After testing many project management apps, i found the best life/work management tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the simplicity of dumping content, sharing it and integrating with other tools
What do you dislike about the product?
hard to learn. with so many options, you need to take your time to understand the hierarchy of content. and pricing could be better for teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data kept in our brains is volatile. Dump it to notion easily and fast. Multiple projects, from personal home care to having a band and work projects, become easy to maintain with customizable layouts and WYSIWYG-style content writing.
Overall good experience
What do you like best about the product?
I think the best part is it's fast and can sync across all the divices without any additional steps.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have to connect to the internet in order to use motion, which is troublesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me to collaborate with my colleagues efficiently and synchronously. And the new AI functionality is really awesome.
Very helpful for University Students
What do you like best about the product?
I loved the ability to customize the document and add templates. The AI feature that notion included as imposing as it gave the power to document editing. Notion detects code, so adding snippets of code is more accessible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though there are a few dislikes about Notion, I would say there are only three limited fonts for which we can write the documents. The AI sometimes goes crazy and doesn't do anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The notion bridges the gap between regular text editors and customisability with modern tools like AI, etc. It is also giving ease of use for its users, especially university students.
A good tool to organise yourself and your work
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it has different templates that makes it easy for me to use for all kind of tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the templates are auto-filled with data and it is painful to remove them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is saving me a lot of them finding templates that might not be suitable for my tasks in the end.
Love using notion
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can organize so much stuff in there. I can embed live views of so many things. The templates are super handy. I love switching from my desktop to my iPad to my phone.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little confusing when you first start using it. I feel like it took me a while to realize how I could get the most out of it. I'm definitely still learning even a year later but I know much more than before.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm obsessed with notion ai. I love pulling action items out of meeting notes and the summarize option is so fantastic. I have a summary at the top of every meeting doc now so folks can see at a glance what was discussed
Fantastic tool for someone who spends a good portion of their day in front of a computer.
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility, relational databases, the mobile application for quick notes or reference. Great for team collaboration, can be confusing for those new to this type of interface to get comfortable with vs a traditional microsoft or siloed progra like Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
Relational databases do require you to have an idea of what you want before you build it, lack of a node or mind mapping tool that is integrated... Some ability to cross ref notes more easily similar to Obsidian.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used it several times to change the tone of a paragraph - I've also used it extensively to take notes and thoughts and have the AI generate outlines, summaries, etc. for me. It has also been a great tool for consolidating disparate information into a singular thought and narrowing it down into organized, well-written, text. (It is hard to justify $10/mo + paying for services like ChatGPT Plus when I get more usefulness out of general use vs the narrative editing with Notion AI.)
Organized Manner For Keeping Track of Notes
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the functionality of the pages and the ability to be able to put together multiple pages in a structured manner. Specifically, with Notion AI, it helps with putting together the page quickly as a strong start.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that the blocks seem disconnected. When I move from one block to another, for example for a written text, sometimes it is within one block, and other times, it is across multiple blocks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving my problem of keeping track of notes and it acts as an efficient knowledge base. Specifically, I tended to struggle with finding ways to keep track of the items I learned over time - Notion has been a helpful way of solving this problem.
Notion AI integration: well done!
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is good for creating and organizing shared notes, but the recent AI integration really supercharges the user experience. I love using it for brainstorming and creating rough v1 drafts for various things.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's really not much I don't like about Notion... other than the fact that I've been using Evernote for over a decade, so I'm deeply invested in that platform offering a very similar product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy and convenient interface for using chatGPT/AI support. The sharing function works well too, and eases collaboration with various teams.
Notion makes writing easier
What do you like best about the product?
I like that through a series of prompts, I can improve my writing.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been a few down times when Notion has been unavailable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I have been writing for a while, I get writers block and I can then ask AI for what I need.
A Game Changer!
What do you like best about the product?
I love its comprehensive and customisable features, from the vast selection of properties and database views to icons and colours. It's also fantastic on all of my devices. Plus! They are constantly pushing out new features and updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have to say the learning curve is pretty steep — I know of people who tried to get started and gave up. As a long-time user, I wish the exported pdf documents looked as good as it does in-app. I would also love the option of changing the font size (currently, it's between 'small' and 'smaller').
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily use Notion to brainstorm, organise my thoughts, and collect research links in one place. Its integration and compatibility with other apps like Chrome have improved my productivity. I find myself going back to Notion time and time again for all of my notetaking needs.
