An invaluable tool for startups
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is an amazing productivity tool that has proven to be a game-changer for my team. One of the most useful features of this application is its ability to link databases, making it incredibly easy for us to access and update information across multiple channels. Additionally, we've found it incredibly easy to customize our workspace to fit the needs of our team, which has led to improved collaboration and overall efficiency. In fact, we've already seen a 2x increase in productivity, and we're confident that with more practice, we'll be able to scale this even further to achieve up to 5x or more in efficiency gains. If you're looking for a powerful, flexible tool to streamline your team's workflow, Notion is definitely worth checking out!
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion can be a challenging tool to use due to the steep learning curve and challenges integrating with other systems. However, it's still a powerful productivity tool that has a lot of potential for team collaboration and project management. The ability to link databases is incredibly helpful, and the customization options allow you to create a workspace tailored to your team's needs. While integrating Notion with other systems can be frustrating, it's a cost-effective solution that can provide significant benefits to your team's workflow. Overall, if you're willing to invest the time and effort into learning how to use Notion effectively, it can be a valuable addition to your team's toolkit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a team manager, I've found that Notion is an incredibly powerful tool for keeping my team organized and on track. We use it to manage projects, assign tasks, and track progress, and it has proven to be a real game-changer for us. The ability to centralize our knowledge base and share information in real-time has streamlined our workflows and improved communication across the team. I also appreciate how customizable Notion is. I can tailor it to meet the specific needs of my team, which has helped us work more efficiently and effectively.
Transformed the way I think about note taking
What do you like best about the product?
I love the way Notion helps me build connections between my notes and organise within my notes. It has the tools for both ad-hoc notetaking and building a flexible project management system. Two features in particular have changed how I take notes and organise my work - linked tables and a few special blocks.
Firstly, the linked tables -- which can instantly transform into kanban boards, tables, calendars, list or timelines -- are powerful and intuitive. Essentially, you can make table entries, but you can expand each of them into full notes. The table just allows you to powerfully group and filter those notes, and that is exactly what I needed. I love being able to categorise my notes with tags and add deadlines or statistics to them, as well as add status tags such as todo, in progress, etc to stay organised. One thing that really helps me is setting deadlines on the entries and getting Notion to send me an email reminder. It especially helps when I need to check up on something in a month or few months time.
Notion uses this 'block' system for each type of text or work. For example, a paragraph is a block, and an embed or an image or a bullet point is a block. Blocks can be nested under or within each other, or placed side by side. I love using > as a shortcut to hide parts of my notes which aren't as relevant to the main idea but that I still don't want to use. Even better, now they have also implemented collapsible heders, and it is my new favourite feature. I find myself missing these collapsible blocks when I'm taking notes in other software. I use template blocks to simplify more repetitive work, as it auto-populates the document with a format that I can specify. I also like callout blocks to highlight particular parts of my work.

What do you dislike about the product?
Mostly I love Notion, but there are a few faults. The export feature is really troublesome -- and it only exports to HTML, markdown, and PDF. You can't customise anything about the way it exports, and the default margins, colours and sizing is just not to my liking. You lose a lot of your formatting as well if you move your Notion work to other software, which is tricky when I work with others using Notion.
It is difficult to bulk download files.
On the personal plan, cooperation is possible, but a little clunky. Enterprise collaboration is significantly better, but issues persist like two people not being able to edit the same block at once and sometimes some lag and delay in who is typing.
Notion integrations vary in quality and usefulness. JIRA and Github for example seem very limited in the additional information supplied - but if I remember correctly, whimsical was enough to be useful. Embedding webpages has worked great for me in some instances, but most webpages are not designed to be embedded, so it is slightly less effective than I thought it would be.

