Great organization tool

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how easy it is to organize information and use templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion AI is lacking and cannot input criteria into specific parts of my pages (e.g. inputting information into a database, correcting and replacing information in a template).

I would like to be able to customize the colors I use on my page, by using a color wheel/hex code numbers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion allows me to keep track of notes, make trackers, and make databases.

Powerful, Versatile, though a Bit Overwhelming at First

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is an incredibly powerful and flexible platform that I use daily. Its wide range of features makes it an exceptional project management tool, capable of handling everything from simple task lists to complex multi-database systems. The ability to integrate with other tools and customize workflows means it can fit seamlessly into almost any operational setup. Despite its depth, I’ve found it surprisingly easy to implement once the structure is set, and the organization it provides is unmatched. The platform’s versatility makes it ideal for both personal and team use, and customer support has been responsive and helpful when I’ve needed guidance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main drawback is the steep learning curve—its vast functionality can be overwhelming at first. For new users, it takes time to figure out how to structure pages and databases in a way that feels intuitive. While Notion AI is a great addition, it could be better at prioritizing the most recent and relevant information in responses. For those willing to invest the time, the payoff in productivity and organization is significant, but it’s worth noting the initial ramp-up period.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion centralizes all of my project management, documentation, and knowledge-sharing in one place, eliminating the need to juggle multiple tools. It allows me to create structured, linked databases that make tracking tasks, processes, and historical reference material seamless. This consolidation has reduced the time spent searching for information, improved team alignment, and given me a single source of truth for projects—especially when collaborating across departments. The flexibility to customize workflows means I can adapt it to different needs without losing efficiency, and its integrations ensure that it fits smoothly into my daily operations.

So much potential!

What do you like best about the product?
The versitility and range of applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it has a bit of a learning curve for less tech-savvy users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion can be used to replace so many other software solutions out there. We were able to build our entire organization's onboarding process into Notion, use it as an intranet, a project manager, a note-taking aid, an AI meeting note-taker and so much more. I also use the calendar and mail features and there so much smarter and more intuitive than many other options out there.

An amazing tool to navigate our gigantic company documentation

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's the best way to document stuff in a collaborative fashion, super useful and easy in most use-cases, and with the usage of AI, incredibly powerful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Whenever I want to tackle some complex integration or automation, I ran into a wall that doesn't allow me to get that last-mile configuration. Those are super specific cases, such as setting the initial index of a prefix that's already preset for a database, or better using the properties within the automations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Writing lots of documentation and working collaboratively with my peers.

Game Changer!

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a new Project Manager, Notion has been a game changer! The new Forms layout makes it easy for teammates to open tickets with me, and I'm notified immediately. It's also easy to communicate on tickets/pages with team members.

I LOVE the AI Search feature that allows me to utilize ALL company resources within Notion to provide an answer, as well as to browse ChatGPT for other topics as well.

The pre-existing templates have also been great, there are a ton of different templates for everything you can think of. I've used the templates oten.
What do you dislike about the product?
This may be a setting that I'm unaware of as I wasn't involved in the setup of our Notion account, but if we could restrict teams to only use pre-approved templates for each of their departments, that would be ideal. Currently each department has set up their own page and the lack of consistency is confusing.

Additionally, there are some nuances in formatting some of the pages, but this is likely due to user error :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously I was using Notes and Google Sheets to help me try and stay organized. Notion has been very beneficial in streamlining our processes, the ticketing process allows visibility at a high (and low) level, and it's helpful to showcase all the projects I've been working on to leadership, and the steps that have been involved to get a project from A-Z.

It's been great for organizing, planning, and launching projects. Steep learning curve though.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to build entire projects, document meetings and summarize action items from them, build creative backlogs, and connect different documents to keep things organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very steep learning curve to use the advanced functionality. Can get messy and is difficult to organize.
Sharing with people outside the org (e.g. vendors, contractors) get be difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collecting the marketing materials, assets, documentation needed to plan projects and campaigns
Planning projects and campaigns themselves
Keeping track of content and social media calendars
Brainstorming for creative ideas

It's helping me collect materials, keep all this organized, and keep track of tasks and timing for it all.

Notion is a fantastic, rich and beautiful documentation and knowledge hub

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Once you learn the syntax for Notion and how to navigate some of it's hotkeys it makes for a very rich documentation / knowledgebase experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there were more integrations with development tools and systems that could feed dynamic data into the documents and databases. This would kill off some of the things that end up in google spreadheets, populated by hand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Writing documentation that is used for Engineering. This includes projects, technical designs, and team dynamics. Notion's AI has been great for rewriting text into a succinct form. I can write up a paragraph, highlight it and have the AI express it in a way that reads better than my first draught - 90% of the time it maintains the meaning, even for technical infomation.

Held Back by Table Export Limitations

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is incredibly flexible and lets me bring together documents, notes, tasks, and databases all in one clean workspace. The interface is intuitive, the drag-and-drop structure makes reorganizing content effortless, and the ability to embed different types of media or link related pages is a big productivity boost. I especially appreciate how it allows me to keep everything—project briefs, task lists, and research—visually organized and easy to navigate. It’s also very customizable, so it can adapt to different workflows without forcing you into a rigid structure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inline tables are my biggest frustration. While they look fine inside Notion, exporting them for use elsewhere—especially in Word—becomes a messy process. The formatting rarely survives intact, and it often requires a lot of manual cleanup. There’s no native .docx export, so you have to go through workarounds like PDF or HTML exports, or CSV for tables, which means losing layout and styling. This is time-consuming, especially if you rely heavily on tables for reports or structured data. For a tool that excels at organization, this lack of smooth export options for formatted content is a noticeable gap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily use Notion as a writing tool for creating and organizing my project reports. It allows me to keep all my notes, data, and references in one place, which makes the writing process smoother and more structured. The ability to link related pages, embed visuals, and maintain version history ensures I can track changes easily and keep my reports well-organized. This has reduced the time I spend searching for information and improved the overall quality and consistency of my documentation.

The Writing Assistant is HUGE.

  • August 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its like having a specific agent to comb through all of your internal business knowledge management to pull together and create what you need. It truly is remarkable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the ability to export the tables it gives, and likewise, not being able to just import tables. Additionally, I wish there was more of a project management piece to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it daily as an assistant, to either ask questions, pull together information that no one has but is in every corner of our folders, and especially the writing assistant just makes it SO easy to format and create whatever you need.
