The best app for your custom workflow

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion lets you create your ideal workspace.
Thanks to the various custiomisation options every user can find and archieve the perfect workspace according to his needs.
I love expecially the timeline and kanban views.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion team decided to keep less *deep customisation* features such as a color picker for text and highlighting.
While the basic colours are enough for my needs, some of them need some adjustments.
For example the colours like yellow, orange and brown are very similar.
Another thing I don't like is the impossibility to make someone without an account edit a page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all the tasks in one place.
Organize them in the way I like.
Share all the lists with colleagues.
If the circumstances change for some reason, Notion is flexible and can easily change.

A powerful tool with so much flexibility to fit anyones needs.

What do you like best about the product?
Notion addressed many issues I had with other productivity platforms. Incredible control, flexibility and freedom with how I want my workflows to be set up. I'm also a visual based person so the ability to have many different views for the same data set and colour code things to my hearts content is a joy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was quite a bit of a learning curve at the beginning. Sometimes finding controls to edit or adjust things would be hard to find at times. I also encountered a limitation with merging data sets in a specific way which, sadly wasn't able to fully rectified but support was very helpful with compromising solutions and mentioned they are looking into that functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion solves the problems of every other productivity or planning platform. I never got enough control or flexibility. Common tools or features locked behind specific paywalls.

Notion gives you a lot for their free tier, and you aren't restricted by their free team plan in features or capability.

Great tool for centralising notes for a business.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily share notes with colleagues and also the ease of keeping notes for yourself.
It also has useful shortcuts and the ability to link other pages in your notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't make sure to set up a structure in your notes it can get quite messy. For the rest, it's an awesome tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping to easily find topics and articles from other departments.

The face of remote onboarding

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a remote company, with employees spread across the globe, Notion allows us to create a tailored onboarding program for new team members using templates and linking to all the relevant links/pages/documents that are going to set that newbie up for success.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not optimized for interactive, live team documents. Google Docs is still the preferred tool for living docs. It also would be rgeat to see free forming tools introduced, like Miro, so that you could collaborate with teams all in one space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It acts as our companies wiki. It stores all of our roadmaps, goals, and processes. Personally, I use Notion for my to-do's and for building up onboarding programs for new hires.

Simply the all in one best app

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You can arrange any sentences, to-do, projects, ideas, and so on...as you prefer, freely. Clear interface and easy to understand and start.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formulas are not very handy and tricky to use; there are more straightforward solutions. Adding colors and formatting options in tables could be attractive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can have all my work and personal wiki in just one app. My daily logs, activities, to-do list, planning and routines, bookmarks and notes during a meeting, all that well organized in Notion and always available on all my devices. I don't need any other app to manage different works.

Best note-taking app that is much more than just a note-taking app

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very easy to use and quite intuitive. It has a lot of functionalities, such as integration of Latex, code blocks, and much more.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a bit of time to get use to the concept.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keep a clean overview over different areas at work or in private.

Awesome all in one app that can do most of what I need it to do

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I had been looking for something like Notion for a very long time. I am a systematic person by nature, and when I make notes or work on a project, I need to be able to have information stored where I can access them. Initially I had tried doing this on some other note-taking apps, but I had found them to be too constrictive, forcing me to work in a manner that suited their workflow, not mine.
Notion has helped me do just that - arrange my information in a way that suits my workflow.
I don't use it exclusively because I find that there are other apps that meet the requirements of my workflow, but how I use Notion is that it becomes the system that ties all the other systems together. For example in my Work Notion, I have links to Google Drive and One Drive where I can store my files in a set place, and link Notion to them. Likewise, I store useful links and other things on my Notion as well, so that I have access to them any time I need them, without having to dig through the mountains of information in my WhatsApp, email etc.
I love what Notion has enabled me to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is quite a steep learning curve to Notion which may deter users who just want to try it out. For me, once I got over the initial learning curve I began to enjoy putting my work together for ease of use. Another thing that I don't quite like is that Notion forces you also to do things their way, and you have to experiment what works and what doesn't. The interface also gets clunky sometimes.
Perhaps my biggest complaint is the very slow speed it takes to access files that are stored on it. This is why I like using links to cloud drives instead of keeping the files on Notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps to get all the information that I need in one single place. It works around the way I structure my thoughts, and helps me to keep organised, spending less time hunting for items, and more time for productivity and creativity.

Standard in the industry, but not the first choice for specific use

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
notion for me is a sandbox that you can customize for use. useful for the collaboration between teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Great for the basic useage, but when we need some specific or high tech, notion is not the first choice for the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
team collaboration, like the scheduling, meeting history collection, docs collections.

A life organiser tool with the power of AI

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ever since I learnt how to use Notion, I've been deploying it in one way or the other. I use it to upload all of my personal documents. Professionally I use it to create storyboards and AI to improve my writing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The databases and calendars can get a little complicated. The UI sometimes changes without warning. Like the calender module.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staying organised more than anything. I used to be a novice writer and now I can just dump what I have in my mind and ask AI to make it better for me

    Oriol T.

My most used tool at work

  • February 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of adding content in an extremely fast and collaborative way
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a couple of improvements already shared with the team:
1. Navigation through Notion: clicking on Notion links from Notion app doesn't add a new tab, it redirects. It doesn't help keeping focused on one thing
2. Search engine could be better
3. More intelligence for repeated tasks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of everything and creating a documentation culture is hard and Notion helps us a lot with that.

Everyone is up to speed and onboarding processes have been rated as the best processes employees have ever seen
