The one tool for all my needs
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is very intuitive and easy to use. It's very practical in order to create libraries of documents, share them, etc. It's also great that there are so many functions like tables, call out, todo lists, images, comments, etc
What do you dislike about the product?
The table function is very annoying. Differently from excel, I cannot do real bulk actions, copy and paste properly, etc. Once tables are gonna be more developed, this tool is gonna be a must for every online worker. I'd like also to have a feature like ppt for lresentations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing documents. Have a single place for full documentation at single, team and company level. We are now using notion even to write technical specs for developers since it's very easy and quick to use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To me it's an essential tool.
It’s a great way to create a custom inventory for whatever you want.
What do you like best about the product?
Upsides are customization, filtering and
What do you dislike about the product?
It's fairly complex to learn. I like figuring things out myself and building my own templates but it seems like it's easier to use a pre-built template than create your own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to keep track of blog posts. I track various properties and notio allows me to sort them in multiple ways.
The best tool for private notes and team collaborations
What do you like best about the product?
Databases, open API, easy collaboration, markdown and the best wyswyg I ever seen.
What do you dislike about the product?
API sometime is terrible (blocks, nah - I just want to make my page from markdown)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teams roadmaps synchronizing, transparency, wikis
Simple Note Organization
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the UI is easy to navigate and that there are many options for customizing the format of a note. I like that there are many templates ready to use, I use the Task List to keep track of my progress during development sprints.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Team Plan limits the amount of block storage available and forces an upgrade to get more space. I think it would be nice to allow for more space if the team is smaller.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to stay organized and reference and update my notes while working. It benefits me by allowing me to quickly get information for a specific feature/bug that I prepared before the development sprint.
Formatting can be quite difficult even if you are a power user.
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to organize my personal and business documentation. It is a useful wiki and tracker. The organization hierarchy is very helpful for me to see visually in the side panel.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the formatting and proprietary keystrokes. Embedding often does not align within blocks easily. Search is not always accurate. Need more integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to store internal documentation, meeting notes, personal notes, and to-do lists. I can organize it in a variety of ways that allows my team better access to resources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Duplication of databases can happen quite often, be wary of how you organize your information.
So much flexibilty
What do you like best about the product?
Very flexible design. Great if you want to have your tasks organized differently. If working with a team, the filters and sorting features are great. Each person can view if to their preferences without bothering other teammates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The table/database features are not an excel spreadsheet replacement. It can do basic math but the sorting and high level statistical analysis cannot be done on the tables.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing task status with other teammates is helpful to show what project tasks are complete. Good for check-in meetings so that people know if tasks are worked on and adding tasks for teammates to work on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out as your personal task manager before sharing it with others to understand what features are best for your workflow.
Notion keeps me organised
What do you like best about the product?
It looks really good and you can create lots of different views to organised information in a very visual way!
I love the use of emojis and how you can share this pages publically, which always look great.
I love the use of emojis and how you can share this pages publically, which always look great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is not so user friendly, moving pages to different areas can sometimes be tricky. For example, you can end up losing pages if you aren't careful. Moving things around on pages can also be quite difficult too!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Shared area for our company, and writing up my notes and drafts
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test it out first!
Super friendly to use, can have everything organized in the same place
What do you like best about the product?
LInk block to avoid duplicating the information, inline tables, embedding a google doc, adding emojis to my texts!
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't perform formulas per field (like a spreadsheet) in the databases, that'd be awesome!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing info with the team (in a really visible way) allows us to have real-time information and being able to collaborate
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give a change and see if it fits your needs :)
Notion is one of the new generation of tool-building tools, but requires discipline to use
What do you like best about the product?
- Simple, flexible content model.
- Simple, robust layout.
- Relational tables are a game changer.

- Relational tables are a game changer.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Lack of automation (despite acquiring an automation company).
- Very poor import/export functionality, especially related to tables and relations.
- Weak formula language, rather than using a more robust existing approach to scripting.
- Poor management of property layout and visibility.
- Lack of follow-through on database views: views don't apply to relation properties.
- Underpowered rollup properties: can't be accessed by value, can't be used in rollups.
- Poor history view.
- Lack of "suggest changes" view when editing collaboratively, making review of edits impractical.
- Way too easy to unintentionally cause havoc by editing/deleting properties that are used in views you don't even know exist. There are no safety belts.
- The UI for editing table views and properties has had an overhaul. While streamlining certain things and adding capabilities, it also became rather cluttered and obscure.

Notion enables capturing of all types of inter-related structured information, eliminating duplication.
It allows easy and flexible presentation of relevant information via filtered views.
It enables easy revision of content models and restructuring of information, allowing an evolutionary approach to workspace building.

Appoint someone to be an active Editor in Chief, or your workspace will be a big ball of mud.
Most useful app for students!
What do you like best about the product?
As a student, i particularly like the rich note-taking experience that notion provides. I can use the standard mardown langauage for note taking, but can also attach and embed links, attach PDFs, use TeX for math, and so on.
The most useful feature of notion however, is it's pwoerful databases, I used them to organize my notes, track my project progress and even make a resource map. I have even used databases to track my rally times in Dirt Rally 2.0!

What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that is sorely missing in the notion note taking experience is tables, we do have databases, but sometimes all you want is a simple table. Additionally, writing functions and automations for databases could be made simpler and more intuituve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion also makes sharing and collaborating especially easy and intuitive. It was specially useful in group projects and in collaborating on stuff during the WFH times. My team really appreciated the inbuilt kanban board.
