Love having AI integrated with Notion

  • May 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use notion for project management and content creation: content calendar, as well as drafting blog and social posts. I most use the AI integrated with notion when drafting blog posts which allows me to write faster, or I shorten sections I've already written that can then be transferred to social media posts. I also use it to change the tone of my writing if I'm trying to be more professional or casual.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion needs to incorporate tracked changes like Google Docs! My editor leaves comments on my Notion pages, which is helpful. However, if they could make the change directly with the previous section crossed out (but still there/usable), we could collaborate virtually on editing. I often have to move my writing to Google Docs to be able to finalize the post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Faster writing and editing, project management: better organization of content and tracking of future content (content calendar).

What do you like best about the product?
The AI Writing Assistant is amazingggggg!!! I really appreciate it when writing essays as it gives me some structure in writing drafts. When compared to competitors, notion really outdoes other sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing! I absolutely love motion as it works wonderfully
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My biggest problem when seritinh essays is starting. I live putting in a prompt on notion and as it then gives me a structure to work with that has increased production

Love Notion AI. I recommend it to my colleagues.

What do you like best about the product?
- I use it to help me write professional and clear emails.

- I also use it to plan out a skeleton for a project that I am working on.

- I feel more confident in my writing

- I take less time writing out ideas or communicating with partners and staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Since I use Notion AI to write out professional emails. I wish I could edit all my emails and messages using the same Notion page. I must create different pages for every other email; otherwise, AI stays on the same subject.

- I wish that the back button was more user-friendly. Some messages or email history on AI have been deleted.

- It would be awesome if there was an option to click on tutorials to better use AI and other functions on the same Notion page I am using. There is so much Notion can do, and I feel I only use it at a limited capacity. On other platforms, I have to hunt down information or tutorials; it would be great just to have it more accessible and easier to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- It organizes ideas better.

- Love the layout of how notes can be shared with teams. The way I see Notion is like creating mini webpages where people can find information.

- With AI my writing has improved and it has saved me a lot of time. I would spend 15 minutes writing out an email, making sure the tone and spelling is correct. With AI I just tell it what I need to have and it does it really well.

OBSESSED with notion for small business

  • May 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easily my team & I can keep track of our projects and update our status in real-time. It's a super collaborative, intuitive, beautiful tool. I just love it!
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the only downside to Notion is that it's SO customizable that it can be a bit tricky to determine the best way to use it for your specific needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is helping me organize my small business in a central location -- it allows me to assign to-dos to my team in a highly visible way. I also love how you can click into the 'pages' to write comments about each specific task. So helpful!!

Useful for all kinds of work!

What do you like best about the product?
I use notion for everything I do business & personal. It is useful for me to keep track of my progress as this is made easy with the different integrations on there. It's like all the Microsoft tools in one!
What do you dislike about the product?
You are unable to view billing on a phone or iPad, but otherwise love everything about Notion. I do wish other people can access boards created on their own app rather than just on safari/having to create a duplicate board for download.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me to create a social media plan as well as write up quick pieces to help my personal training clients. I am more productive and my business performance has improved massively! Wouldn't be where I am in my business without Notion.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of access. It is so simple to access and uses to improve all aspects of life. The best thing about the AI is the Grammer and Spelling Checker, along with the ability to use all information on a page.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recently it has been offline more frequently thne in the past. Same as other AI tools its a shame there is no way to customize it for a workspace or to a certain page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The AI helps me sort out my thoughts into useable piece of information. It helps with the aDHD and making things fun and me to want to do things. I have seen my out put increase daily

Amazing tool for task and note organizations

  • May 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a project manager, Notion helps me organize everything about my work. I love using the database features to ensure that I can keep track of meetings and all of the notes that tie to a specific customer and the date they occurred. Notion AI helps immensely with this, as I've created a template with blocks for summarizing the meeting and identifying action items. The task list helps me organize and keep track of daily to-dos and specific follow-ups for customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
For how I am using notion, I do not see any downsides. I think it would be nice to have a "suggestion" mode for editing shared documents so that the document owner can accept or deny changes and it is easy to track.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me keep everything about my long list of clients that I am supporting and implementing organized. It elevates the organization and cleanliness of my meeting notes, helps me make sure that I am not dropping any tasks, and allows me to quickly and easily review the history of notes and tasks for a specific client.

Great but requires caution

What do you like best about the product?
Notion AI has been a tremendous help, but I need options (even pay more), to keep my data. Is of little business use, if my confidential data is used to train a model.
What do you dislike about the product?
The text editor often feels clunky. I would appreciate a more fluet experience like Quip or Medium. Oftentimes my intents, for example to copy/paste a selection, is completely miss understood, and that never happens at other Markdown based editors such as Quip. I do get tho, that Notion is much more powerful in its capabilities
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly cross-platform knowledge base. AI is now nice to have. But of little use, as I cant use business data as input

Notion ai feedback for account business.j.hughes@gmail.com

  • May 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the flexibility of organization, and particularly the ability to view large quantities of information in a variety of ways quickly. I primarily use notion to coordinate my work projects, and as a video production company some of these projects are on retainers (like a podcast) and are very sizeable/long-term projects. The ability to move between kanban, calendar, gantt, and table views quickly and efficiently helps me keep everything organized and on track. Integrating AI has been excellent for kickstarting brainstorms, generating solutions quickly on-set or in post production, and skipping some of the "busy work" portions of my task list.
What do you dislike about the product?
The web-only nature of Notion makes the mobile apps a bit of a chore to use, particularly when trying to navigate a large database. Scrolling is often misinterpreted as selecting a field for data entry, and it's very difficult to get the app to understand when I am trying to "press and hold" to reorder blocks vs when I am trying to scroll vs when I am trying to enter data. As it specifically relates to notion ai, the biggest hurdle is, I believe, a limitation of using GPT 3.0, which is that I often receive incorrect answers when asking for complex (the most important) solutions. For example, I have four times prompted for code solutions and all 4 implementations have been wrong, even when I followed up with the ai by describing the error and asking it to check it's own code. When asking the ai to brainstorm 10 ideas of something, it will sometimes brainstorm the same 3 things repeating. In addition, sometimes I am trying to use the AI to parse a transcript (ie "summarize this transcript and include action items") and it won't let me select the whole transcript. It appears ai processing is limited to a certain number of blocks or characters, and that limit is far below the amount of characters in any substantial transcript, so this functionality which I would use weekly isn't available to me. In the same vein, it is hard to figure out the proper way to have the ai give me an answer relating to one block of code, vs everything on the page, vs ignoring the page - for example, sometimes I'm brainstorming ideas for something and have an unrelated idea and just want an ai block to pursue it before I forget the thought, but because it is trying to include everything on the page so far, it can't actually do the unrelated processing request. Other times, in the other direction, I wish AI could process the other pages in a database. For example, one of the podcasts I manage is a Dungeons and Dragons campaign. I have a database with information about characters, locations, major events, and so on. It would be great to embed that database on a page and then be able to ask the AI a question about "what a character might choose for interior decorating" and the ai be able to use database to link the character, the location, and the major events that might influence that decision.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing vast arrays of data, project management and team coordination, punctuality, kickstarting the preproduction process for a project, bypassing boring/tedious work.
