Versatile Tool with Great UI, Slight Setup Challenge
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Notion for managing various aspects of my work such as budgeting, salary tracking, and planning trial plans. It was recommended to me as a planner tool, enabling me to organize tasks like a planning book or to-do list and sprint items. Notion is incredibly helpful and manageable, making it easy to handle everyday to-do lists, which really enhances my productivity by effectively listing out things that need to be done by the end of the day. Additionally, I appreciate Notion's dynamic templates and the ability to create and share perfect templates among users, which I find very helpful. The user interface (UI) is also excellent, and the configurable elements make it superior compared to its competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the profile setup with Notion a bit challenging. It is not only somewhat difficult but also time-consuming to find the right template with configurable items. Additionally, I think there is room for improvement in the real-time session capabilities when making or editing templates, or handling components and the overall UI. This lack limits personalization, which would otherwise enhance the user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Notion resolves daily task management issues, offering easy-to-manage to-do lists that improve my productivity.
Great for Organizing Files, But Database Feature Is Confusing
What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can keep all of your important files and resources in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is tricky to figure out and I still don't understand the database function even though I have done a lot of trainings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It houses all of my files and information in one place. I call it my business and life website.
Powerful Call Notes, But AI Agents Need More Flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
The note taking of calls and the notes, trascript. This is powerful to me for many situations where customer does not let AI in for 'recording'
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI Agents were lacking connections and flexability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
THe AI assistant and note taking was very helpful in my day to day role as a Sales person.
Versatile and Organized, But AI Needs Some Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Notion provides an easy set-up process with a supportive team that responds quickly, which helped me get started without much hassle. The platform's extensive documentation and available shortcuts make it easier to learn and use its various features efficiently. Notion's ability to solve organization problems has been instrumental in helping my team scale our impact significantly. I find the use of pages and databases very effective for managing different companies and contacts, and it also aids in building a comprehensive database for AI model training. The integration with tools like Google Mail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar has greatly facilitated my workflow. I also really like how clean and organized the interface is, as it helps keep my team organized. The regular updates to the AI features indicate a commitment to keeping the platform current and impactful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the AI features in Notion to be somewhat underdeveloped and not as robust as I would like. It has taken me some time to figure out exactly how to use and leverage the AI agent mode effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to solve organization problems, helping my team scale our impact. It aids in organizing databases, contacts, and project management while ensuring financials are in order. This organization allows us to build a large database for AI training data, enhancing our productivity.
Notion AI Impresses, But Auto-Save and Databases Need Work
What do you like best about the product?
I was skeptical at first, but it's really grown on me. I like that you can have one document and then share that into several different spaces, so that it can stay updated. The AI is top-of-the line and I really love it! I wish we'd taken more time to map out how we wanted our Notion to look, but that's on us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do have trouble with the "auto-saving". I will go to creat something, click on the link, and there, it's saved. It's not easy to cancel or delete mistakes, and the databases are hard to understand (but Notion AI really helps).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm better able to sort my work and see it "all together" and that helps me prioritize. I mostly use it as a repository for my team, where I store announcements, work processes, technical and how-to documentation, and more.
Great experience as a university student
What do you like best about the product?
Notion helps me to keep track of my deadlines and also my important dates like test day, group due date, ... Also, as a university student, Notion helps me to put every lesson's slides, notes,... into one place and helps me to keep track of my learning progress and to be better prepared. Overall I very much like Notion, with a decorative setting and some aesthetic vibe, everything can be imported to Notion Workspace.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the AI is slow, and also sometimes the setting lags. I think it's because my workspace has a lot of information to load.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me to keep track of my learning progress by various forms of command, and a lot of amenities to import to the main workspace. I can now see all my deadlines, important dates, ... in one place, thanks to Notion.
Effortless Organisation with Powerful Structuring
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to say organised. Being able to create and store pages within a page is a game changer, and allows me to keep everything centralised per project. The text formatting options are also great!
What do you dislike about the product?
Search can be tricky sometimes unless you know roughly where a file is or what it’s called. That said, the file organisation is much better, so I rarely need to rely on search.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Works much better than Google Docs. It's very easy for me to complete my synthesis and share it out to other members of the team or the wider org.
Great Organization, But Setup Is Challenging
What do you like best about the product?
Organization of notion is really good. But requires a good set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
It s really hard to set it up initially which makes it annoying to get started
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me turn my lecture notes into organized notes in one place.
Primary Source of Information for Company, Needs More Intuitive Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Due to the culture of Notion use at my company, Notion has become a really helpful tool for storing information. Notion AI has become such a game changer, what I used to dislike was the search functionality, but now I just leverage Notion AI.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times where Notion is not intuitive (for me) in terms of building out pages. I also wish it was a better collaboration tool so that I could exclusively use it vs also heavily relying on Google docs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing the need for an intranet and having a repository of information on teams/policies/work/etc.
Powerful Centralized Tool with Custom Views, But Steep Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate having a central system that is utilized within and across teams to access common data, especially since we can all have our own unique view settings in databases.
I am expected to use Notion hourly (or more), but I have struggled to reach 100% adoption because I'm still anchored in Google Workspace.
Speaking of, there is some really strong Workspace integration that makes centralizing information more seamless than ever. If we can figure out the best practice (for us) in setting up pages and projects, we'll get to feel the full benefit of activation.
The interface is generally intuitive, at least to those familiar with similar tools, although there is a steep learning curve at the beginning. When you have a tool that can do as much as Notion can do, there's obviously going to be some time spent learning the sitemap.

What do you dislike about the product?
I find that some records are linked across projects or views in ambiguous ways. This is probably due to how we're using Notion, but it can become excruciating to track down the meaning behind files with similar names.
It would be very easy to accidentally share my private pages with my professional workspace teammates. This can become a problem when documenting sensitive information for HR, for example.
It would be very easy to accidentally share my private pages with my professional workspace teammates. This can become a problem when documenting sensitive information for HR, for example.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is used to centrally unify efforts across disparate teams nationwide in real-time. There are also frequent updates when edits are made to pages/databases - although these can be somewhat ambiguous ("Someone mentioned you in Meeting Notes" but then offers no clarity as to which meeting or project, if the notes file title doesn't include that information.)