Most Efficient Note Tool. You can do many things with Notion.
What do you like best about the product?
I can use it for many purposes. My company decided to use Noiton as a company portal site. Also, I use Notion for research results, meeting minutes, and log histories.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since there are many functions, sometimes I find it hard to find a certain feature. Also, I heard about a new feature launch that you can use tabs that enable you to switch pages easily but I still cannot find the feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great Knowledge Base: I use Notion for leaving information we agreed with the team as history, onboarding pages for new employees, and the information that we might look back on in the future.
I was looking for a tool that allowed me to organize myself for my 1. state exam in law
What do you like best about the product?
the toogle function. it allows me to structure my exam schemes. Also th data base makes it easy to organize all the relevant law cases and the keywork function makes it easy to repeat specific topics.
What do you dislike about the product?
there is only one typeface. it would be nice to have a comment function that doesnt show the comment on the side but shows a small window once you move the cursor on a speccific word.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In order to repeat the exam schemes for my german law degree i neede a tool that allows me to fold and unfold the conditions of a §§. The german law study isnt digitalzied yet and the books are really heavy. after i uploaded all my personal notes, the cases and the desicions, i only need my ipad to study. what a relief!
Great functionality and excellent customer service
What do you like best about the product?
I like how I manage to put everything in one place, but organized and divided. the freedom to customize however I want is amazing, doesn't even compare to others
What do you dislike about the product?
I had problems with my account, it took a while but they solved it perfectly so I have nothing to complain about, but a little more agility would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage to organize appointments, meetings, tests, consultations, track habits, communicate easily with the team, it is complete in every way.
Perfect for everything
What do you like best about the product?
Notion has become such an integral part of my daily routine. I am using Notion for almost everything throughout my day, starting with project and task management, gathering Wikis, managing an editorial calendar, and more.
Notion Databases has changed the game for me making all my ideas, content, and itineraries organized just the way i want and viewd just the way it makes sense along with the powerful filtering capabilities; it just works...!!!
The recent introduction of Notion AI has made me so productive, helping me write content much faster, helping me find relevant information on the fly, improving my writing and change the tone of content as needed. i would say it's a perfect co-pilot for content creators.

What do you dislike about the product?
I find a few minor problems with accessibility. I am visually impaired, rely on Zoom, and require a darker or high-contrast background to comprehend text on the screen. The lack of Theming or the ability to choose Color preference, like what obsidian offers, is a problem.
I also find a few problems with the desktop app not working correctly with the Read aloud feature built in into windows Magnifier.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion fits my needs perfectly. I could have everything all in one place like having a project manager, managing tasks while documenting them, which could become a knowledge base. That's perfect everything I need in one place
The Second Brain you didn't know you needed
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is a user friendly software/website that makes it so easy to organize my tasks, life, and work. I highly recommend to everyone who is done using alternatives with ugly UI and are cumbersome.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Notion is that it operates on a freemium model like lots of software. BUT they must do that to make money, and who wouldn't support a great product?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is helping me with preproduction for all my filmmaking needs: storyboarding, scripting, general note taking, etc. It is also helping me track engagement with my audience!
Notion made me organized
What do you like best about the product?
I love the Database system of notion. It helps organise things in the best way possible. Before using the notion database, I previously used evernote, google keep, noteskeep. I didn't even know I needed a database until I started using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. Honestly, till now, I haven't found anything that I dislike about the notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving my notes keeping problem and organising projects and helping to keep track all of them.
Useful and accesible
What do you like best about the product?
I find it really useful that it allows you to create different pages which are perfect for a variety of activities such as to write essays, thoughts, your shop list, etc. Also, the app is equally useful for desktop as for my cellphone. I use it for reminders, to mark dates in my calendars, to control my finances, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think without the desktop app you can't possibly set up your Notion with the cellphone app. I feel like it isn't the most easy system to understand, I am a young person and I understood it pretty quickly with a few videos of reference but my mom (+55) wasn't able to even set it up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find it amazing to have all the information I wanna acces in the same space. I can access to it from many places and I like the design of the platform. I keep track of my finances with it and I also use it for my college notes and homework's.
Amazing all-in-one productivity platform
What do you like best about the product?
Notion has a super clean user interface that puts the content at the center and makes it very enjoyable to use. I also like its nested page system, which essentially gives each page the option of being a "folder" while still being able to write things on the page. Databases are also super useful!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features such as forms, slideshows, and charts are missing from Notion (natively, at least), which would be greatly useful for migrating from Google Drive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion as the central hub for a club I lead at my university. It's great for taking meeting notes, writing documents, and keeping a database of all of our expenses. I also use Notion personally to write notes I intend to share with others through the "notion.site" pages.
