Versatile, User-Friendly, Yet Lacks Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
I think that Notion is a really user-friendly platform. It's super simple, and whenever you want to build something, you're not aware of the great amount of possibilities they offer. You can do everything in Notion. Whenever you start using it, maybe you're not familiar with the different tools and possibilities, but once you dig in, you realize how easy it is to create everything. I would describe it as a blank paper where you can create everything you want. I really like the ability to have different pages and link them if you want. You can start with something simple like a main page and then go further to create more specific things, which means you can go as deep as you want.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that integrations maybe, as I'm, like, the marketing manager from my company, I would like it to be, like, more integrated to different social media management tools or maybe, like, another CRMs. So right now, we're using Customer IO, but we're also using, like, Sprout Social to schedule everything. So it would be ideal to have everything centralized. So it means that whatever we write in Notion, it gets directly scheduled into these other platforms. Because right now, we're using more, like, as a brief. If we could already have it, like, everything centralized and bring everything through Notion, that would be ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion solves our problem of clear workflow management, ensuring everyone knows their tasks and centralizing everything so we use one platform where everyone is aware of all activities.
Intuitive, Powerful UI That Connects Projects, Tasks, and Workflows Seamlessly
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the UI’s visual layout and how seamlessly everything can be connected, from creating projects to linking tasks and setting up daily workflows. It makes it easy to organize everything in one place, while still feeling simple to use and very powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the team that tried to train us on Notion had done a better job, either by running smaller sessions or by structuring the training differently. For larger enterprises, it would make more sense to lean on the YouTube videos that explain how the tool works, and then use live time for questions or deeper guidance. I also felt like the sessions were led by SMEs rather than a dedicated trainer, and that a bit of a “curse of knowledge” made it harder to follow and fully understand the material.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps me far more organized than any other tool I’ve used in the past. I can make quick updates, and it also lets me create things quickly when I need to.
Powerful Tool for Project Management with Integration Challenges
What do you like best about the product?
I find Notion's interface really easy to understand and digestible. I appreciate Notion AI, which has helped me build a lot of my databases and understand how to use the tool. I also like the AI note transcription and summary and how it connects to Slack.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I have to have a canonical database for ALL of my tasks so my team can have a taskboard view. This is difficult because I manage many projects, each with their own database to stay organized, and the fact I can't link to multiple projects at once as a related to project is frustrating and creates having to do a lot of workarounds. It's been really challenging actually. The Notion trainings we had were not particularly helpful for project management, more for personal use, and the migration has been lengthy. I've had to build everything in my private page and share with the team instead of on the team's account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for project tracking, creating a team wiki, and task management. Notion AI helps me build databases and understand the tool better.
Customizable and User-Friendly, But Limited Free Plan
What do you like best about the product?
I like how customizable Notion is. I really enjoy that you can add your own branding to the landing pages. The AI capabilities are also something I like, as you can ask the AI to code features in. The setup was super easy, and it has been really easy for the team to get the hang of using the interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the issues that we keep running into under the free account is that you can only have one user on the account. As a marketing leader, I would love other departments to be able to access our main Notion account under the free subscription, but that's not possible. So we're having to create multiple accounts for different departments. I'm finding there's a lot of limitations with the free version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to host promotional kits for partners. It solves our hosting issues by providing an easy-to-use platform and creates almost a landing page for each kit, which we can brand.
Versatile AI Tools and Agent AI That Deliver
What do you like best about the product?
It various functions with AI tools. Agent AI
What do you dislike about the product?
Training support. Learning curve might be long
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A central platform with different functions
Intuitive UI, Great Formatting, and a Smooth Workflow
What do you like best about the product?
UI, formatting options, overall workflow. Ease of sharing items. It's easy to drop notes in often. Easy to set up and get people flowing
What do you dislike about the product?
The nesting nature of pages I think can get unwieldy and messy fast. The calendar adds transcripts to private pages that are awkward to find later.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's nice for documentation and sharing information. Guidance docs, how tos, onboarding, etc. Makes info sharing more async and reliable. Can be helpful to organize group ideas.
Flexible Team Collaboration with Notion
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility and the multiple options that Notion provides. It's really good because anything we think of is pretty much possible inside the platform. Collaborating with team members is also good. I appreciate the options to put the deadlines on each project and define collaborators and main ownership, which are all really good definitions. I also like that I can link Google Drive, YouTube, and other external links, which are important parts of the project, and they're all easily linked in Notion.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the priority which is decided as per the deadline or the timeline pretty much ends up there. I don't usually receive notifications whenever a task is due. The notifications are within Notion, but it would help if I would get notification, let's say, on my email or somewhere else on Slack. Something like that so that we are more aware of an approaching deadline and can act before time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for scheduling shared calendars, email and in-app marketing, messaging, and team collaboration, ensuring effective external communication.
Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I find the search really easy to use, and it can pull up information from one project or across many projects. I also appreciate using Notion AI to summarize information from past projects that I can use going forward and things like proposals or requests for information. If I'm on a call for a project, I can very quickly pull up answers to questions I might not otherwise know the answer to. I can also find relevant information to include in the discussion and afterwards, I use it to consolidate all of the information that I just shared on that call.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion provides a centralized place for my project notes, structures data efficiently, and makes it easy to share collaboration pages. Its search feature quickly finds information, and Notion AI summarizes past projects for future use.
Love the Experience, but Notification System Needs to be more effective
What do you like best about the product?
Good tool to collaborate across the team, scheduling shared calendars, and tracking progress of tasks where multiple contributors are involved. Its is easy to use and self-explanatory.
What do you dislike about the product?
A notification system, when deadlines are approaching or when tasks are overdue, I never get notified/ do not know how to set up notifications unless I open the app. The sub-projects are sometimes not seen easily while looking at an overview of projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it as a project management tool within our marketing team. It does a good job with enough flexibility and options to create projects and link (drive/social etc) and assign roles to other team members.
AI-Powered Efficiency Booster for Work and Life
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion for everything, and I love the AI Writing assistant, which speeds up drafting and polishing emails and outreach without losing my style. The AI assistant is a game-changer, helping me build new functionality and speeding up the learning curve and production of databases and templates. I also appreciate the knowledge management and enterprise search features for quickly finding documents and information when I need it. Dashboards are another great feature, helping me visualize and centralize data points. I highly recommend Notion for both work and life, and with the AI helping to build, it's easier to set up now.
What do you dislike about the product?
A 'reverse' / undo feature would be helpful. I wish there was a function like in Word where you can 'undo' your last changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for managing, organizing, and capturing data. The AI Writing assistant speeds up drafting and learning, while dashboards help visualize and centralize data points. It's integrated with Gmail and other AI models for seamless functionality.
