of managing information, from planning projects to tracking habits, all within an intuitive interface. The seamless synthesis of notes, tasks, and databases, powered by intelligent algorithms, makes it easier to connect ideas and get work done efficiently. Its AI capabilities help in transforming scattered thoughts into structured action plans, which is why I find it incredibly valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect of Notion that can be challenging is its reliance on advanced features, such as AI, to perform basic functions. For instance, without the AI to assist, I find it quite cumbersome to manually create and manage tables or to organize content effectively. The platform has a steep learning curve, and the absence of intuitive AI-driven guidance makes it difficult for me to set up even fundamental structures like databases or to sort information logically. This dependency on AI for essential tasks can be a significant barrier to maximizing the potential of Notion for those not well-versed in its more complex functionalities.

Notion streamlines our team's workflow by serving as a central hub for all critical information, encompassing everything from holiday schedules to comprehensive manuals and detailed documents pertaining to new releases.

Everyday tasks and managing multiple things at once. Using Q&A with AI to take minutes for meetings and help with answering questions about almost anything!

I love the databases and being able to organize my pages in a range of ways

There are some limitations, especially around formulas and moving things between databases or trying to integrate multiple databases together

It helps me organise my notes into manageable and accessible ways especially around task management being able to add dates and statuses.
Perfect companion to support project management activities
What do you like best about the product?
Helps organize thoughts and collect meeting notes. Helps create initial content and supports me in the ideation process. Love to use it to review notes to my team and emails to customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the AI solution is way too long and there is no way to ask it to shorten it when it is created by the tool without previous information. Would be nice if it had a feature to make shorter when AI creates content from scratch. It is also not clear where is the AI collecting information from (current page or the entire notebook).

Able to quickly take notes and organize them in a way that is in a clear format for review. Helps review clear and consistent messaging for my team.
One place for everything
What do you like best about the product?
The Pages are able to integrate about everything. It's a blank canvas to build training, management, or just brainstorm new ideas. The new AI is as good or better than Chat GBT

There is no Freeform pencil note taking.

Elaboration on ideas into a deliverable form. Easy organization of papers, notes, and links.
AI has changed how I worked
What do you like best about the product?
The built in AI feature has increased my use of Notion. I originally joined to keep the different parts of my life organized. I didn't do the best job setting up Notion in a way that it was seamless and easy to keep track of things, but the AI feature has brought me back. I use it for many different on a daily basis. The AI integration is seamless and is defintely something that has made work easier for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my opinion, Notion does a good job at sharing tutorials and how-to's, but the intital set up of a workflow that is sustainiable is pretty intimidating. There are a lot of features within Notion and understanding what works best for you can take a long time to figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me deal with the everyday tasks that can take up time. From properly wording an email or report to doing desk research about a topic. It helps me save a lot of time and mental labor that can be used for bigger picture tasks. Other than that it helps me with general brainstorming and has provided me with both insight and inspiration towards my work and personal tasks.

I love notion
What do you like best about the product?
I love how in notion I can add a bunch of events and take notes at the same time. I am a first-year college student studying Film and Television and can take beautiful, well-thought-out notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't enjoy the minimal amount of templates and the lack of formatting on the notes sheet. I wish when you were to input an image, you could rearrange it with the notes instead of having a full line and space dedicated to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a college student, Notion benefits me by allowing me to keep all my course materials, lecture notes, and assignments in one centralized location. I can easily create and organize different pages for each subject, add tags and labels for better categorization, and collaborate with classmates on group projects. The ability to customize templates and create personalized workflows also helps me stay organized and efficient in managing my academic tasks and deadlines. Overall, Notion has greatly improved my organization and productivity as a college student.
Experience Using Notion for Academic Setting
What do you like best about the product?
I have mainly been using Notion to check the quality of my writing, namely, catching spelling and grammatical errors. I find using and navigating Notion straightforward. Overall, I feel that my sentences have been restructured in a way that improves clarity. These days, I don't feel comfortable submitting my work without checking it using Notion first. I do pay the monthly subscription as a student, which I think is a reasonable price.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of Notion's suggestions sound grammatically unnatural or change the meaning of my words. I never submit my work corrected by Notion without first checking it myself. I sometimes don't accept Notion's changes, but at least Notion highlights concerns. I have noticed that Notion favors certain words and phrases, which risks making the writing repetitive.

I mainly use Notion to address spelling and grammatical errors and improve overall writing.
